Abstract

Kemingking Luar Village Taman Rajo District Muaro Jambi Regency is a village that has an area of 820,0000 hectares (hectares) and has a population of ± 483 people. The border of the village of Kemingking Luar is bordered by the village of Muaro Jambi. Problems in the village of Kemingking Luar namely rheumatism and hypertension, based on field surveys for hypertension and rheumatism in the Village of Kemingking Luar are still very bad because of the work of the majority of farmers. In addition, the survey results also show that family medicinal plants (TOGA) in Kemingking Luar Village have almost 70% already existed, only the use of TOGA is still lacking because people do not know the benefits and processing of TOGA. for self-medication and to be used as a product of economic value for the people of Kemingking Luar Village, and other problems that occur in Kemingking Luar Village, such as smoking habits, and the lack of community activities to lead a healthy life. Based on this data, students from the Real Work Lecture at Kemingking Luar Village provide counseling and skills to the community of Kemingking Luar Village such as Rheumatism, Gout, Blood Sugar, DAGUSIBU, and Blood Pressure counseling, correct treatment methods, and how to manage TOGA into a TOGA form. valuable and beneficial products for the surrounding community, and utilize TOGA.

Abstract

PHBS at school is a set of behaviors practiced by students, teachers and the school community on the basis of awareness as a learning outcome, so that they are able to independently prevent disease, improve their health, and play an active role in creating a healthy environment.  The targets and outputs of this service are scientific publications in ISSN journals, publications on social media and the application of PHBS in schools. The method of implementing these activities is to use lecture, discussion and question and answer methods.  The implementation of this service was carried out at SDS Islam Al Manshur Banjarbaru with 70 students and 2 homeroom teachers.  The stages of this activity are carried out through 3 stages namely the first stage of preparation, the second stage of implementation and the third stage of evaluation.  The conclusion obtained after counseling 90% of students understand about Clean & Healthy Behavior.

Abstract

Breast cancer is a condition in which cells develop abnormally so that they form a mass of malignant tissue entering the surrounding tissue and can spread throughout the body. Of the 10 types of cancer in the world, breast cancer is the second largest with 12.90% of deaths after lung cancer. While the prevalence of cancer in Indonesia, Jambi Province ranks 13th out of 34 provinces in Indonesia with 1287 patients in 2017 (Jambi Provincial Health Office Data, 2017). Kelurahan Murni one of Kelurahan in Danau Sipin Subdistrict, where there are still many communities in the region who do not understand breast self-examination as a detection of breast cancer. Based on field observations, it was found that the Posbindu group was not optimal in organizing educational activities for the community due to the lack of knowledge of theKader well as the optimal health center program that supervises them. The targets of this community service activity are Kader Posbindu  and group in the Kelurahan Murni. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of kader and group Kelurahan Murni socialization BSE as an early detection of Breast Cancer in the form of education, socialization and demonstration of Breast Self-Examination (BSE), with the hope that kader  and group are able to understand and be motivated to do BSE every month so as to prevent early prevention. the incidence of breast cancer and 100% increased knowledge of the participants.

Abstract

Advances in technology and the increasing desire of the community to use traditional medicines, traditional medicines are no longer used as ingredients for family consumption, but have become merchandise. Advertising is a way for corporate producers to promote their products, especially traditional medicines. The POM RI released 76% of advertisements for traditional medicines that did not comply with The Regulation. In order to protect the public against the possibility of distributing drugs and traditional medicines that do not meet the requirements due to false advertising and information, it is necessary to educate the public to increase public knowledge and understanding of traditional medicines and medicines. Penyengat Olak village, Muara Jambi district is one of the partners of the Ministry of Health's Jambi Poltekes whose community has never been educated on traditional medicinal advertisements. The implementation method used is survey, observation, interview, discussion, question and answer, and evaluation. This community service activity was attended by 20 people. The result of this activity is an increase in public knowledge and understanding of the correct traditional medicinal advertisements so that people can be more careful and careful in choosing traditional medicinal products, and do not easily believe in incorrect advertisements, and the use of family medicinal plants in the environment around the house. , all participants attended health education from start to finish and most of them actively participated during the activity. It is recommended that the community is always communicative with local health workers to understand the treatment being carried out, and to increase the role of health workers in collaboration with district health offices to provide information, especially related to traditional medicinal advertisements

Abstract

Breast Self-Examination (BSE) is an important step for early detection of breast cancer and should begin when a woman has menstruated, with a sensitivity / ability to detect around 20-30% (Nisman, 2011). The latest data on 31 January 2019, the breast cancer rate was 42.1 / 100,000 population with an average death rate of 17 / 100,000 population. Cases of breast cancer today are also commonly found at a young age, ranging from 15 years, 17, 19 years. This means that there has been a shift at a young age, possibly due to lifestyle, pollution, stress (Ministry of Health, 2019). BPMUB is an organization where students from various faculties and forums gather to conduct community activities, with a total of 55 members, and is a representative of 9 faculties in Uniska Banjarbaru, 45% of whom are women. Based on a questionnaire distributed to 25 BPMUB female members, 16 people knowledge of breast cancer were in the poor category, only 9 people were knowledgeable enough. In addition, awareness to do breast self-examination is still low, this is again due to lack of knowledge. The solution provided is awareness education for early detection of breast cancer, with a target audience of 50 people. The method used is lecture, demonstration and question and answer. The outputs of this service are publications in the Abdimas Health Journal, Baiturahim Jambi Stikes, publications on social media namely facebook and instagram as well as providing improved health values. Counseling was carried out on 17 December 2019 and evaluated on 6 January 2020, and the result of this activity was the real support from the Head of UPT UNISKA Banjarbaru and other faculty managers, enthusiasm from the target with attention and many questions both in activities and outside activities. Evaluation 2 weeks after socialization found 100% answered all questionnaires about BSE correctly. This means an increase in knowledge of the respondents. Socialization by providing these skills needs to be carried out continuously.

