Abstract

Substances and their characteristics are learning materials that are more active in trying and experimenting, while there is a tendency for students to enjoy adventure conquering opponents in the game, which can be seen from resting activities. They often play mobile legends, or free fire. This tendency has an impact on the lack of focus of students in learning which has an effect on student learning outcomes that are not as expected. Evaluation results for 3 classes, 50% less than the passing grade. The GI (Investigation Group) model in substance and its characteristics, chosen as a fun learning model, can become a place for students' aspirations in channeling their hobby of playing gadged. GI cooperative learning model is a learning method in which students learn in groups, study groups are formed based on the topic chosen by the student. So students as the center of learning, spare the teacher more as facilitators. With reference to Kemmis and Taggard which consists of the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages, while the instruments used are lesson plans, teacher and student observation sheets, questionnaire sheets and quiz sheets. The results of data processing and discussion of the application of the Group Investigation method in cycle I and cycle II show that individual student learning outcomes have increased as seen from the formative test scores with the number of students who score above the passing grade. Although the graph of the increase in student learning outcomes in cycle 1 and cycle 2 is not too hight, by looking at the graph of the level of motivation, it can still be concluded that the GI model can be an alternative that can be chosen for fun learning material that does a lot of experimental activities in the learning process

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of reading aloud and scanning strategies on students' reading comprehension skills in Indonesian language learning in grade III. The sample consisted of fifteen students, consisting of ten males and five females, using a quasi-experimental method. The results showed that the implementation of the strategy improved reading comprehension skills. The post-test scores increased compared to the pre-test scores, indicating that the reading aloud and scanning techniques were effective. It is proven that this approach helps students find specific information and understand the text as a whole. To improve students' literacy skills, this study suggests the use of this approach in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the learning motivation of fifth grade students in the Pancasila Education subject through the implementation of the PAKEM (Active, Creative, Effective and Fun Learning) learning strategy at SDN Tanjung Jati 2. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, with data collection through observations and interviews. The research results show that the gradual implementation of the PAKEM strategy is able to increase the motivation of students who were initially passive to become more active and involved in the learning process. Teachers also experience increased creativity in teaching. With the PAKEM approach, the classroom atmosphere becomes more enjoyable, and students are more motivated in participating in Pancasila education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to find problems in UPTD SDN Tanjung Jati II. One of the problems found is that not all students master reading and writing activities so it is important to conduct research to review the problem. This method uses qualitative research. Data collection used in this study is observation, tests, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the Milles and Huberman model with stages, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. UPTD SDN Tanjung Jati 2 consists of 12 students in class II. Of the 12 students, there are 4 students who are limited when reading and writing. Students who can read and write accurately will find it easy to follow the learning, while students who are lacking will find it difficult to follow the learning. This often results in them being left behind when following the learning.

Abstract

Research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and documentation. The research results show that class agreement is significantly important in forming students' discipline in learning. Agreements made together between teachers and students encourage active participation by students so that they feel responsible for the rules that have been set. The application of positive discipline through class agreements has a positive impact on changes in student behavior, especially in terms of time discipline, responsibility, and mutual respect. However, there are challenges in applying it to students with hyperactive characteristics, which require a more flexible and consistent approach. Therefore, this research was conducted to implement positive discipline through class agreements in improving student discipline and creating a conducive learning atmosphere.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the factors causing the lack of interest in studying in class IV students at UPTD SDN Tanjung Jati 2. Interest in learning is an important aspect in education that influences how students participate and achieve maximum learning outcomes. Based on the results of interviews with the homeroom teacher, it was found that the obstacles to students' interest in learning were influenced by external and internal factors. External factors include a less supportive home environment, such as lack of discipline and parental involvement. Meanwhile, internal factors include students' motivation, self-confidence and personal interests. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews. The results of this research show that to increase interest in learning, teachers need to remind students about class agreements, apply appropriate learning strategies, and create an atmosphere that supports the development of student motivation and self-confidence.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the learning difficulties experienced by class II students at SDN Tanjung Jati 2 in addition and subtraction material. This research focuses on identifying various factors that influence learning difficulties, including cognitive aspects, environment, teaching methods, and emotional factors. The approach used is qualitative, through observation, interviews with teachers, and analysis of student learning outcomes. The research results revealed that a lack of understanding of basic mathematical concepts, weak short-term memory, lack of support from family, and teaching methods that tend to be conventional are the main causes that hinder students from learning addition and subtraction. Apart from that, anxiety when facing mathematics assignments also affects students' learning motivation. This research recommends developing more interactive teaching methods, increasing family involvement in the student learning process, and using more interesting teaching aids in schools. The implementation of these strategies is expected to help students overcome learning difficulties and improve their understanding of basic mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of using the wordwall media on the activity and understanding of fifth-grade students regarding food chains. The wordwall media is a visual learning tool that can enhance student interaction and engagement in the learning process. The research method used is quantitative with an experimental design. The subjects of the study consist of 30 fifth-grade students divided into two groups: an experimental group that uses wordwall media and a control group that learns without the media.Data collection was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests to measure students' understanding of food chains, as well as questionnaires to assess student activity during the learning process. The analysis results show that the average post-test scores of the experimental group increased significantly compared to the control group, with p < 0.05. Additionally, 85% of students in the experimental group reported that they felt more active and engaged in the learning process. This study concludes that the use of wordwall media can significantly improve student activity and understanding of food chains, thus having a positive implication for teaching strategies in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of using an AI-based adaptive learning application on improving the mathematics skills of sixth-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri Gili Barat, Kamal District. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the study consisted of 30 students, divided into two groups: an experimental group using the adaptive learning application and a control group following conventional learning. Data were collected through mathematics skills tests administered before and after the intervention. The results showed that the average mathematics skill score in the experimental group increased from 60 to 85, while the control group only increased from 62 to 70. Analysis using t-test revealed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05). These findings highlight the effectiveness of the AI-based adaptive learning application in improving students' mathematics skills and provide positive implications for the integration of technology in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of animated video media on the reading interest and skills of third-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri Pendabah 1, Kecamatan Kamal. Recognizing the challenges faced by young learners in engaging with traditional reading exercises, this research focuses on how visual and interactive elements in animated videos can enhance students' motivation and comprehension in reading activities. The experimental method was employed with a pre-test and post-test design to assess the differences in students’ reading interest and proficiency before and after the intervention.The study involved a sample of third-grade students divided into experimental and control groups, where the experimental group was exposed to animated video media for reading sessions, while the control group followed conventional reading instruction. Analysis of the results indicated a significant increase in both reading interest and skills within the experimental group compared to the control group. Specifically, the animated videos captured students' attention, making reading sessions more engaging and thus contributing to a stronger motivation to read. The visual and interactive qualities of the videos appeared to aid in understanding and retaining reading materials, aligning with theories that suggest multimedia can enhance cognitive engagement in young learners.In conclusion, this study suggests that integrating animated video media as an educational tool can be highly effective in improving students' reading interest and ability. The findings imply that incorporating engaging multimedia elements in reading instruction can play a crucial role in motivating students and improving their learning outcomes. Schools and educators are encouraged to consider such media as a viable strategy to foster literacy skills in early education.
