Abstract

This study aims to explore the effects of emotional intelligence and professionalism on employee productivity at a manufacturing company in Pasuruan, while also assessing the role of compensation in enhancing productivity. It examines how emotional intelligence, professionalism, and compensation concurrently influence employee productivity. The research population comprises all employees working at the company, totaling 85 individuals. A saturation sampling method is employed, resulting in a sample size of 85 respondents. The study utilizes a quantitative descriptive methodology for data collection and analysis. The findings reveal that emotional intelligence, professionalism, and compensation each have a positive and significant impact on employee productivity. Moreover, these three variables collectively contribute to enhancing work productivity among employees. The implications of this research are significant for management and human resource practices. Understanding that emotional intelligence plays a crucial role highlights the need for organizations to promote emotional skills among employees. This could be achieved through training programs that enhance emotional competencies, enabling employees to work better in teams, handle stress effectively, and improve their interactions with colleagues and clients. Additionally, the positive influence of professionalism emphasizes the importance of fostering a professional work culture within the organization. Management should focus on creating an environment that values accountability, ethical behavior, and continuous improvement. Furthermore, the significant effect of compensation reinforces the necessity for competitive remuneration packages that recognize and reward employee contributions. By addressing these aspects—emotional intelligence, professionalism, and compensation—organizations can create a more motivated workforce that drives higher productivity and achieves company goals. Abstract

This study examines the influence of Mandarin language competency, networking, and popularity on career support in Medan City. A quantitative methodology was utilized to collect data via questionnaires distributed to 30 participants, which were subsequently evaluated using validity and reliability assessments, descriptive statistics, and linear regression. The results demonstrate that skills in Mandarin and networking do not substantially impact career support; instead, popularity exerts a considerable influence. When evaluated collectively, the three variables substantially influence career support. The results indicate that while Mandarin language proficiency and networking do not substantially aid job advancement, popularity is vital. The comprehensive analysis highlights the significance of Mandarin language proficiency, relationship cultivation, and popularity in enhancing career prospects in Medan.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of Internet and Security, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Non-Performing Loans, Operating Expenses to Operating Income, Loan to Deposit Ratio, Bank Size, Loans, Exchange Rate, and Gross Domestic Product on the performance of conventional banks from 2017 to 2022. The sample consists of conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during this period. Data is sourced from a time series covering the years from 2017 to 2022 for independent variables and bank performance as the dependent variable. The methodology employed is Ordinary Least Squares, utilizing Eviews 10 software for logistic regression analysis. The results indicate that Internet and Security, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Loan to Deposit Ratio, Bank Size, and Gross Domestic Product significantly affect changes in the performance of conventional banks, as measured by Return on Assets (ROA). Specifically, Internet Security, Bank Size, Exchange Rate, and Gross Domestic Product show a positive impact, while Capital Adequacy Ratio, Operating Expenses, Non-Performing Loans, and Loans exhibit a negative effect. Finance managers can leverage this research to gain insights into the key factors contributing to the performance of conventional banks in Indonesia, particularly as influenced by digital financial services and advancements in technology and information, which significantly impact the banking sector. By understanding these factors, managers can make more informed decisions to effectively manage their banks and enhance performance. Additionally, the findings provide valuable information to investors regarding the primary determinants of conventional bank performance in Indonesia, enabling them to take appropriate actions for investment and achieve high returns on their investments.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of entrepreneurship education and business incubators on the entrepreneurial intentions of first-year students at President University. Amidst fluctuating economic conditions and declining job market demands, understanding the factors that encourage entrepreneurship becomes crucial for reducing unemployment and enhancing economic productivity. Utilizing a quantitative research method, an online survey was administered to 125 students to assess their socio-demographic profiles, participation in entrepreneurship programs, and their intentions to become entrepreneurs. The analysis reveals a significant positive correlation between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intentions, with students expressing high motivation to start their own businesses following participation in the Economic Survival courses. Additionally, the presence of the SetSail BizAccel business incubator further bolstered these intentions by providing necessary resources and mentorship. The findings underscore the importance of integrated educational frameworks that combine theoretical knowledge with practical support, emphasizing the role of entrepreneurship in fostering economic sustainability, innovation, and personal development among students. These insights are essential for policymakers and educational institutions aiming to cultivate a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research addresses the critical issue of how liquidity and profitability influence tax aggressiveness within companies. The primary objective is to test the hypothesis that both liquidity and profitability significantly affect tax strategies in plantation subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Utilizing purposive sampling, the study selected 12 companies that consistently published financial reports from 2018 to 2022. For data analysis, the study employed various techniques, including classical assumption tests, multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, and hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that liquidity, with a significance value of 0.010, and profitability, with a significance value of 0.000, each partially influence tax aggressiveness. The F-test results further confirm that tax aggressiveness is significantly affected by liquidity and profitability together, as indicated by a p-value of 0.000. These outcomes highlight the importance of both liquidity and profitability as determinants of tax aggressiveness in the plantation sector. The implications of this research suggest that companies can leverage their liquidity and profitability positions to optimize their tax strategies effectively. This study contributes valuable insights for policymakers and business leaders looking to understand the financial factors that drive tax behavior in corporate settings.

