Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity is motivated by the phenomenon of technologyaddiction such as gadgets, social media, the internet and online games among children andteenagers. This phenomenon is a new challenge that parents as part of the closest family mustpay attention to. Parents need to adapt to changes in the digital era and understand emergingtrends in order to optimize balanced parenting. Therefore, PkM with the theme "Socialization ofParenting Patterns for Children and Adolescents in the Digital Era (PAAREDI)" has beencarried out to empower the role of parents in carrying out parenting patterns in a loving,inclusive, communicative and supportive manner in the digital era. PkM activities were carriedout using the counseling or socialization method which was attended by 150 PKK cadres inBalerejo Village, Kebonsari District, Madiun Regency. The PkM results show that all PKKcadres gain knowledge and understanding of the importance of education and parentingpatterns for children and teenagers by families in their environment. Apart from that, PkMactivities are also needed by PKK cadres to be able to intensify family character education inorder to encourage the creation of a family of faith, noble and virtuous morals.

Abstract

The waste problem is a pressing global issue because it has a significant impact on the environment. Waste banks are present as an innovative solution in waste management through a waste savings system that involves the community. However, the effectiveness of waste bank management is often constrained by a lack of knowledge and active participation from the community. This article discusses community service activities that aim to increase awareness of waste management and identify sustainable business potential at the Benda Baru Pamulang Waste Bank. The method of implementing the activity includes a needs survey, preparation of socialization materials, implementation of participatory education, and evaluation of program success. The activity was carried out through counseling on the basic concepts of waste management, sustainable business opportunities, and the use of technology in the recycling process. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of waste sorting (70.83% to 84.77%) and sustainable business knowledge (48.17% to 74.15%). However, limited time, human resources, and technology are challenges for the implementation of independent recycling practices. This activity emphasizes that sustainable education is needed to encourage more effective and economically valuable waste management. Waste banks have the potential to develop as independent business entities through recycled product innovations, such as handicrafts and eco-enzyme initiatives. The sustainability of the program requires technological support and training to improve operational efficiency and product quality. This initiative is expected to not only increase environmental awareness, but also build entrepreneurial character for waste bank managers and customers.

Abstract

Web management and cloud based information management for an organization, including small organizations, is very necessary so that the organization's website, data and information can be well maintained and can be displayed and used at any time for various organizational needs. In the current digital era, conveying information in the form of announcements via messaging applications such as WhatsApp is no longer effective because often, because of the large amount of information, messages become piled up and difficult to find. Conveying information quickly and efficiently is what is an obstacle in this organization, for this reason the PKM team of lecturers and students was moved to provide training on cloud-based web and information management to administrators of the Poris Residence Catholic community organization, Tangerang City as a solution to overcome this obstacle. After attending this training, organizational administrators have better web and information management skills, they are even able to manage web-based information media that can be accessed by all members of the organization. The results of the training can be felt by the entire organization because important information can now be conveyed more quickly, clearly and efficiently.

Abstract

Not all tourist destinations in the Seribu Islands are considered having no obstacles. Among various islands, one of them is Untung Jawa Island which still improves. In fact, the condition of tourist destinations on Untung Jawa Island has kept great potency but has not been managed optimally yet. This was caused by some factors, one of them was less promotion effort carried out by tour guides on the island. Therefore, on December 17, 2024, the community service team conducted sharing and training for participants from "Puja Berhias" members. The community service activities were filled with providing materials related to increasing the effectiveness of tourism promotion through content by relying on storytelling techniques. From the results of the activity, the participants were able to re-explore the narrative of promotional content social media. From simple content at the beginning, it has now become more creative content and has selling value. Hopefully, the community service activities can sharpen the knowledge and skill of the community of Untung Jawa Island.
