Abstract

This technical guidance (bimtek) activity was held with the primary objective of improving the digital capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) members of the Papua Gallery in Sorong City. The approach used was quite unique because it combined information technology, specifically the e-commerce platform Odoo, with a sociological perspective of religion. This approach places the values of faith, community ethics, and local culture as the main foundation in the digital transformation process being carried out. This activity was carried out by a team of lecturers from Victory University Sorong from the Information Systems and Sociology of Religion Study Program, and involved students as part of community service. The implementation process included several stages: an assessment of MSMEs' digital needs, technical training on using Odoo, direct assistance in implementing the dare store, evaluation of results, and ongoing follow-up. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in digital literacy among MSMEs, success in creating and managing online stores independently, and a growing awareness that business digitization is not only an economic necessity, but also part of spiritual and social responsibility. In addition, this activity also helped strengthen the branding and presence of local Papuan culture through digital media. This faith- and cultural-based training model has proven effective and relevant for replication in other MSME communities in different regions, especially those with strong local cultural and religious potential.

Abstract

Stunting remains a chronic nutritional issue and a significant public health challenge in Indonesia, particularly in rural areas such as Jurang Village, Temanggung Regency. One of the key contributing factors to the high prevalence of stunting is the low level of maternal knowledge regarding balanced nutrition and the appropriate practice of providing supplementary feeding (Pemberian Makanan Tambahan or PMT) for children under five. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of PMT menu leaflet media as a tool to increase mothers’ knowledge and awareness regarding stunting prevention. The research was conducted through a series of community-based surveys during Posyandu (integrated health post) activities across several neighborhood units (Rukun Warga or RW). These surveys identified cases of stunting and assessed the educational needs of mothers with young children. Based on the findings, a culturally and contextually adapted leaflet was developed, containing essential information about stunting, its early signs, the importance of PMT, and practical, nutritious recipes made from locally available ingredients. To expand accessibility, the leaflet also included a QR code linked to a digital e-book featuring 54 variations of PMT menus. The educational materials were distributed through door-to-door visits, accompanied by the direct provision of supplementary food, enabling immediate practice of the knowledge shared. Post-intervention results showed a significant improvement in maternal understanding of stunting and nutrition, as well as positive feedback regarding the clarity, relevance, and usefulness of the leaflet. The culturally tailored approach and integration of digital resources further enhanced engagement and knowledge retention. In conclusion, the PMT leaflet proved to be an effective, practical, low-cost, and replicable educational intervention to support community-based stunting prevention efforts in Jurang Village. This approach offers a promising model for similar rural areas facing high stunting rates across Indonesia.

Abstract

Integrated Health Service Posts (Posyandu) are a means for active community participation in the health sector. Through Posyandu, the role of cadres as the spearhead of environmental health is crucial, especially in educating the community regarding prevention efforts and early detection of various infectious diseases such as tuberculosis (TB). Bekasi City is experiencing an increase in TB cases, so it is necessary to strengthen the capacity of Posyandu cadres to be more responsive and empowered in dealing with this situation. This community service program aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in early detection and prevention of TB. The activity was carried out at Posyandu Bangau, West Bekasi, involving 22 active cadres. The implementation method used a participatory and interactive approach, through health education that emphasized the identification of TB symptoms, transmission methods, and community-based prevention strategies. Evaluations were conducted before and after the education to measure the effectiveness of the activity. The evaluation results showed an 80% increase in cadre knowledge after attending the education. This achievement demonstrates that the delivery of accurate and communicative information is very effective in increasing Posyandu cadre awareness. Capacity building for cadres is not only crucial as an initial step in TB prevention, but also as a sustainable effort to build collective community awareness. With the active involvement of cadres and support from health workers, TB risk detection and prevention can be carried out more optimally and comprehensively.

Abstract

Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) is a condition characterized by muscle or fascia pain, involving sensory, motor, or autonomic functions, linked to myofascial trigger points (MTrPs). Motor symptoms can include muscle weakness, limited movement, and stiffness. Sensory symptoms may involve tenderness, referred pain, hyperalgesia, or allodynia, while autonomic symptoms include sweating, changes in skin temperature, and salivation. MPS occurs due to increased sympathetic nervous system activity, which worsens pain. Physical therapy is vital in improving movement and function, with Active Exercise Therapy being a recommended treatment. MPS affects 36% of 431 patients, with pain intensity often developing within a week, and in Indonesia, it reaches 40% within a year. MPS is more common in females than males. Active Exercise Therapy, which can be performed at home or work, is essential for preventing MPS. On July 31, 2025, a community service activity was held at RT VIII Tanjung Mas Village, Semarang Utara, with 29 participants. The event included blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, BMI measurements, and counseling on the importance of exercise therapy to prevent muscle fatigue, particularly in the neck area. The therapy, focusing on improving tendon and ligament strength and muscle strength, helps maintain joint stability and increase the range of motion. Strength training includes isotonic exercises and progressive resistance training, tailored to each individual's needs. The event provided education on managing muscle pain and fatigue through targeted exercise routines and home programs. These initiatives emphasize muscle recovery, physical health, and overall wellness, ensuring participants can manage and prevent MPS effectively. The event highlighted the critical role of regular physical activity in improving quality of life and preventing long-term musculoskeletal pain.

