Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan di zaman digital membutuhkan kemampuan untuk memanfaatkan Teknologi Informasi (TI) dengan baik guna mendukung proses pembelajaran yang efisien. Namun, situasi di Kota Bengkulu menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan akses terhadap TI masih menjadi permasalahan yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi langkah-langkah strategis dalam mengatasi kendala tersebut di konteks pendidikan SMP Kota Bengkulu. Melalui metode kajian kepustakaan, kajian ini melibatkan analisis mendalam terhadap literatur, jurnal ilmiah, dan sumber-sumber terpercaya lainnya yang relevan dengan topik keterbatasan akses IT pada tingkat sekolah menengah pertama di kota Bengkulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendati keterbatasan akses TI menjadi hambatan, terdapat beberapa langkah strategis yang bisa ditempuh untuk mengatasinya. Diantaranya adalah pengembangan kurikulum yang mengakomodasi keterbatasan teknologi, pelatihan bagi guru dalam mengoptimalkan sumber daya yang terbatas, kerjasama antar sekolah, dan pemanfaatan alternatif teknologi yang lebih terjangkau. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah perlunya perhatian yang lebih serius terhadap pengembangan strategi pendidikan yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan lokal, khususnya dalam menghadapi keterbatasan akses TI. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan bagi para pemangku kepentingan di bidang pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di SMP Kota Bengkulu, serta dapat menjadi dasar bagi penelitian selanjutnya dengan konteks serupa. ABSTRACT Education in the digital age requires the ability to utilize Information Technology (IT) well to support an efficient learning process. However, the situation in Bengkulu City shows that limited access to IT is still a significant problem in improving the quality of education at the junior high school (SMP) level. This research aims to identify strategic steps in overcoming these obstacles in the context of junior high school education in Bengkulu City. Using the literature review method, this study involves an in-depth analysis of literature, scientific journals and other reliable sources relevant to the topic of limited IT access at the junior high school level in the city of Bengkulu. The research results show that although limited IT access is an obstacle, there are several strategic steps that can be taken to overcome it. Among them are curriculum development that accommodates technological limitations, training for teachers in optimizing limited resources, collaboration between schools, and the use of more affordable technological alternatives. The implication of these findings is the need for more serious attention to the development of educational strategies that are adaptive to local needs, especially in the face of limited IT access. It is hoped that this research can provide a significant contribution to stakeholders in the education sector to improve the quality of learning in Bengkulu City Middle Schools, and can become the basis for further research in a similar context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan dalam untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran jurisprudential inquiry dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa Kelas X MAN Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan di kelas dengan tujuan memperbaiki atau meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dan setiap siklus dengan dua kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi, tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran jurisprudential inquiry dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sosiologi. Hal tersebut ditunjukan dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar peserta didik pada setiap siklusnya. pada pra siklus siswa yang memiliki kategori kurang 20 orang dengan persentase 66,67% siswa yang memiliki kategori sedang 6 orang dengan persentase 20% sedangkan siswa yang memiliki kategori cukup 4 orang dengan persentase 13,33%. Pada siklus I siswa yang memiliki kategori kurang 7 orang dengan persentase 23,34% siswa yang memiliki kategori sedang 8 orang dengan persentase 26,66% sedangkan siswa yang memiliki kategori cukup 15 orang dengan persentase 50%. Sedangkan pada siklus II siswa yang memiliki kategori sedang 3 orang dengan persentase 10%, siswa yang memiliki kategori cukup 3 orang dengan persentase 10%, siswa yang memiliki kategori baik 20 orang dengan persentase 66,67% dan siswa yang memiliki kategori sangat baik 4 orang dengan persentase 13,33% maka persentase ketuntasan pada siklus II ialah 90%.

Abstract

This research aims to implement the wall magazine poster-based method on science learning interest on the theme of force and motion in class IV SD Negeri 060866 Medan Krakatau. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews and student evaluations. The results showed that students' understanding had a positive effect on science learning outcomes, where 90% of students showed interest in the poster media used. In addition, students' positive learning interest contributed to good learning outcomes. This study concludes that the use of poster media can increase students' interest and understanding in learning science, so it is expected to be applied more widely in the learning process.

