Abstract

Pulmonary Tuberculosis is a direct infectious disease caused by the tuberculosis germ (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) which is transmitted through the air (droplet nuclei) when a patient coughs and splashes of saliva containing the bacteria are inhaled by another person while breathing. The risk factors for the incidence of pulmonary TB are, occupancy density, lack of ventilation, poor lighting, access to inadequate facilities. The problems that exist in partners are the lack of counseling activities, especially related to health education on the prevention of pulmonary TB, the condition of densely populated prisons, inadequate ventilation and inadequate lighting are risk factors for the development of pulmonary TB. The first step is to collect pre-test data before being given health information on TB prevention. Furthermore, health education was given about prevention of pulmonary TB to the inmates. At the evaluation stage, post-test data were collected. Based on the results of community service activities with the target of assisted residents in the Pontianak class II women's correctional prison, it went well. Participants can participate in activities from start to finish with enthusiasm. Abstract

Indonesia is included in the group of countries with a high prevalence of stunting (30-39%) where this prevalence increased from 36.8% in 2007 to 37.2% in 2013. According to UNICEF, the indirect factor causing stunting is parenting (ASI-Exclusive and ASI Complementary Foods/ MP-ASI) are not good. Several studies have suggested that nutritional problems in infants and children are caused by inappropriate breastfeeding and MP-ASI habits. Supplementary feeding for ASI 6-12 months of age is often a problem for families, generally families choose fast food, while self-cooking takes longer, this also occurs in the people of the Kotabaru sub-district area so education needs to be done to mothers who have babies less than 6 months old so they can prepare the right MP-ASI for their children later.

Abstract

Anemia is well known as micronutrient deficiency, called hidden hunger. West Java has a high prevalence of anemia. The nutrition education program about anemia has been conducted, but the increment was not satisfactory. 10 of 15 female students in Bojong Gede State Vocational School showed a symptom of anemia. Our activity aims to evaluate the effect of a nutrition education program on anemia and reproduction health’ knowledge. This community program was conducted online using power point, video, and games media on 30 students of Bojong Gede State Vocational School, Bogor. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the activity was analyzed using pre and post-tests regarding the knowledge of young women regarding anemia. Statistical analysis used is the Mann-Whitney test. Students' knowledge scores about anemia on the first day increased from 63.21±15.17 to 71.43±13.08 (p = 0.001), and on the second day from 57.14 ± 13.26 to 82.86±17.29 (p = 0.000). More specific topics about healthy food are more attractive to teenagers than more general and contextual topics. Therefore, the practical and applicable knowledge is considered suitable for increasing students' knowledge, especially if it is simultaneously conducted

Abstract

The main complaint felt by patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is pain that is very disturbing, affecting daily activities and quality of life. RA pain felt by the elderly has an impact, including making sufferers feel uncomfortable, often afraid to move for fear of severity so that it reduces productivity, disrupts body balance so that it is at risk for falling, becomes dependent on others and causes stress to sufferers. Abstract

The health of adolescent girls greatly determines the success of health development, especially in efforts to produce the quality of the nation's future generation in the future because adolescent girls are prospective mothers who will become pregnant and give birth to a baby. The prevalence of anemia in the world ranges from 40-88% and the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls in developing countries is around 53.7%. Basic Health Research Data (Riskesdas) in 2018 shows that the prevalence of anemia in Indonesia in women is 27.2% and in men it is 20.3%. Anemia is more common in young women, namely 32.0% in the 15-24 year age group. The problem encountered is that information about Fe  tablets is still limited, while the iron requirements of adolescent girls are higher than those of adolescent boys, because it is needed to replace iron lost during menstruation and prevent anemia in future mothers-to-be. The aim of this community service is to increase the knowledge of young women about using Fe  tablets and carrying out Hb checks at Dayah Terpadu Al-Madinatuddiniyah Syamsuddhuha, Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency. The method for implementing community service activities lasts 3 days, namely the first day begins with a pre-test followed by providing material on the use of Fe  tablets, on the second day an Hb examination is carried out and on the third day there is a distribution of Fe  tablets and a post-test. The results obtained were an increase in knowledge in the pre-test evaluation, good knowledge from 60% to 90% in the post-test evaluation, and the majority of Hb examination results were not anemia, namely 93%. It is hoped that young women will continue to increase information about the use of Fe  tablets and be obedient in consuming Fe  tablets and carrying out regular Hb checks.
