Abstract

Sport is a simple way to improve physical fitness. However, there are several problems with these activities, such as a busy schedule of activities, confusion when starting to exercise due to a lack of information, and queues for using places or tools that interfere with comfort. The UI/UX design of a sports application called FitenRun employs User-Centered Design (UCD). In the UCD stage, there are four key processes: understanding the user's context, specifying user requirements, designing solutions, and evaluating them against those requirements. The application testing stage uses the System Usability Scale (SUS) and Single Ease Question (SEQ) methods. The results of the application design were identified based on user needs through the distribution of questionnaires, with 57 respondents participating. The features produced in the FitenRun application, namely FitRent, are presented as the main feature, with additional supporting features such as FitEvent, FitTrainer, FitChallenge, FitModule, and FitClass. The results of the tests carried out yielded an average score of 85, obtained using six-user testing for SUS, and the average SEQ score was 6.2. Indicating that the system falls into the excellent category, which suggests that the system is suitable for users and shows that potential users can interact easily with the application.

Abstract

The increasing population growth in Jakarta has also led to a surge in demand for housing, including boarding houses. This surge in demand has become a challenge in managing applications and websites that provide information and services related to boarding houses, particularly in terms of managing user activity within the system. Therefore, researchers are trying to restructure the existing boarding house application using a microservice model. This research discusses the restructuring of the backend application from a monolithic to a microservice model, with a case study on Kos Jenggot. The development method employed in this research is Extreme Programming (XP), which incorporates testing methods, including black-box and performance testing. The results of this research show that using the microservice model is superior to the monolithic model; with black box testing results of 100%, the feature can run well through performance for the most significant scenario, namely an access load of 200 users in 100 seconds which has a total error of 100% for the monolithic model and 40 % for microservice models. These results indicate that the microservice model is more effective than the monolithic model for restructuring boarding applications.

Abstract

The rampant cyber attacks that have hit Indonesian cyberspace recently have resulted in data loss in several companies. The cyber attacks that occurred are hazardous to company data. In 2022, the company PT. Global Media Utama Teknologi experienced a ransomware cyber attack that resulted in data loss and caused losses to the company. This incident requires a solution to prevent data loss from occurring again due to cyber attacks or accidents in company operations. In this study, a data backup infrastructure design was implemented at PT. Global Media Utama Teknologi uses several technologies, such as Network Attached Storage (NAS) and backup applications from Acronis Cyber ​​Protect. This study was tested at the end using Black Box Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Backup Testing, and Restore Testing. The results of the study show that the backup infrastructure design at PT is Global Media Utama Teknologi has run according to user wishes.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged educational institutions to adopt more efficient systems in managing administrative processes, including the admission of new students. TKS Khalifah currently faces problems in the registration process which is still done manually, causing inefficiency and potential data errors. This study aims to design and build a new student registration website using the Laravel framework with the Waterfall method. This system is expected to help address existing problems by facilitating the digital management of prospective student data. The testing methods used include black box testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the functionality and quality of the system. The results of the study indicate that the developed system successfully meets user needs and increases the efficiency of the registration process at TKS Khalifah. Further development of additional features, further testing with other methods, and long-term evaluation are recommended for future research to ensure system sustainability and stability.

Abstract

This study explores the development of a psychology consultation application built on Flutter, incorporating ChatGPT API integration to address the need for easily accessible mental health services, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main issue addressed is the limited access to quick and efficient psychological support. The application provides features such as user registration, psychologist search, appointment scheduling, and an AI chatbot for immediate assistance. The Extreme Programming (XP) method was employed in the application development, utilising Flutter for building the interface and the ChatGPT API for chatbot integration. The development process included system design, implementation, and evaluation. The results indicate that the application is practical in providing easily accessible psychological consultation services. Black Box testing showed a success rate of 90%, while User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with 15 participants, showed a satisfaction rate of 88%. The questionnaire results indicated that all users agreed that the application facilitated access to psychological consultation services, with positive feedback on the ease of use and effectiveness of the features. For future development, the focus should be on enhancing the application's functionality to improve the overall user experience and meet the standards of an effective and efficient application.

