Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Project-based Learning (PjBL) in improving students' critical thinking skills. The method used is a narrative review study, which examines various studies related to the impact of PjBL on critical thinking skills at various levels of education. A literature search was conducted using keywords such as "project-based learning," "critical thinking skills," and "students" through online databases, focusing on articles published in the last five years. The results of the study indicate that PjBL has a positive impact on improving critical thinking skills, especially in terms of analysis and problem solving. Project design that is relevant to students' real lives, sufficient implementation duration, and active support from educators are factors that influence the success of PjBL implementation. Although PjBL is considered effective, the results vary, especially at the elementary education level, where the project design needs to be adjusted to students' cognitive development. This study suggests that the implementation of PjBL be further considered at various levels of education, by considering contextual factors and educator readiness in implementing this method. In addition, training for educators to design and implement effective PjBL is urgently needed. This study provides practical recommendations for educators and policy makers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom (FC) method in foreign language learning. The method used in this study is a narrative review, which examines various studies related to the application of FC in the context of foreign language learning. This study identifies the main factors that influence the success or failure of FC, such as technological readiness, student skills, teacher readiness, and social and cultural factors. The results of the study indicate that FC can improve students' speaking and foreign language comprehension skills, but its effectiveness is highly dependent on the availability of technology, student readiness in using digital technology, and teaching skills. This study recommends that educators be given further training in using technology to support FC-based learning, as well as the need for adjustments to the local context and student needs to optimize its implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the opportunities and challenges in implementing social media-based learning. Using a literature review research method, this study examines various previous studies that discuss the use of social media in education, both in the context of student engagement, access to information, learning flexibility, and emerging challenges. The results of the study indicate that social media-based learning can increase student engagement, expand access to learning resources, and provide flexibility in the learning process. However, significant challenges were also found, such as distractions from non-educational content, teachers' unpreparedness in using technology, and privacy issues arising from the use of social media. This study makes an important contribution by identifying solutions that can be implemented, such as technology training for teachers and more structured arrangements for the use of social media.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the challenges and opportunities provided by the implementation of the flipped classroom model in mathematics learning, especially to support students' independent learning. The method used in this study is the Integrative Literature Review, which includes five stages, namely compiling review questions, collecting literature data, critical assessment of literature data, thematic data extraction and analysis, and presenting findings and discussions. The findings indicate that flipped classrooms have great potential to increase student engagement, support independent learning, and develop problem-solving skills. However, the main challenges faced are students' less than optimal independent skills, unequal access to technology, and difficulties in time management. This study recommends providing training to students in managing independent learning, as well as strengthening equitable access to technology across students. Further research is recommended to examine the implementation of flipped classrooms in various educational settings and explore more specific innovative solutions to address existing challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of educational level on the effectiveness of flipped classroom in improving students' academic achievement. The method used is Integrative Literature Review, which analyzes various studies related to the implementation of flipped classroom at various levels of education, including primary, secondary, and tertiary education. The main findings indicate that flipped classroom can improve students' understanding of the material and academic achievement at all levels of education, with a more significant impact on secondary and tertiary students. However, the effectiveness of this model depends on factors such as students' digital skills, teacher readiness, and adequate access to technology. This study recommends that further research be conducted to explore the adaptation of flipped classroom in different geographical and cultural contexts, as well as to evaluate the long-term impact of implementing this model at various levels of education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of video duration in the flipped classroom learning model on student engagement and understanding. The method used in this study was a narrative review, which reviewed and summarized various relevant studies published in the last five years regarding video duration and its impact on student learning experiences. The findings showed that the optimal video duration is highly dependent on the complexity of the material being delivered. Short videos are more effective for simple materials, while long videos are more appropriate for topics that require in-depth explanations, with the use of interactive elements such as questions and quizzes that increase student engagement. In addition, the technical quality of the video, including good visual and audio elements, greatly influences the effectiveness of learning. Based on these findings, practical recommendations for educators are to design learning videos that consider the appropriate duration for the topic being taught, as well as using interactive elements to maintain student engagement. In addition, it is important to ensure the quality of video production in order to support better understanding by students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of humanistic-based group counseling to improve students' self-confidence. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 11 8th grade students of SMPN 234 Jakarta who have low self-confidence. The counseling process includes the stages of opening, transition, core activities, and ending. The results showed a significant increase in aspects of public speaking, assertiveness, and open acceptance of criticism. An empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental counseling environment provides space for students to recognize their potential and increase their self-confidence. This study recommends the integration of a humanistic approach in school counseling programs to support students' psychological development.

Abstract

An inverter is an electronic device that functions to convert direct current (DC) voltage into alternating current (AC) voltage. In this design, a single-phase inverter is developed to convert 12V DC into 220V AC using a PWM IC type CD4047BE as the pulse signal generator. The CD4047BE is operated in astable mode to produce a symmetrical square wave signal, which is then amplified and used to control power transistors or MOSFETs that act as switching devices for the step-up transformer. The transformer increases the output voltage up to 220V AC. This system is designed for small-scale applications such as emergency lighting or light electronic devices. Testing showed that the inverter circuit is capable of generating AC voltage with a frequency close to 50 Hz and a waveform that approximates a square wave. These results indicate that the CD4047BE is effective as a PWM controller in a simple inverter system.

Abstract

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of how monetary policy affects the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative approach through literature review, documentation, and semi-structured interviews with MSME actors and financial practitioners. The main focus is on the perceptions of business actors regarding the impact of changes in interest rates and liquidity on access to financing, revenue growth, and business sustainability. The findings indicate that monetary policy, particularly in the form of interest rate reductions and liquidity easing, is perceived positively by MSME actors, although its implementation still faces structural challenges. This study concludes that the effectiveness of monetary policy in promoting MSMEs is highly influenced by the role of financial intermediaries and the broader macroeconomic conditions.

Abstract

The issues of energy crisis and global warming have driven innovation in the development of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient technologies. One promising solution is the utilization of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) as a renewable energy source for small-scale electricity needs, such as in room temperature control systems. This study aims to design and implement a room temperature control system based on Arduino, which is fully powered by energy from PLTS. The system operates by reading the room temperature using a DHT22 temperature sensor, and then automatically activates a fan or cooling device according to predetermined temperature thresholds. All the energy used in this system is supplied by solar panels connected to an energy storage and conversion system. Testing results show that the system functions effectively in maintaining room temperature within a comfortable range and is capable of operating independently without relying on the conventional power grid. The use of PLTS in this system not only provides energy efficiency but also contributes to environmental conservation efforts by reducing carbon emissions.
