Abstract

Modern economics today not only focuses on the financial performance of companies but also on their responsibility towards the surrounding social environment. This condition has led to an increasing demand for transparency regarding the environmental impact of corporate activities. This study aims to analyze the effect of environmental performance, industry type, green innovation, company size, and foreign ownership on environmental disclosure in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2021-2023. This research uses a quantitative method and multiple linear regression analysis. The study found that environmental performance, industry type, and green innovation do not have a significant effect on environmental disclosure, while company size has a significant impact. Foreign ownership also does not influence Environmental Disclosure. This research contributes to the understanding of the factors affecting corporate environmental transparency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of social media use on the intention to purchase eco-friendly products, particularly electric bicycles, through the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as the research framework. The factors analyzed encompass attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control as mediators in the impact of social media on purchase intention. This study utilizes a quantitative methodology with an explanatory framework, collecting data via a survey of university students in the Soloraya region who are knowledgeable about electric bicycles. The study's findings demonstrate that social media significantly influences attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective standards, subsequently impacting the intention to purchase environmentally friendly products. The analysis indicates that attitude and perceived behavioral control can mediate the influence of social media on purchase intention, although subjective norms do not exert a significant effect. These findings underscore the significant influence of social media in augmenting the intention to acquire ecologically sustainable products, notably electric bicycles, among university students.

Abstract

This study investigates how inflation shocks, benchmark interest rates, stock transactions, and constant price GDP affect the Indonesian Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) from 2013 to 2023. The results show that inflation has a permanent negative effect on the IHSG, while constant price GDP increases have a positive effect. Inflation affects GDP in the long run, with a decline after the fourth period, while shocks to stock transactions have a smaller impact on changes in the benchmark interest rate. On the other hand, the impact of the benchmark interest rate fluctuates, with short-term effects on the JCI. To maintain stock market stability and Indonesia's economic growth, this research emphasizes the importance of monetary policy that is responsive to economic shocks. These results provide policymakers and investors with insights to respond to market dynamics.

Abstract

This study entitled “The Relationship between the Characteristics of Indonesian Millennial Tourists and the Selection of Tour Packages at Tugu Wisata Tour Travel Yogyakarta”, aims to examine the relationship between the characteristics of millennial tourists and the selection of tour packages. This quantitative research investigates two variables: millennial traveler characteristics (X) and tour package selection (Y), using a sample of 80 respondents and data collected through questionnaires. Data analysis used simple linear regression using SPSS 25 and Pearson correlation test for hypothesis testing. The findings show a significant relationship, with a Pearson correlation coefficient (r) of 0.601, exceeding the critical value (tTable) of 0.220, leading to the rejection of Ho and acceptance of Ha. Future research could explore different variables or alternative case studies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the effect of changes in gold prices, interest rates and exchange rates on IHSG stock returns. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research, testing theories through measuring research variables with numbers and analyzing data with statistics. The object of research can be an object, thing, or person that can provide data or information needed for research. The objects in this study are data on changes in gold prices, interest rates and exchange rates and the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) in 2021-2024. The results of this study found that changes in gold prices, interest rates, and exchange rates all have a significant effect on IHSG stock returns (Composite Stock Price Index). These three factors often interact and influence each other, both directly and indirectly, in determining the performance of the stock market in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of human resource competence, accounting knowledge, education level, work motivation, and work experience on the preparation of financial reports in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tambakromo District, Pati Regency. Research data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 101 respondents who were MSME actors in the area. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression methods to test the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. The results of the study showed that human resource competence had a significant negative effect on the preparation of financial reports, while accounting knowledge, work motivation, and work experience had a significant positive effect. On the other hand, education level did not show a significant effect on the preparation of financial reports.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the board of commissioners, audit committee and board of directors on the financial performance of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia in 2019-2023. This type of research is quantitative research. By taking data from the financial reports and annual reports of each Islamic commercial bank for 2019-2023. The sampling method used purposive sampling with a total of 54 from 2019-2023. This research uses multiple regression analysis. The results of this research show that the audit committee has an influence on financial performance. Meanwhile, the board of commissioners and board of directors have no effect on financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, independent board of commissioners, and audit committee on firm value in the manufacturing sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2019-2023. The method used is quantitative with an associative approach and multiple linear regression analysis. The research population consists of manufacturing companies listed during the period, with a sample selected using purposive sampling. The results show that managerial ownership does not affect firm value, while institutional ownership has a significant influence. The independent board of commissioners and audit committee did not show significant effects on firm value. This study has limitations in terms of the sample being limited to the manufacturing sector and only analyzing the aspect of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) without considering other factors that could influence firm value. Recommendations for future research include expanding the sample, considering additional variables, and using more complex econometric approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand ambassador, product quality, and local brand pride on the purchase decision of Emina Cosmetics in Surakarta, with purchase intention as a mediating variable. The research employs a quantitative method using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire survey from 150 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The results indicate that brand ambassador and local brand pride do not significantly affect purchase intention or purchase decision. Conversely, product quality has a significant positive influence on both variables. Additionally, purchase intention does not mediate the relationship between independent variables and purchase decision. These findings provide insights for companies to optimize marketing strategies. Future research is suggested to add other influential variables and expand the respondent coverage.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the fundraising strategies for Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) at the zakat institution of the oldest private Islamic university in Yogyakarta. The research seeks to identify the effectiveness of fundraising methods employed and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in the fund management of the zakat institution, specifically at Lazis LAZISMU UMY. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique involves data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the institution employs direct fundraising methods, including, face-to-face meetings, salary deductions, donation boxes, digital fundraising, fundraising during events, and door-to-door donation collection. Additionally, indirect fundraising is conducted through; education and awareness programs, strategic partnerships, volunteer activities, sustainable programs, and reward programs. The effectiveness of fundraising through face-to-face interactions and digital platforms is primarily influenced by personal engagement with donors and educational awareness. Supporting factors include the involvement of the academic community, volunteers, and institutional collaborations. In contrast, challenges include competition among zakat institutions, limitations in amil certification and human resources, suboptimal operational management, and insufficient education and facilities. The fundraising strategies play a crucial role in ZIS fund management, contributing positively to fund growth and community benefits. However, the main challenge faced is the inability to fully achieve the targeted fundraising goals.