Abstract

The implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system serves as a crucial strategy for companies looking to enhance their efficiency, effectiveness, and competitive edge. This study aims to identify the factors that influence ERP system implementation and their subsequent impact on work effectiveness. To achieve this, the research employs a quantitative descriptive method, which involves distributing questionnaires to collect data from respondents. The collected data undergo various analyses, including validity tests, normality tests, and multiple linear regression tests. The findings reveal that organizational characteristics, information quality, and management support significantly and positively influence work implementation. Conversely, the HR competency variable did not demonstrate a significant or positive effect. Additionally, the study reveals that ERP implementation positively affects work effectiveness. This indicates that adopting an ERP system allows companies to streamline their data processing, ultimately leading to improved work performance. By integrating these systems, organizations can enhance their operational efficiency, thereby fostering a more productive work environment. Overall, the study highlights the importance of leveraging ERP systems to bolster work effectiveness and underscores the critical role that organizational factors play in this process.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of work-life balance, assessed through the dimensions of time balance, involvement, and satisfaction, on employee job satisfaction within the bakery sector in Malang City. The employed research method is a quantitative approach utilizing a descriptive framework. This research was performed on employees in the bread industry in Malang City with the saturation sample approach, yielding 100 responses. Primary data were acquired via surveys, whereas supplementary data were gathered through employee interviews. Data analysis encompasses the assessment of the measurement model (outer model), the structural model (inner model), and hypothesis testing with SPLS 4.0. The statistical test results indicated that time balance did not significantly correlate with employee job satisfaction, evidenced by a T-statistic of 1.157, below the T-table value of 1.96, and a P-value of 0.206, beyond the 0.05 threshold. The engagement variable significantly affects employee work satisfaction, as evidenced by a T-statistic of 2.702, surpassing the T-table value of 1.96, and a P-value of 0.007, below 0.05. The balance of satisfaction significantly influences employee job satisfaction, evidenced by a T-statistic of 8.042, surpassing the T-table value of 1.96, and a P-value of 0.000, below 0.05. The simultaneous combined effect of time balance, involvement, and satisfaction does not significantly influence employee work satisfaction. The T-statistic value of 1.265 is less than the T-table value of 1.96, and the P-value of 0.248 surpasses the 0.05 criterion. The findings demonstrate that work-life balance influences employee job satisfaction, mainly through the aspects of involvement and satisfaction within the baking sector in Malang City.

Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) refers to supplementary actions performed by individuals to enhance organizational efficiency. This study investigates the correlation between personality traits and organizational citizenship behavior influenced by transformational leadership. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is crucial in enhancing corporate success. This research employs a quantitative methodology inside an exploratory framework. The study population comprised 92 employees of the Tourism Services Company in Malang. The employed sample technique is saturation sampling. The data collection approach employs a questionnaire. The data analysis process employs SmartPLS 4.0 software, integrating external model assessment, internal model evaluation, and hypothesis testing. The study's results indicated a significant and positive connection between personality and organizational citizenship behavior, evidenced by a T-table value of 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 below 0.05. The moderation test results demonstrate that transformational leadership adversely moderates the link between personality and OCB, indicated by a statistical value of -0.219, less than the T-table value of 1.96, and a P-value of 0.827, exceeding 0.05. This study demonstrates that organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) evolves through employee knowledge, independent of leadership direction. This study investigates the relationship between personality and organizational citizenship behavior, mediated by transformational leadership.  Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is crucial for enhancing organizational effectiveness. Transformational leadership does not enhance organizational citizenship behavior, as employees possess a comprehensive awareness of assisting colleagues and the organization independently of the leader's directives.

