Abstract

This research sought to ascertain and characterize how the use of digital learning resources improved the dance learning outcomes of Class VIII SMPN 17 Kerinci pupils. Class action research (PTK), a subset of qualitative research, is the kind of study that this is. The researcher is the primary instrument in this study, with the help of supporting instruments in the form of written assessments (cognitive). Twenty-five pupils from class VIII A at SMP Negeri 17 Kerinci served as the study's subjects. Two cycles of planning, execution, observation, and reflection were employed in this study. The findings demonstrated that using digital learning resources to teach dance may enhance student learning outcomes. Due to the fact that many pupils still do not take learning seriously, cycle I learning has not been successfully implemented; cycle II learning continues this education. Cycle II learning has been implemented with good execution. Nearly all of the tasks at each level are completed, and students are actively engaged in their education, increasing the quality of their learning results. The average student learning results from written tests during cycle I were 56%, whereas the average student learning outcomes during cycle II were 84%. Applying digital learning media to dance education has been shown to improve student learning results, according to data analysis and debate.

This study aims to analyze the role of painting activities in the development of fine motor skills, concentration, emotional regulation, and self-expression of CSN at the Integrated Center Prof. Dr. Soeharso Surakarta. Using a descriptive-qualitative method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman's interactive techniques, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that painting activities effectively train fine motor skills through the use of brushes, enhance concentration and emotional regulation abilities, and provide a platform for self-expression for CSN. Moreover, painting helps boost children’s self-confidence through the appreciation of their artwork. These findings emphasize the importance of painting as part of an educational and therapeutic approach to support CSN development. Its implication is that painting can be more broadly implemented in inclusive educational activities to strengthen children’s abilities in various aspects of development.

Abstract

Film is a medium that functions as entertainment and an effective means of communication in conveying messages, stories and emotions to the audience. "Two Blue Hearts" by Gina S. Noer is a follow-up film to the story of Bima and Dara, a young couple who married at an early age because of a mistake. After four years apart since the birth of their son, Adam, Dara decided to return to Jakarta to be with Bima and Adam. Conflicts in their household arise again when Dara struggles to get closer to Adam, who does not yet recognize her as a mother. This research aims to determine the application of linear plot in the development of the story in the film "Dua Hati Biru". The theory used is the Linear Plot from Elizabeth Lutter. The results show that the use of a linear plot in Dua Hati Biru allows the audience to see the emotional transitions and dynamics of Bima and Dara's relationship clearly. This approach is effective in depicting character growth through a consistent passage of time, without relying on a back-and-forth plot.

Abstract

The documentary film "Museum Perkebunan Indonesia" by Fabio Fahrezi Canavaro uses the expository technique to present the history of plantations in Indonesia in a factual and educational manner. This technique emphasizes the clear delivery of information through authoritative narration, visual archives, and expert interviews, providing the audience with a deeper understanding. The documentary is structured in a chronological narrative, starting with the early history of plantations during the colonial era, the post-independence developments, and the relevance of plantations in the modern era. Observations of the film reveal the use of visual archives, such as old plantation photos, historical documents, and colonial maps, as well as interviews with historians and plantation practitioners, enriching the narrative. The combination of clear verbal narration and visual evidence strengthens the presented information, making it easier to comprehend. The expository technique successfully changes the perception of plantation history, which was previously considered monotonous, into something more engaging and relevant. This documentary not only serves as a medium for historical education but also provides a fresh perspective on the role of plantations as a key pillar of Indonesia’s economy. Through this approach, the film serves as an effective example of expository technique in historical documentary filmmaking in Indonesia, encouraging the audience to explore often-overlooked history.