Abstract

The adolescence was a transition period from childhood to adulthood, which has many challenges from themselves or the environment, especially during the adaptation to a new life (New Normal). The Central Bureau of Statistics (2018) released the number of teenagers in Jambi province as 17.9% of the total population. If adolescents do not have the ability to face these challenges, it can have an impact on their personal health. The purpose of this activity is to increase adolescent knowledge regarding the adaptation of a new life. The activities carried out were in the form of health education using social media and power point slides. The result of this activity was an increase in adolescent knowledge about new life adaptations seen from the difference between the pre-test and post-test mean of 35.3%. In conclusion, health education for adolescents is effective in increasing the knowledge and abilities of adolescents, especially regarding new life adaptations, therefore it is hoped that health workers will regularly provide health education and mentoring to adolescents, directly by following health protocols or using various social media

Abstract

The first 1000 days of life (HPK) movement is a movement to accelerate nutritional improvement. In this period the child's brain develops rapidly, although the human brain will continue to develop and can experience changes throughout life, but at this time the fastest development. The Indonesian government has committed and worked hard to accelerate the improvement of nutrition for the lives of children of the nation's next generation. The government's commitment has been stated through government regulation No. 42 of 2013 concerning the national movement to improve nutrition. Community service aims to increase the knowledge and understanding of pregnant women and mothers of children under the age of 1,000 HPK nutrition as a critical period that must be considered. Counseling method using the first 1000 days of the booklet of life published by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Community service is followed by pregnant women and mothers who have toddlers in the class of pregnant women and toddlers, held in November-December 2019 at BPM Rosmala Aini. The result of this community service is an increase in maternal understanding of the importance of nutrition from pregnancy to 2-year-old children, and it is hoped that the coverage of mothers giving breastfeeding in the first hour and exclusive breastfeeding increases

Abstract

ISPA is a disease that often occurs with the arrival of the dry season and increasing forest and land fires. Various attempts were made to control ISPA, one of which was handling respiratory problems due to smog. In PuskesmasAlalak Tengah, ISPA is the first of 10 diseases in the last 2 years. In addition, some people still consider trivial diseases of ISPA and are not accustomed to wearing masks when doing activities and activities. Therefore, community service needs to be held to increase community awareness of ISPA. The aim of the activity is to increase public health knowledge and behavior towards the danger of ISPA. The target activity is the people in Alalak Tengah Village through counseling using leaflet and poster media. After being educated through counseling and evaluating the participants, an increase in public health behavior towards the danger of ISPA it appears from the motivation and enthusiasm of the participants to use masks, so that they are more aware of the risk of ISPA transmission

Abstract

Adolescent nutrition and health issues need to be considered because adolescents are the next generation that determines the quality of human resources. Likewise, adolescents who are living in marginal conditions such as the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) need to receive special attention due to the lack of access to information and nutrition education in these groups. Therefore, the purpose of this service is to educate adolescent nutrition and health in the indigenous community of Suku Anak Dalam (SAD). This activity was carried out in June - August 2020, in Pematang Kabau Village, Sarolangun Regency. The target is 10 SAD adolescents. This activity consists of providing education with power point media, leaflets, posters, and videos, as well as demonstrations using food models. The outputs of the community service activities are: (1) Media leaflets and health nutrition posters and; (2) Application of balanced nutrition in adolescents. The results showed that  a better change to aspects of nutritional knowledge where most targets can recognize and mention foods that are good for health, and can exemplify simple ways of monitoring nutritional status such as weighing, height, and measurement of Upper Arm Circumference. Based on this activity it is necessary to collaborate efforts from village officials, nutrition cadres and health workers to carry out routine nutrition and health monitoring on SAD adolescents so as to improve the health status of the SAD community.

Abstract

A healthy lifestyle is an effort that someone does consistently to stay in a healthy and optimal condition. Healthy lifestyle is done by paying attention to the nutritional needs in the body, exercise, rest and positive thinking. Healthy lifestyle is not uncommon as an effort that is not easy so it is difficult to implement, even though it will be even more difficult if we have become sick because they do not run a healthy lifestyle. The Orphanage Orphanage and Dhuafa Foundation Al ‘Ashr Banjarmasin is one of the orphanages in the city of Banjarmasin. Imbalance between food consumed with needs is the cause of malnutrition problems and over nutrition problems, so that children in this orphanage also have the risk of under nutrition problems and more due to lack of knowledge about a healthy diet. Therefore This community service activity will be held for children and adolescents of the Orphanage Orphanage and Dhuafa Foundation Al 'Ashr Banjarmasin in order to prevent nutritional problems due to inappropriate dietary patterns. The purpose of the activity is to provide knowledge for children and young people of the Orphanage Orphanage and Dhuafa Foundation Al ‘Ashr Banjarmasin on a healthy diet for the body's needs to create a healthy young generation. The main targets or specific targets of this activity are children and young people of the Orphanage Orphanage and Dhuafa Foundation Al ‘Ashr Banjarmasin which is located at Jalan Tembus Perumnas Rt 45 No. 127 Banjarmasin City. The method used in this activity is through video screenings, lectures, and discussions and questions and answers. The counseling activity was carried out on December 8, 2019, attended by 18 orphans. Activities take place smoothly and in an orderly manner.