Abstract

The swift advancement of information technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 age, progressing towards Society 5.0, has underscored the vital significance of digital transformation for industries. Digital transformation is a crucial strategy for enterprises to ensure business continuity, improve operational efficiency, and sustain competitiveness in a constantly changing industrial landscape. This study examines the function of Learning Management Systems (LMS) in enhancing employees' digital competencies and its resultant effect on attaining digital transformation in a chemical firm located in Gresik, Indonesia. The study used a quantitative methodology with an explanatory research design, examining the interrelations among LMS, digital competence, and digital transformation through route analysis. Data were gathered from 95 employees across multiple areas of the organization using standardized questionnaires. The research utilized primary data from participants and secondary data from literature reviews of books, journals, and pertinent papers. The questionnaires aimed to assess perceptions of LMS usage, the growth of digital competence, and advancements in digital transformation. Data research indicated that LMS has a favorable and considerable impact on enhancing employees' digital competencies. Moreover, improved digital proficiency immediately and substantially facilitates the effective execution of digital transformation within the firm. The results indicate that LMS is essential for employee training, offering a flexible and accessible learning environment that promotes self-directed learning and adaptability to emerging technology. By providing employees with essential digital competencies, LMS improves individual performance and aids organizational achievement in addressing the challenges of the digital age. The study highlights the indirect influence of LMS on digital transformation via enhanced digital competence, stressing the interrelation of these factors in fulfilling organizational goals. The report provides actionable insights for organizations aiming to expedite digital transformation by utilizing LMS as a strategic asset for employee development. It underscores the need to invest in superior LMS platforms and connect them with company objectives and policies to guarantee active employee engagement. Furthermore, the research paves the way for further investigation into factors affecting the relationship among LMS, digital competence, and digital transformation, including organizational culture, leadership, and the degree of technology use. This study underscores the essential function of LMS in enhancing digital competence and facilitating digital transformation within industries, specifically in the context of the chemical industry in Gresik. It offers critical insights for firms seeking to fortify their digital strategy, augment personnel competencies, and elevate competitiveness in the global marketplace. These findings further enhance the broader academic conversation regarding the interaction between digital learning platforms, workforce competency, and organizational change in the digital era.

Abstract

This study seeks to assess the impact of Perceived Value on the purchase intention of GoSend service users in Malang City. The research methodology employs a quantitative approach, focusing on a community of consumers using GoSend services. The research sample comprised 165 respondents chosen using the Malhotra formula via a nonprobability sampling strategy employing purposive sampling. Data were gathered using an online questionnaire, and the analysis was conducted using SmartPLS software to examine the relationships among variables. The findings indicated that Perceived Value significantly influences Repurchase Intention. This research suggests that users' perceived value significantly influences their motivation to continue utilizing GoSend services. Moreover, elements that affect Perceived Value encompass Application Incentive, Perceived Ubiquity, and Visual Attractiveness. These three factors significantly influence consumer value perception. Incentives like discounts and promotions substantially enhance perceived value, emphasizing consumers' need for appealing promotional techniques. Perceived Ubiquity, indicative of the accessibility of services at any time and location, significantly impacted Perceived Value, underscoring the relevance of service flexibility for consumers. Moreover, the application's visual appeal, including an aesthetically pleasing UI and intuitive navigation, emerged as a critical determinant in fostering a favorable opinion of service value. This study offers strategic insights for GoSend to enhance client loyalty. Organizations can enhance Perceived Value by refining incentive programs, augmenting service flexibility, and guaranteeing an appealing, user-friendly application design. This study underscores the significance of cultivating and sustaining a favorable perception of value to promote repurchase intentions among delivery service consumers, particularly within the Generation Z demographic.
