Abstract

Stroke is a condition where clinical signs develop rapidly in the form of focal and global neurologic deficits, which can be severe and last for 24 hours or more and or can cause death, without any other obvious cause other than vascular. This case study aims to determine the management of tactile stimulation and core stability in reducing sensory disturbances, increasing muscle strength, and increasing functional activity, usually starting exercise for at least a few minutes. The method used is a case study method with one respondent using a sensory measuring instrument with a sensibility test, muscle strength with MMT and ADL with index Katz. after physiotherapy with intervention of tactile stimulation and core stability. During 6 times of therapy, the results were decreased sensory disturbances, increased muscle strength, and increased functional activity. The conclusion of this study is that with the complaints caused by these conditions, the authors chose the intervention of tactile stimulation and Core Stability therapy for 6 therapy times. The results were a decrease in sensory disturbances, an increase in muscle strength, and an increase in functional activity.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a major health problem in children under five because it can inhibit the process of growth and development. Of the prevalence of totally wasted in the world, 69% is in Asia and 23% is in Africa. The results of the 2018 Riskesdas, the prevalence of malnutrition in children under five, especially wasted in Indonesia, 2018 reached 13.8%. Meanwhile, public health problems are considered serious if the prevalence of waste ranges from 10.0%- 14.0% and is considered critical if 15.0%. Thus, the problem of waste is still a serious public health problem in Indonesia. The prevalence of waste in Jambi Province reached 17.0% and diarrhea in children under five was 7.7%. This study aims to determine the relationship between a history of diarrhea and the incidence of waste in Toddlers aged 24-59 months in Siulak Mukai District, Kerinci Regency. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in Siulak Mukai Subdistrict, Kerinci Regency on 24-28 February 2022. The population and sample in this study were data on all children under five in the research of Kasyani et al (2020) with a total of 210 respondents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Based on this study, most of the toddlers aged 24-59 months in Siulak Mukai District, Kerinci Regency did not experience wasted events (94.3%) and did not have a history of diarrhea (82.9%). There was no relationship between a history of diarrhea and the incidence of waste in Toddlers aged 24-59 months in Siulak Mukai District, Kerinci Regency (p = 0.255). It is expected that mothers and fathers of toddlers can participate and play an active role in information dissemination activities carried out by health workers in Siulak Mukai District, Kerinci Regency about diarrhea and wasting.

Abstract

Sausage is a processed food product made from a mixture of meat that is inserted into a sausage casing. One of the innovations that can be developed is the addition of tempeh flour which is expected to provide a different taste so that it can increase the acceptability and nutritional content of the sausage. The purpose of this study was to determine the acceptability of consumers (color, aroma, taste, and texture), as well as to determine the levels of protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, water content and ash content. This study is a quantitative study, with an experimental design. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments (addition of tempe flour in the amount of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%). This research was conducted in January 2022 at the Nutritional Laboratory of Stikes Baiturrahim Jambi and the nutritional content test was carried out at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jambi University. Acceptability parameters (hedonic quality test), color, aroma, texture and taste with the help of 30 consumer panelists. This study used the One-Way ANOVA data analysis method and the Tukey test with a standard < 0.05. And then proceed with the nutritional content test. Based on the results of the panelist test, it is known that the most preferred is the addition of tempe flour as much as 20% (A5) in terms of color, aroma, taste and texture. With a protein content of 8.15%, fat content of 3.72%, carbohydrate content of 23.60%, fiber content of 1.98%, water content of 54.67% and ash content of 9.85%. There is a significant effect on the manufacture of chicken sausage with the addition of tempeh flour on the acceptability and nutritional content

Abstract

The high prevalence of iron nutritional anemia is caused by inadequate intake of iron for daily needs and disruption of body absorption so that iron deficiency for a long time will develop into anemia. This study aims at the relationship among iron consumption, inhibitors, and enhancers, and anemia status in teenage females. Study employed technique with a cross sectional sample of 60 teenage females chosen at random. Questionnaires, Food Recall, and 24-hour Food Frequency are some of the measurement devices employed. Since July 2022, a questionnaire has been distributed to SMP Negeri 16 in Jambi City. The participants in the study were 319 teenage females from SMP Negeri 16 in Jambi City. The sample of study is (FFQ). Univariate and bivariate data analysis were used (chi square test). According to the univariate analysis, the majority of the teenage females in SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City were categorised as anaemic (58.3%), frequently consumed inhibitors of iron, and seldom consumed enhancer iron nutrients. Chi-square analysis revealed a connection between anaemia status iron nutrient inhibitors (p-value = 0.016), and iron nutrient enhancers (p-value = 0.030). There is a substantial link between iron consumption, inhibitors, and enhancers among teenage girls at SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City. As a result, young women should restrict their intake of iron-inhibiting and iron-enhancing foods. Anemia, iron consumption, inhibitor and enhancer intake, teenage female.

