Abstract

In the Jatimurni sub-district of Bekasi City, this study is to examine the relationship between father attachment and self-confidence in children aged 5 to 6. This study's foundation is the observation that, in Indonesia, fathers are not actively involved in their children's upbringing, which has negative effects on their children's social and emotional development, especially their self-confidence. Involving 104 dads and children between the ages of 5 and 6, the study method used a correlational quantitative approach with a purposive sample strategy. A validated and reliable questionnaire serves as the research tool. A basic linear regression and Spearman's rho correlation test are used in data analysis. A correlation coefficient of 0.752 and a R Squared value of 0.566 indicate that there is a strong relationship between father attachment and self-confidence in young children. Except for the father's connection, which is affected by variables not included in this research. The significance of the father's involvement in fostering self-confidence in children from a young age is highlighted by these results, which support Bowlby's attachment theory. Family education programs and social support should be more prominent in raising dads' consciousness of their roles as active participants in their children's upbringing, according to the research's practical implications. Additional research into the elements that influence children's self-confidence is needed, according to this study.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of education, including teacher administration in Kindergarten. Teacher administration that is still carried out manually often faces problems of efficiency, accessibility, and regularity in document management. To overcome these challenges, this study aims to develop an Electronic Portfolio (POTRET) based on Google Sites to support the digitization of kindergarten teacher administration. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adopting the Borg & Gall model and the ADDIE model in product development. The subject of the study is a kindergarten teacher in Cisaat District, Sukabumi Regency, who already has an Belajar.id account from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). Data was collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and trial implementations of the POTRET system. The results of the study are expected to show that the implementation of an electronic portfolio based on Google Sites can improve the efficiency of teacher administration in compiling, storing, and accessing digital documents more systematically. In addition, this study also aims to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of POTRET in facilitating the administrative tasks of kindergarten teachers. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the innovation of digitalization of early childhood education administration and support digital transformation policies in the education sector

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve children's motor and creativity skills through activities in the natural materials center at TK Kesuma Bangsa, Sukabumi. The research was conducted in three cycles, each consisting of two meetings and involving 14 children in group A. Data collection methods included observation and documentation. In the pre-cycle stage, both motor and creativity skills were still in the "emerging" category, with average scores of 30.6% and 29.1%, respectively. Improvements were observed in each cycle: by Cycle II, average motor skills reached 66%, and creativity reached 65.8%. In Cycle III, both aspects exceeded the success criteria of 90%, with motor skills reaching 92.4% and creativity 90.5%. These results indicate that natural materials-based learning activities effectively enhance children's motor and creative abilities when supported by varied media, appropriate settings, and teacher facilitation.

Abstract

Digital technology advancements have created innovative opportunities in early childhood education, particularly through digital storytelling. This research is motivated by challenges in developing expressive language skills in children in the digital era and the lack of comprehensive literature on the effectiveness of digital storytelling in Indonesian early childhood education contexts. This study aims to explore and analyze the phenomenon of using digital storytelling as a learning medium to develop expressive language skills in children aged 5-6 years. The research employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, involving 15 children and 8 teachers at Darul Mustofa Burneh Kindergarten, Bangkalan, Madura. The results indicate that digital storytelling significantly improves children's ability to express ideas, retell stories with more complex structures, and develop new vocabulary. Thematic analysis identified four main themes: (1) Improved Quality and Complexity of Expressive Language, (2) Increased Active Participation and Duration of Children's Speaking, (3) Positive Impact on Introverted Children, and (4) Increased Social and Collaborative Learning. This study concludes that appropriate and curriculum-integrated use of digital storytelling can be an effective strategy in developing expressive language skills in early childhood. This research contributes to the developme nt of innovative technology-based learning models that align with the developmental characteristics of children in the digital era.

Abstract

Early childhood is a golden period in a child's development that greatly determines their future, including in terms of the use of technology such as gadgets. In the digital era, children are increasingly familiar with technological devices from an early age, so the role of parents becomes very crucial in directing the use of gadgets wisely. This study aims to describe the role of parents in the use of gadgets on the development of early childhood, with a focus on parenting strategies and their impact on the cognitive, social, and emotional aspects of children. The approach used is qualitative with a case study type of a 4-year-old child (Ananda R) in Samarinda City. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with parents, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study showed that the active involvement of parents is very influential in forming healthy gadget usage habits. Ananda R's parents act as guides, facilitators, motivators, and role models. Gadget use is situationally limited, always supervised, and balanced with physical activity, social interaction, and non-digital learning such as reading, playing puzzles, and outdoor activities. The content presented is educational and selectively selected. This support has been proven to support cognitive and social development, as well as helping children manage their emotions. This study emphasizes the importance of parental involvement in digital parenting as an effort to create a balance between the use of technology and the holistic and responsible development of children.
