Abstract

Infrastructure development has an important role in social change and economic development in a country. The aim of this research is to describe how infrastructure development such as community facilities, roads or bridges can influence the value of life and prosperity of society. The method used is a descriptive method with a literature approach, by analyzing 50 national and international journals that have been published online. Before the paper is published, it must first be discussed with peers and colleagues to get meaningful input. After the paper has been revised according to colleagues' input, the paper is published to add to the development of educational science. Based on the results of the literacy analysis, it can be concluded that the impact of infrastructure development on social and economic changes in society is that, firstly, infrastructure development functions as a social driving factor, which can increase accessibility and connectivity which can encourage further economic growth. Second, although the development of this infrastructure has positive impacts such as improving the quality of life of the community and also providing employment opportunities, on the other hand there are negative impacts such as a lack of community participation in development and potential damage to the environment. Third, the government's strategy in managing social impacts emphasizes the importance of community participation during development implementation and planning. Fourth, a policy evaluation is very important in ensuring that development can empower all communities effectively and efficiently, by evaluating socio-economic impacts and setting policies in accordance with feedback from the community. The recommendation of this research is that the government may have to carry out a comprehensive plan and participate in sustainable infrastructure development, as well as provide assistance to reduce negative impacts on society. Therefore, it is hoped that infrastructure development will be a driver of sustainable social and economic change.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe social movements in encouraging environmental awareness: a study of zero waste campaigns using a literature approach. The method used is a descriptive method with a literature approach, by analyzing 50 international and national journals that have been published online. Before the paper is published, it must first be discussed with peers and colleagues to get meaningful input. After the paper has been revised according to colleagues' input, the paper is published to increase the scope of scientific development. Increasingly complex environmental problems, especially those related to increasing waste volumes, require an approach that is not only technical, but also social. Social movements are an effective strategy in forming society's collective awareness of environmental issues. This research aims to examine the role of social movements, particularly through zero waste campaigns, in encouraging awareness and changing people's behavior towards a sustainable lifestyle. The method used is a literature study with analysis of various journals and activity reports related to zero waste campaigns in various regions. The results of the study show that the zero waste campaign is able to increase public understanding of waste management, encourage changes in consumption and production patterns, and open up opportunities for innovation based on a circular economy. However, implementation in the field still faces challenges such as limited facilities, uneven education, and lack of policy support. Therefore, synergy between actors, from society, community, to government, is the key to strengthening this movement in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This research aims to critically examine various literature related to the impact of government policies on the effectiveness of community empowerment programs. Community empowerment programs have become an important instrument in socio-economic development, but their effectiveness is greatly influenced by the formulation and implementation of public policies. This study identifies that policies that are participatory, based on local needs, and supported by consistent regulations and adequate funding tend to have a positive impact on empowerment outcomes. On the other hand, a top-down approach without community involvement often results in unsustainable programs. The literature also highlights the importance of synergy between levels of government and implementing institutions to accelerate equitable empowerment. This study provides the implication that improvements in aspects of planning, coordination and policy evaluation can increase the effectiveness of empowerment programs in various local contexts.

From the results of this research, it can be illustrated that modernization has had a positive impact on easy access for people to learn about various customs and cultures in Indonesia. However, it will have a negative impact if people do not maintain their cultural identity.