Abstract

Gardening is now a popular hobby and healthy lifestyle trend in Indonesia. However, traditional gardening methods often require a lot of time, effort, and large areas of land, thus deterring many people from growing crops. This research aims to design and develop an efficient and easy-to-use automatic watering system for home gardens by utilizing IoT technology. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) to produce and test the effectiveness of the product. The system is built using ESP8266, a DHT11 sensor to measure air temperature and humidity, and a soil moisture sensor to measure soil moisture. The system has two modes of operation: automatic and manual. In manual mode, users can control the pump through the Blynk app. The test results show that the developed Smart Garden system can control and measure soil moisture levels through the Blynk platform with a success rate of 100%. In addition, it is recommended for further research to add a manual system on the device to overcome the problem if the WIFI connection is lost.

Abstract

Technological advancements have transformed household electricity usage, increasing dependence on electronic devices and demanding efficient solutions to monitor energy consumption. Law Number 30 of 2009 encourages energy efficiency. This research aims to develop and test a household electricity consumption monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using ACS712 current sensors and the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller. This study designs and implements a household electricity consumption monitoring system using ACS712 sensors, employing research and development (R&D) methods. The results show that the system successfully implements ACS712 sensors with high accuracy, enabling efficient monitoring through the Pemantauan.com monitoring platform. Real-time data provides detailed daily energy consumption patterns, optimising energy use by reducing waste. Testing results indicate that this system achieves a 100% success rate in measuring electrical loads and transmitting data, demonstrating high accuracy and reliability in monitoring electricity consumption. To further enhance the system's effectiveness, it is recommended that it be integrated with an alarm or notification system that provides real-time alerts to users in the event of anomalies or unusual increases in electricity consumption. This will help users to take immediate actions necessary to save energy and avoid unwanted electricity costs.

Abstract

Extra-curricular activities are additional activities facilitated by the school to develop the interest and the talents of the pupils. In these activities, teachers are entitled to special incentives for teaching outside regular working hours. Therefore, there is a need for a presence system that makes it easy for the entire user to make presence. Zoho Forms and Zoho Sheets were chosen as platforms to implement this presence. In order for the system to be used optimally, observations must be made of all the parties who will use the system by conducting interview. After obtaining the needs of the user, the system is designed and implemented using Zoho Forms that are integrated with Zoho Sheets for ease to facilitate incentive calculation. Thes system was tested using the black box testing methods carried out by the author by determining the test scenario with the results showing that five of the seven scenarios, or about 71% of the features, were specified according to the needs. As for the open beta testing conducted by the user, using online questionnaires as a data collection method. The test result were processed using a Guttman scale that resulted in 91% user extracurricular teachers, 100% user responsible extracurricular, and 100% user deputy head of school field of appretianceship agreed that the system created was already in line with the needs of the user. This research is expected to make it easier for all parties to use the presence system.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how marketing strategies on Instagram influence user interaction and brand awareness for Warung Kopi Santuy. The research used qualitative methods, collecting data through direct surveys of randomly selected Instagram followers. The analysis showed that active and targeted marketing on Instagram, such as posts, content types, and direct user interactions, significantly increased user interaction and brand awareness for Warung Kopi Santuy. These findings underscore the importance of effectively using social media to strengthen customer relationships and enhance brand awareness among consumers.

Abstract

With the advancement of technology and information in the current digital era, public awareness of the importance of a healthy diet continues to increase. To meet this need, the author uses Figma design tools to create a healthy food ordering mobile application solution that follows the latest trends. The design sprint method is applied as a rapid approach to problem-solving and as a guide in the interface design process of the application. This research involves interviews and surveys to understand user needs. Usability testing was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS), which yielded a score of 73, indicating that the application prototype is feasible based on objective assessments. The conclusion of this Final Project is that the application prototype was designed using the design sprint method, encompassing five stages, and effectively designing seventeen application screens.