Abstract

Digital literacy is a crucial competency for teachers. Accelerating digital literacy for elementary school teachers is not only about mastering digital tools and applications, but also about changing mindsets and approaches to teaching. There are three impacts for teachers and students if teachers are unable to master digital competencies: 1) teachers are less able to keep up with the latest technological developments; 2) teachers are unable to filter and process the latest information, resulting in a tendency towards misinformation; 3) students are less able to absorb the latest information and thus misuse the wrong sources of information. Given these impacts, training and mentoring are needed for elementary school teachers in Songgom District to acquire the right digital skills so that elementary school teachers can maximize their potential. Elementary school teachers in Brebes Regency still do not have good digital competencies. If left unchecked, more and more teachers will lack digital competency. This can lead to a lack of technology-related information that students can use to support their learning. Furthermore, inadequate technology skills can hinder differentiated learning within the independent curriculum. The Community Service Program, initiated by professors and lecturers with expertise in digital literacy and language, is highly relevant to the needs of teachers in Brebes Regency. Elementary school teachers are developing digital competencies by implementing interactive quiz-based learning and Canva-based learning media. These competencies can be applied by teachers in the classroom. Students are expected to absorb the material more meaningfully. Learning through the application of digital literacy by teachers will increase student interest and engagement in learning the material.

Abstract

Effective waste management is a crucial challenge in maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainability, especially in rural areas. This study aims to analyze the development of waste banks as a sustainable waste management solution in Jl Sosro GG 1001 Village. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through field observations, in-depth interviews with residents and waste bank managers, and documentation of activities. The results of the study show that the existence of waste banks is able to increase public awareness in sorting and managing household waste. In addition, the social and economic impacts caused are quite significant, such as the formation of work groups, increased additional income, and strengthening the value of mutual cooperation. However, there are a number of challenges that hinder program optimization, including limited operational facilities, lack of continuity of community participation, and lack of technical support from local governments. To overcome this, a capacity building strategy is needed through continuous training, provision of supporting facilities, and cross-sector collaboration. The waste bank in Jl Sosro GG 1001 Village has great potential to be used as a model of sustainable community-based waste management, if supported by a joint commitment between residents, the government, and other stakeholders.

Abstract

This study examines postpartum nursing care for mothers undergoing Sectio Caesarea (SC) with the primary nursing diagnosis of ineffective breastfeeding. The purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness of oxytocin massage intervention in improving breastfeeding outcomes in post-SC mothers. The study was conducted in Mawar Ward, RSUD dr. H. Soewondo Kendal, involving four patients experiencing delayed lactation, difficulty in baby latching, and psychological challenges such as anxiety and lack of confidence. The intervention was based on the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI), focusing on observation, therapeutic actions, education, and collaboration with healthcare teams and family members. Oxytocin massage was performed 2–3 times daily, complemented by warm compresses, breastfeeding position training, and emotional support. The results indicated significant improvements: increased breast milk production, better baby latching, reduced maternal anxiety, and higher self-confidence in breastfeeding. This evidence-based approach highlights that comprehensive postpartum nursing care—integrating physical, psychological, and family support—plays a crucial role in ensuring breastfeeding success and overall maternal recovery after SC.

Abstract

Postpartum anxiety is a psychological problem that often occurs after childbirth and can have a direct impact on decreased breast milk production. Non-pharmacological efforts that can help overcome this are Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy and Endorphin, Oxytocin, and Suggestive Massage Stimulation (SPEOS). This community service activity aims to improve comfort, calmness, and increase breast milk production through the application of a combination of SEFT and SPEOS therapy to postpartum mothers in the Sambau Community Health Center, Batam City. The activity method is carried out through education, demonstrations, and direct practice with postpartum mothers given to 48 postpartum mothers. The results of the activity showed an increase in mothers' knowledge about SEFT and SPEOS relaxation techniques, about managing anxiety, and how to increase breast milk production as obtained from the results of qualitative evaluations through interviews and group discussions. This activity received a positive response from participants and local health workers, and is recommended for routine implementation in community midwifery services.