Abstract

Anemia in pegnant mother is the condition of the mother with hemoglobin levels below 12 mg/dl, anemia is one of the risks of maternal death, the incidence of babies with low birth weight (LBW), Iron deficiency can cause interference or inhibition of fetal grawth both body cells and brain cells. This study animed to determine the description of subtansce intake, nutritional knowledge and education level of mother toward pregnant mother anemia at working area the public health center Rantau Badak Tanjung Jabung Barat regerency. This study used descriptive design, it was conducted at the public health center Rantau Badak Tanjung Jabung Barat regerency in March 2022. Populasion were all of pregnant mothers as many as 20 people. The collecting of data used questionnaire.

Abstract

Noodles, one of the food products with wheat flour raw materials, is very popular among the people of Indonesia. Noodle products are generally used as an energy source because they have quite high carbohydrates. Noodles are also one of the types of alternative foods after rice whose development is very fast. Noodles develop over time in terms of number and variety (Tiffani et al.  2018). The purpose of this study is the discovery of the addition of red spinach flour (Amaranthus tricolor L.  ) to the acceptability and nutritional value of wet noodles. This study aims to examine the differences in wet noodles substitution of red spinach flour on acceptability and nutritional value (moisture content, fiber content, protein, carbohydrates, ash content, fat). This study is an experimental study with four treatments of plain bread substitution of red spinach leaf flour A1 (100% wheat flour: 0% red spinach flour), A2 (95% wheat flour: 5% red spinach flour), A3 (90% wheat flour: 10% red spinach flour), A4 (85% wheat flour: 15% red spinach flour). Organoleptic test data were analyzed with a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) and nutritional value tests with descriptive tests. Conducted at the Food and Nutrition Laboratory of the Baiturrahim Jambi College of Health Sciences in July and the Nutritional Value Test at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unja in August. The results showed that the selected red spinach flour substitution wet noodles (90% wheat flour: 10% red spinach flour) had a preferred color, aroma, texture and taste. In this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the substitution of red spinach flour wet noodles to the acceptability and nutritional value of the wet noodles.

Abstract

Neck pain that is felt in the back of the upper or cervical spine. The pain felt can radiate to the head and shoulders and even the fingers. Neck pain is a common problem. International data in 1996 mentions 3.5% cases per 1,000 people. At least two out of three people will experience it during their lifetime.  A potential cause of neck pain is pressure on soft tissues, bones, or joints in the cervical area. In some cases it can also be caused by hyperextension trauma or whisplash injury, overuse by looking down for too long while working

Abstract

Pregnant women are easily suffered from nutritional problems, especially cronic energy deficiency. It is signed by the upper arm circumference value that is <23,5 cm. one of the waysto overcome this problem is by controlling the nutrition and suplementary feeding intakes. Using quantitative methodology with cross-sectional design, this study was cunducted in a public health center in Muara Tebo in agustus 2022. The sample were 33 people. Abstract

Obesity is an excessive accumulation of fat due to an imbalance in energy intake with energy expenditure over a long period of time. The results of the 2018 Riskesdas showed that there was an increase in the prevalence of obesity in those aged 18 years and over, from 14.8% to 21.8%. In the obese population, the prevalence was higher in women (29.3%) than in men (14.5%). Many degenerative diseases can occur in someone who is overweight such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension (high blood pressure), coronary heart disease, arthritis, and cancer. This study is a descriptive study conducted to see the picture of each variable studied at the same time. This study aims to see the picture of obesity in adolescents at the Al Hidayah Islamic Boarding School in Jambi City. This study took place at the Al Hidayah Islamic Boarding School in Jambi City. A sample of 101 people was taken by proportional random sampling. The results of the study showed that the age of the respondents was mostly 16 and 17 years old, as many as 33 people (32.67%), the majority of respondents were female, as many as 77 respondents (76.23%), the majority of respondents were in grade XII, as many as 41.58%. The description of the respondents was mostly not obese/normal, as many as 85.15%. For teenagers at the Al Hidayah Islamic Boarding School, to increase awareness of the importance of physical activity and consuming healthy and balanced nutritious food so that good nutritional status is achieve

Abstract

Hypertension is a health problem that is quite dangerous throughout the world, because hypertension is a disease that occurs due to problems that often arise from changes in a person's lifestyle or eating patterns, such as consuming foods that are high in salt, high in calories, high in fat, low in fiber, high in stress. experienced, obesity, smoking habits, not consuming enough fruit, lack of physical activity and drinking alcohol will trigger the emergence of hypertension. The aim of the research is to describe the life style of hypertension sufferers at the Olak Kemang Community Health Center, Jambi City. This research is a descriptive research study that was conducted at the Olak Kemang Community Health Center, Jambi City from September 2023 to August 2024. Samples were taken using accidental sampling, the sample size was 95 respondents. Data collection using questionnaires. Research results: Good Lifestyle Description of 56 Respondents. In conclusion, the results of this research can be used to improve the quality of nursing staff services in increasing knowledge of the lifestyle of hypertension sufferers to the public using various media such as social media leaflets
