Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and work discipline on the performance of employees participating in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program at the MBG Kitchen in Way Harong Village, Way Lima District, Pesawaran Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design and a cross-sectional survey method. The study population consisted of 53 employees, all of whom were selected as respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a t-value of 4.883 and a significance level of 0.000, while work discipline also has a positive and significant effect, with a t-value of 6.257 and a significance level of 0.000. Simultaneously, leadership and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by an F-value of 41.855 and a significance level of 0.000. The R² value of 0.652 indicates that leadership and work discipline jointly explain 65.2% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 34.8% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that improving employee performance requires effective leadership and consistent implementation of work discipline. Therefore, the management of the MBG Kitchen is advised to strengthen leadership role modeling, improve employee communication and development, reinforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), and enhance employees' time-management skills through training, monitoring, feedback, and regular performance evaluations.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing stock investment decisions among Gen Z investors. The research focuses on Gen Z individuals who possess a Single Investor Identification (SID). The sample consists of 100 investors residing in West Sumatra, born between 1997 and 2012, who have at least one year of experience in stock investment. Data and information were gathered through surveys. The factors influencing investment decisions among Gen Z investors examined in this study are financial literacy, overconfidence, and risk perception. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed for data analysis, with hypothesis testing conducted using t-statistics. The hypothesis testing results indicate that financial literacy and overconfidence have a positive effect on stock investment decisions among Gen Z investors in West Sumatra; these findings suggest that as Gen Z investors improve their financial literacy, a sense of overconfidence emerges when making investment decisions—specifically regarding the purchase of shares offered on the secondary market. However, risk perception was found to have no significant effect on investment decisions among Gen Z investors in West Sumatra.

Abstract

Leaf spot disease caused by Cercospora sp. It is one of the main obstacles in edamame plants because it can reduce crop yield and quality. Conventional control still relies on chemical fungicides that have the potential to have negative impacts on the environment and human health. Therefore, a more environmentally friendly control alternative is needed, one of which is through the use of biological agents such as Beauveria bassiana. In addition to being known as an entomopathogenic fungus, Beauveria bassiana has the potential to increase plant resistance to pathogens. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Beauveria bassiana as a biological agent in controlling leaf spot disease in edamame plants in vitro and determine the effective spore density to inhibit the growth of Cercospora sp. The research method used an inhibition test with various densities of Beauveria bassiana spores (108, 109, and 1010 Cfu/Spores) against pathogen growth in PDA media incubated for 72 hours. The results of the study showed that Beauveria bassiana was able to suppress the growth of Cercospora sp. in all treatments, with a spore density of 10¹⁰ Cfu/Spore providing the highest suppression rate of 28.70%. Thus, Beauveria bassiana has the potential to be a biological control agent for leaf spot disease in edamame plants that is environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) contribute more than 60% of Indonesia’s gross domestic product and absorb approximately 97% of the national workforce, yet most micro-entrepreneurs remain constrained by weak business planning, limited understanding of Islamic commercial principles, and low digital marketing literacy. This community service programme aimed to strengthen the sharia-based entrepreneurial capacity of members of the Muhammadiyah Branch Board (PCM) of Mustika Jaya, Bekasi City, through structured training and guided business plan development. The implementation consisted of four stages: socialisation and baseline data collection, interactive structured training, mentoring in business plan preparation, and evaluation through pre-test, post-test, and assessment of business plan quality. Thirty-five participants attended; 23 completed both the pre-test and post-test, and 25 submitted a business plan. Evaluation results showed an average increase of approximately 20% in participants’ understanding of entrepreneurship, Islamic business principles, and digital marketing. The collected business plans covered five business clusters, namely halal culinary (9 plans), retail and groceries (7), services (5), Muslim fashion and worship supplies (3), and waste management (1), and consistently articulated a commitment to avoiding riba, fair pricing, transparent contracts, and the planned use of Instagram, WhatsApp Business, and TikTok. The programme demonstrates that integrating entrepreneurship, muamalah, and digital marketing content within a single training series effectively produces applicable business plans while supporting the achievement of SDGs 1, 8, and 12.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of a community health empowerment program through stunting education and free health check-ups in Ciginggang Village, Gunungkencana District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. Ciginggang Village is a rural area with agrarian characteristics, hilly topography, and limited access to health facilities, which contributes to the high risk of stunting in toddlers. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through observation, interviews, and activity documentation. The results showed that the education effectively increased public knowledge about balanced nutrition, the importance of the first 1,000 days of life, and stunting prevention through proper parenting and sanitation. The free health check-ups successfully detected early cases of stunting risk and provided appropriate initial interventions. Supporting factors for the program's success included the active participation of posyandu cadres, community leaders, and cross-sector collaboration between the village government, community health centers, and the police.
