Abstract

This research entitled "Internet of Things-Based Room Temperature Control Based on the Number of Occupants in a Room," aims to design and implement a room temperature control system that is responsive to the number of occupants in a room, using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. In this modern era, the need for thermal comfort in workspaces is increasingly important, especially in the context of efficient work environments. The proposed system utilizes ultrasonic sensors to detect the number of occupants and DHT22 sensors to monitor temperature and humidity. The collected data is then used to automatically adjust temperature settings, thereby creating a comfortable and energy-efficient environment. The results show that this system can improve occupant comfort and optimize energy use. Furthermore, integration with the ThingsBoard platform allows remote temperature monitoring and regulation, providing additional flexibility for users. Thus, this research is expected to provide an innovative solution for smarter and more efficient room temperature control.

Abstract

The inventory recording process in the tool store of a mechanical engineering workshop is still done manually, making it prone to errors, delays, and difficulties in inventory management, especially when there are a large number of items or similar tools. This research aims to develop an RFID-based item identification system connected to the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve data collection efficiency and accuracy. The system uses an RFID RC522 to read the UID of the RFID card installed on each item, with a NodeMCU ESP8266 as the microcontroller. The UID and reading time are displayed on an I2C LCD and automatically sent to Google Sheets via an internet connection. Test results show the system is capable of reading and sending data with a success rate of up to 90%, while 10% of failures occur due to network connection disruptions. Thus, the system proves effective in automating the inventory recording process and minimizing human error.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of the Disaster Victim Module in the SiKembar (Sistem Informasi Keluar Masuk Barang) web-based application. The development of this module aims to optimize data management of disaster victims and aid distribution during natural disasters, specifically within the Cianjur Regency area. The module is designed with three main features: aid submission, aid distribution, and victim data collection. The research adopts a web-based software development method using PHP programming language and the CodeIgniter framework. The developed module is directly integrated into the existing SiKembar system and tested using the black-box testing method to ensure that all functionalities operate as expected. Based on internal testing results, the system is capable of facilitating the data collection, aid application, and distribution processes in a more structured and efficient manner. Development results demonstrate the potential to enhance the effectiveness of data management and post-disaster aid coordination in a systematic and responsive manner within the BPBD of Cianjur Regency

Abstract

The consumption pattern of society has been changed by advances in information and communication technology, especially in terms of online food and beverage ordering. In order for the process to run efficiently and reliably, an ideal database design is needed to support this system. However, previous studies have focused more on the appearance of the interface and application functions, while database design has not been studied thoroughly. This study uses the Life Cycle of Database System Development (DBSDLC) methodology, which includes the planning stage, literature research, and database design. Starting by creating a conceptual ERD, finding primary and potential keys, and then developing a logical model through validation and optimization of the structure. The results of the study produce a database model with main entities such as customers, orders, menus, payments, addresses, vouchers, transactions, baskets, and admins. All entities are connected to the conceptual ERD with clear and structured relationships. Payment types, menu variations, and order items are some of the system complexities that can be handled by this model. This construction plays an important role in creating an effective online food ordering system.

Abstract

Advances in information technology are driving government agencies to improve data governance quickly, accurately, and in an integrated manner. The Banyuwangi Central Statistics Agency (BPS) requires a State Property (BMN) recording system capable of improving the quality of its governance. This system was designed to minimize errors in manual recording, expedite report preparation, and facilitate real-time data access. This research aims to create a web-based state property data collection information system using a prototype method, enabling active user and developer involvement from the design process through testing. This research obtained data through observation, interviews, studies, documentation, and references from various sources. The resulting system features incoming and outgoing goods data input, reporting, and automatic validation to avoid data duplication. This system is expected to strengthen BMN management at BPS Banyuwangi, facilitate digital transformation in administration, and serve as a reference for the application of information technology in government agencies.

Abstract

System design is a series of activities that describes in detail the system being implemented. The design of the information system for the employee performance report at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Office of Banyuwangi Regency assists stakeholders in monitoring the performance of employees who are carrying out their work. By creating this system design, the process of monitoring reports becomes easier and more effective. The method used in the system design employs the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with a prototype model that involves several stages, namely problem identification, needs analysis, system modeling design, and system prototype design. The result of this research is a prototype design in the form of a dashboard that is needed in the system so that each user can input completed work data in real-time and stakeholders can monitor reports from employees. Thus, the design of the employee performance achievement information system at the BPS Office of Banyuwangi Regency can play a role and function to assist in a more structured employee performance administration.

Abstract

This study was conducted in the Planning Division of PLN UID S2JB with a focus on implementing the Supply Chain Management Marketplace (SMAR) as a digital procurement system aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of material procurement, which is crucial for ensuring reliable electricity supply operations. Although SMAR was designed to accelerate processes, facilitate coordination, and enhance administrative transparency, its implementation still faces several challenges, including lengthy approval chains requiring multiple verification levels up to the central office, discrepancies in item quantities due to vendor stock limitations, and the suboptimal utilization of the Integrated Procurement Management System (IPMS), which results in some administrative documents still being processed manually. The objective of this research is to assess the effectiveness of SMAR using four key indicators—process speed, accuracy of goods received, ease of coordination, and transparency of documentation—while also providing recommendations for system improvements. This qualitative descriptive study employed observation, interviews with Planning Division staff, and documentation review of SMAR’s business processes. The findings indicate that SMAR has contributed positively, particularly in enhancing transparency and coordination, as procurement documents can be easily tracked and communication between units and vendors has improved; however, challenges remain in terms of process speed and quantity accuracy. Based on these findings, recommended strategies include implementing risk-based approval to streamline approvals without compromising control, integrating real-time vendor stock data to minimize quantity discrepancies, and optimizing IPMS to fully support document digitalization. These measures are expected to comprehensively improve SMAR’s effectiveness and contribute to PLN UID S2JB’s overall operational performance in the long term.

Abstract

This study examines the use of information technology in monitoring the Corporate Culture Purpose (CCP) program at PT PLN (Persero) UID S2JB to support a Zero Accident work culture. A mixed-methods approach was applied through observation, interviews, documentation, and data analysis using the Team Gaint application. Results show that most units achieved a medium compliance level (60–80%), with 71% of programs meeting standards and 29% not compliant. The main challenges include reporting delays, limited internet access, and insufficient digital training. The use of Team Gaint has proven effective in accelerating monitoring, although improvements in infrastructure and human resource competence are still required.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the data management system of Corporate Culture Purpose (CCP) implemented at PT PLN (Persero) UID S2JB. Currently, the CCP data management process relies on a third-party application (TeamGantt), which has several limitations such as lack of integration with PLN’s internal systems, absence of automated validation, and inconsistency in reporting formats. The research method uses an evaluative approach with general and specific situation analysis, as well as problem identification to reveal the existing gaps. The results indicate that many reports do not comply with the established guidelines in terms of completeness, accuracy, and consistency. As a solution, this study proposes a more structured and integrated information system design for CCP data management to better support the company’s needs.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement an Android-based e-Loket Information System at the Banyuwangi Post Office as a solution to address long queues, service delays, and the limitations of the manual system currently in use. This system is designed to streamline the service process, from queue number acquisition to service selection. The research method used is descriptive analytical, with data collection through observation and interviews. The system design was conducted using the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of request, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance. The system is equipped with automatic queue number acquisition and digital dialing. The results indicate that the implementation of the Android-based e-Loket information system can improve transaction processes and increase customer satisfaction, thus having a positive impact on the Banyuwangi Post Office environment
