Abstract

This paper explores the thoughts of Sutan Takdir Alisyahbana (STA). STA is referred to as a cultural practitioner, because it discusses more the cultures that enter Indonesia, such as Indian, Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic and native Indonesian culture, even it also discusses western culture. He also wrote a lot such as poetry, novels, philosophy books and he was among the first to make Indonesian terms, so he was called a writer. This research is a type of library research (library research) by presenting qualitative-interpretative data. The purpose of this study is to reveal the fact that the religion of Islam in Indonesia is a religion that does not dichotomize between the reality supported by invoices and spiritual reality because Islam today is deeply engrossed in the history of the development of Islam in the time of the Prophet Muhammad, also today Islam is shackled with religious myths, so as to be able to resolve Islam in Indonesia, it cannot develop and is anti-Western rationality. STA thinking is rooted in the humanist understanding that developed in Europe from the Renaissance to the rise of new-positivism. Its humanism is built on human liberation from the shackles of mythology and religion.

Abstract

Such as synergizing between the world-hereafter, outward-inward, sharia-nature, God-human, individual-social, and the task as servants of God on earth in a balanced and proportional manner, which in turn gave birth to moderate humans. This paper uses the literature method by exploring and collecting various books, articles, journals, and other documents related to the themes discussed. Findings: Hamka is an archipelago Muslim intellectual figure known for his scientific productivity, evidenced by various works produced in various disciplines, including modern Sufism. Nasaruddin Umar is also an intellectual figure in the Muslim archipelago known as a professor of interpretation of the Qur'an, who also has ideas in the world of Sufism, with his modern Sufism. Modern Sufism that they both thought of as a form of ideas and movements to integrate the interests of the world and the hereafter, the world is used as a medium to draw closer to God, not away from the world. This moderate concept (tawasuth) later gave birth to a paradigm of a balanced industrial era of industrial revolution (tawazun), proportional (i'tidal), tolerance (tasamuh) which eventually became socially and spiritually pious societies.

Abstract

Compared to previous years, women's participation in the political arena in the country in the last few years increased significantly. In the 2019 national elections, at the central level, 16 political parties had won a 30 percent quota for women candidates. This is certainly our appreciation, although the representation of women's representation at the provincial and district/city levels is still far from ideal. Likewise with the participation of female representatives from Nahdlatul Ulama. The results of the 2019 elections were quite significant changes, both representative from Fatayat and Muslimat. However, this significant increase in terms of numbers left a trap that seemed to entwine other NU women in the arena of national politics. Many NU women who opposed and issued him out of the ordinary, even raised in the discussion room, were unable to NU politics that adopted a system of the breed, dynasty, and over budgeting. Successful NU women "have no clear breed" have to settle for playing in the periphery of political space.

Abstract

One of the interesting phenomena in the "Kampung Madinah" in Temboro Karas Magetan is the tradition of closing shop when the prayer time. The urgency in this research is to review these practices and explain their correlation with the hadith or sunnah of the Messenger of Allah. The research is field research that limits the problem to the application of the value of the sunnah to the tradition of closing shop in the kampung Madinah. The approach used is the sociology of knowledge which implies that reality is socially constructed. The result is that the tradition of closing shop when prayer time is the process of conveying the understanding conveyed by the followers of Jamaah Tabligh through the study of the book Fad}a>il al-A'ma>l which is recited at both bayan and ta'lim. Thus the closing shop when the prayer time is the actualization of the understanding of fiqh inspired by the hadith about the superiority of prayer in congregation.
