Abstract

Cases of child sexual abuse (CSA) in Indonesia continue to rise annually, representing a serious social and public health concern. Parents play a crucial role in preventing CSA, as they can directly teach children about bodily autonomy and safety. However, many parents lack awareness, hold misconceptions, and feel uncomfortable discussing sexual matters with their children. Despite their importance, interventions targeting parents remain limited, with most programs focusing primarily on children. This study aims to identify factors influencing parental awareness of CSA prevention and to examine parent-focused interventions through a systematic literature review (SLR). Data were collected from Google Scholar, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Sage, and ScienceDirect using Publish or Perish (PoP) software, applying inclusion criteria and the PRISMA framework. Thirteen relevant articles published within the past ten years were analyzed. Findings indicate that economic status, education level, limited knowledge, and negative attitudes significantly affect parents’ ability to educate their children about CSA prevention. In Indonesia, parent-focused interventions primarily include the “Underwear Rules” program and psychoeducational sessions using lectures, audiovisual media, worksheets, and roleplay. Internationally, interventions are more diverse, including structured training and game-based approaches, which enhance parental confidence, knowledge, and communication skills. These findings highlight the importance of culturally sensitive programs that actively involve parents as central agents in preventing CSA.

Abstract

The main problem underlying this research is the low social behavior of early childhood children, demonstrated by a tendency to be individualistic, reluctant to share, less willing to cooperate, dominate games, and minimal empathy and concern for friends. This condition emphasizes the importance of implementing learning methods that can encourage active involvement of children while honing their social skills. This research aims to improve children's social behavior by implementing group work methods. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). This was carried out in two cycles, where each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were early childhood group B consisting of 14 children. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation which were then processed through qualitative descriptive analysis supported by simple quantitative data. The research findings indicate an increase in children's social behavior, especially in the aspects of cooperation, sharing, and helping each other. In the pre-action stage, most children were in the underdeveloped category, while in the second cycle most children had reached the category of developing as expected to developing very well. The results of this study confirm that the group work method is effective in improving the social behavior of early childhood children. This research contributes to the development of collaborative learning strategies that focus on strengthening children's social-emotional aspects from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' strategies in stimulating early reading skills in children aged 5–6 years at Asisi Kindergarten Samarinda. Early reading is an important stage in literacy mastery that needs to be developed from an early age. The research subjects consisted of a B-class teacher and 15 children aged 5–6 years. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that teachers' strategies in stimulating early reading include three main aspects: (1) early identification of reading difficulties, (2) implementation of a multisensory approach based on the phonics method, and (3) teacher–parent collaboration through shared reading activities. The multisensory phonics approach combines visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile aspects through letter cards, picture books, memory games, and alphabet songs. The results show an improvement in children's ability to recognize letters and sounds, as well as an increase in interest and motivation to read. Thus, a teacher's creative, adaptive, and collaborative strategies play an important role in developing early literacy in young children. Keywords: teacher strategy, early reading, early childhood

Abstract

Instilling environmental awareness from an early age is a crucial step in shaping a generation that is responsible for nature. This study aims to improve children’s understanding and skills in distinguishing organic and inorganic waste through the use of educational video media and practical activities. This study also aims to develop teacher competencies in implementing the Pancasila Strengthening Student Profile Project (P5) at Hidayatul Mubtadiin Kindergarten. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a field study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of project activities. The project implementation included the delivery of educational videos on waste awareness, the impact of littering, and how to dispose of organic and inorganic waste. Twenty-two Kindergarten B children participated in a waste sorting activity based on the color of their bins. The results showed that 19 children successfully sorted their waste accurately, while three children experienced difficulties in the learning process. The study concluded that the learning method through educational videos on waste and hands-on practice was effective in improving children's understanding and skills regarding waste and waste management, and supporting the development of environmentally conscious character in early childhood.
