Abstract

This literature review explains how the motivation to learn in today's all-digital era. This research was conducted by searching international and national literature related to the topics discussed using the Crossref, Google Schooler, and Microsoft Academic databases with the keywords learning motivation and technological development and the influence of gadgets. based on the results of the investigation, that in an all-digital era it can affect learning motivation, both positive and negative, this is limited by parental supervision.

Abstract

The background of this article is the earthquake victims who experienced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after the disaster. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a counseling approach that focuses on improving cognitive deviance due to events that harm him both physically and psychologically. This counseling will be directed at modifying the functions of thinking, feeling, and acting, by emphasizing the brain as an analyzer, decision maker, asking questions, acting, and deciding again.

Abstract

This classroom action research was carried out by applying the drill method to improve the vocational skills of sewing totebags for mild mentally retarded children in class XI at SLB Luak Nan Bungsu. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that improving the vocational skills of sewing totebags for mild mentally retarded children in class XI is suitable/effective using the drill method (practice). Judging from the results of the implementation of making shell decorations that are done by children, it is increasing from the giving of the first cycle to the second cycle. From the results obtained the initial ability of children from U 35% and O 28% then given action in the first cycle increased to U 64% and O 55% then continued in the second cycle the child's ability increased to U 82% and O 79%. In the implementation of the drill method, it can be developed with various forms and creations that are owned by the teacher which of course adapts to the characteristics of the child. Skills learning activities carried out using tools such as sewing machines, sewing threads, sewing chalk, pencils, scissors, tape measure, rulers and pins, there are also materials in the form of canvas and paper and the learning methods used are able to generate motivation and enthusiasm for children to take part in learning. which has been designed because the child feels trained continuously. The use of the drill method (practice) is carried out continuously in stages. With the hope that the teaching and learning process and results are successful in accordance with the design and learning objectives of vocational skills to sew totebags (tote bags). From the results of the research, after using the drill method, it can improve the vocational skills of sewing totebags for mild mentally retarded children in class XI at SLB Luak Nan Bungsu.

Abstract

Professional services that humans can use nowadays are counseling and psychotherapy services. Both services can help people prevent or overcome obstacles and problems that occur in their lives that disrupt practical daily life. One of the obstacles or problems that humans often face in achieving an effective life is psychological disorders. Basically, counseling and psychotherapy are assistance services that have the same goal but in concept, there are slight differences. This research method uses literature studies, the purpose of this research is to explore and examine counseling and psychotherapy in terms of concepts and processes. This research uses a number of data, including books, research reports, and scientific articles.

Abstract

Educational psychology is a science that studies learning, behavior, growth, and individual maturity as well as the application of scientific principles to human reactions which basically affect the process of teaching and learning in the world of education. Educational psychology can be used as a foundation in the development of educational theory and practice and has made a major contribution to education. Educational psychology focuses on the way children learn in educational settings, the effectiveness of teaching, teaching methods, and the organizational management of schools. Teachers or education personnel are an important element in applying educational psychology to children. Educational psychology in children is very important to note because it has a big influence on children's learning processes, to help children so that their learning processes run effectively. Teachers or educators must understand how to carry out better and meaningful learning practices. Learning practices in which teachers can understand students' psychological conditions, how they behave, what factors can encourage their potential to be more open, and other things in line with the learning objectives themselves. This reason also makes Educational Psychology a field that must be mastered by teachers or educators, so that they have various perspectives and do not rely on only one assumption when encountering certain problems in learning.

Abstract

Study aims to observe how the teacher uses learning media in using visual media in learning Mathematics at IV SD Negeri 105365 Lubuk Bayas, the supporting factors and inhibiting factors faced by teachers in using visual media in learning Mathematics for class IV SD Negeri 105365 Lubuk Bayas. This research is a type of This qualitative research and uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data was obtained through several data sources, namely observation, interviews, and supporting documentation of visual learning media, the availability of textbooks and the activeness of SD Negeri 105365 Lubuk Bayas teachers in participating in training related to learning media. While the inhibiting factors faced by teachers are 3 factors, namely the availability of time in providing visual media, the need for quantity additions and updates related to supporting tools for visual learning media and the availability of textbooks that can support Mathematics learning activities. Students' perceptions of learning activities that use visual media in Indonesian language learning class IV SD Negeri 105365 Lubuk Bayas, namely students giving positive responses. Students like and feel happy and do not feel bored when the teacher teaches using a variety of visual media. Students hope that learning with visual media will continue to be carried out and students hope that in the future learning can also be done outside the classroom to make it even more enjoyable.

Abstract

This research is an action research utilizing a planning, action, observation, and reflection cycle. It originated from a teacher's initial reflection on December 6, 2022, which revealed low mathematics scores among 1st-grade students. Their first-semester test results averaged only 5.8, prompting the need for guidance according to educational guidelines (KKTP). To address this, the author introduced the scientific inquiry learning model in mathematics classes for 1st-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Klambu. The research aimed to (1) enhance student engagement and (2) improve learning outcomes using this model. It employed a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through test sheets to evaluate learning outcomes and observation sheets to measure student engagement. The research outcomes demonstrated increased student learning performance and active participation in learning activities through the scientific inquiry model. Consequently, it can be concluded that implementing the scientific inquiry learning model positively impacts student performance, particularly in exploring various concepts. These findings suggest that educators can consider this model as an effective and innovative approach for teaching and learning.

Abstract

Since August 2021, SMPN 3 Mojokerto initiated limited face-to-face learning, which subsequently evolved into full-fledged in-person education by January 2022, implementing health protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the pandemic's impact became evident in the declining character of students, notably in their discipline and courtesy. To address this issue, the school introduced an initiative known as "KADIS S3 SEGER," where public service is provided to students with the goal of enhancing their discipline and courtesy in a healthy and joyful manner. Each day before entering the school, during a specific time frame, teachers and administrative staff warmly greet students with smiles, greetings, and salutations while also conducting body temperature checks. Students traverse three distinct lanes, and this activity is executed effectively and efficiently. The "KADIS S3 SEGER" initiative successfully improved student discipline and courtesy, as evidenced by attendance data collected via fingerprint scanning, showing a reduction in student tardiness from 6.1% to 1.1%, and an increase in students' courtesy towards teachers from 84% to 94%. Furthermore, the culture of smiling, greetings, salutations, and courtesy is being increasingly ingrained within the school, providing an effective framework for in-person learning amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The conflicts regarding election results, decreasing public participation in political activities, eroding critical thinking, misinterpretation of freedom of speech, uncontrollable feelings of insecurity due to a lack of self-confidence in facing competition, stereotypes and cynicism corroding respect for diversity and differences are evidence that society has not fully realized its potential. The community has not been able to internalize the noble values of respecting differences, equality, freedom, ethics, and consensus contained in Pancasila. This phenomenon raises the question of how to teach these values to children. What kind of school can accommodate various needs to teach these values? What kind of education is needed? Should education involve more philosophical elements? More media literacy? More elements of citizenship? Or more historical elements? This research aims to describe the implementation of the Strengthening Student Pancasila Profile (P5) project with the theme "Voice of Democracy" and the topic "One Voice for Change" as part of the implementation of the Free Curriculum. The research method used is qualitative description. This study involves students from UPT Public Junior High School 5 in Mojokerto, in the seventh and eighth grades. The sources of research data come from interviews, observations, and documentary studies. The results of the research show that the implementation of P5 is able to increase active participation of students in expressing their voices as a manifestation of good democratic practices in daily life. It is also able to shape the character profile of Pancasila students; morality towards the state, mutual cooperation, and critical thinking.