Abstract

This research is conducted to discover the leadership style of grade V teachers at SDN 060877 Medan Perjuangan and its influence over the students. The approach used in the study is a qualitative descriptive method where data were collected from the sample of ten classroom teachers through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation. The results of this research have shown that the greater number of teachers applied such a style of leadership, which enhances students' desire and interest to learn, to be more precise, to learn in this autocratic leadership style. The students' motivation was found to fall and during this laissez faire–style some of them were found confused for not having proper guidance. These findings agree with the theory of educational leadership theories, which insist that students be active in a process for better results. The present study suggests that educators practice more of the participative leadership style and take training for leadership development to develop leadership. So as to foster a more participatory and effective classroom atmosphere which enhances students' disposition and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning engagement through the implementation of the Quizizz-based Game-Based Learning model in Sociology subjects. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles involving 30 twelfth-grade students at SMA Negeri 7 Kupang. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that in the pre-cycle stage, students’ learning engagement was relatively low, with an average score of 67 and learning outcomes of 58.9. In Cycle I, student engagement increased to 76.5 and learning outcomes reached 77.06, although the target had not been achieved. In Cycle II, after improving instructional strategies, student engagement significantly increased to 84.33 and learning outcomes reached 87.86. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Quizizz-based Game-Based Learning model is effective in enhancing students’ learning engagement. Therefore, game-based learning media can serve as an innovative alternative to improve classroom learning quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of sociology teachers' teaching creativity on students' learning achievement at SMA PGRI Lewoleba. The research employed a quantitative, correlational approach. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The sample consisted of 30 students randomly selected from a population of 80. Data analysis was conducted using the product-moment correlation formula. The results showed a positive relationship between teachers' teaching creativity and students' learning achievement, with a correlation coefficient of 0.48, which is considered moderate. These findings indicate that higher teacher creativity in managing the learning process leads to better student achievement. Teacher creativity is reflected in the use of varied teaching methods, engaging learning media, and the ability to create a conducive learning environment. Therefore, enhancing teacher creativity is crucial to improving both the quality of learning and student outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of multicultural learning on students' social development at SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang. The research employed a quantitative, associative design. The population comprised 123 students, of whom 49 were selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression in SPSS. The results showed a significant effect of multicultural learning on students' social development, with a p-value < 0.001 and an R-squared of 0.547. This indicates that multicultural learning influences 54.7% of students' social development, while other factors account for the remaining 45.3%. Multicultural learning helps people become more empathetic, better at communicating, more cooperative, more tolerant, and more appreciative of cultural differences. Descriptively, students' social development is categorized as beneficial. Therefore, consistent implementation of multicultural learning is critical to creating inclusive and harmonious educational environments.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning engagement and outcomes by implementing the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model in Sociology for twelfth-grade students at SMA Negeri 7 Kupang. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles involving 30 students. The pre-cycle results indicated that students’ engagement was relatively moderate, with an average score of 62.33, and that learning outcomes were low, with an average score of 58; most students did not meet the minimum mastery criteria. After implementing the TGT model in Cycle I, students’ engagement increased to 75.16 (good category), and the average learning outcome rose to 77.13. In Cycle II, significant improvements were observed: engagement reached 91.33 (very good), and learning outcomes improved to an average score of 94.9, with 86.67% of students achieving mastery. These findings indicate that the TGT model effectively enhances student engagement and learning outcomes through academic games, teamwork, and healthy competition. Therefore, TGT can be considered an innovative instructional strategy to improve the quality of sociology learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a multicultural education approach to enhance students’ tolerance in senior high schools and identify the factors that support and inhibit its implementation. This research employs a qualitative approach involving the principal, teachers, and students as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The findings reveal that multicultural education has been implemented through sociology learning, extracurricular activities, and social interactions within the school environment. This implementation significantly improves students’ tolerance, reflected in mutual respect, cooperation, and acceptance of diversity. Supporting factors include inclusive teachers, supportive curricula, school policies, and a socially open environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited teacher training, insufficient learning media, and inadequate access to technology. This study concludes that multicultural education is an effective strategy for fostering students’ tolerance and character development.
