Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian generalisasi validitas adalah untuk mengestimasi mean dan variansi validitas sesungguhnya dari suatu tes seleksi. Prinsip dasar dari model generalisasi validitas adalah pemartisian variansi, yaitu identifikasi dan pemilahan terhadap variansi dari validitas teramati yang bertanggung jawab terhadap error sistematik yang berhubungan dengan artifak statistik dan error dari random sampling. Model dasar untuk generalisasi validitas didasarkan pada suatu struktur persamaan untuk koefisien korelasi teramati antara prediktor X dan kriteria Y, dimana R adalah korelasi teramati, ρ’ adalah korelasi populasi yang dibatasi, dan e adalah peluang error yang berhubungan dengan sampling

Abstract

Endophytic bacteria are of alternative of antimicrobial compound producers. Their existence in the medicinal plants of johar (Cassia Siamea Lamk.) enables to produce bioactive compounds simmilar to those contained by the host plants. It is necessary to isolate and characterize endophytic bacteria from johar. Methods consisted of samples sterilization, endophytic bacterial isolation, and characterization of the morphology and physiology of Endophytic bacteria. a total of seven isolates of endophytic bacterial isolates were obtained from the isolation of plant Johar. Isolates DC 2, DC 3 and BC 3 had antibacterial capabilities with inhibitory zone diameters of 5 mm, 8.5 mm and 11.5 mm respectively.

Abstract

This research aimed to study on the microscopic changes of lungs in male rat that exposured to cigarette smoke. A factorial CRD with periode of treatment and sample collection was applied in this study. An exposure of cigarette smoke was carried out at 10 cigarettes/rat/day for 2.5 hours in an smoking chamber. Group N is untreated animals. Group 20d is exposed animals with cigarette smoke for 20 days consectitively and released from the cigarette smoke exposure for 20 days. Group 40d is exposed animals for 40 days and released from the cigarette smoke for 40 days. Group 60d is exposed animals for 60 days similar as above. Data collection was carried out twice : after exposure and after redeasing the cigarette smoke exposure. The parameters of observation microscopic analysis of lungs included weight wet of lung and change of lung histopathologic.The results show decreased weight wet of lung, increased number of blackish particulate deposits in the cytoplasm of alveoli at 40d and 60d considered as tar deposit, an increased activity of inflammatory cells of male rats after exposing which were unable to recover after releasing of cigarette smoke exposure.

Abstract

The study on "Effectiveness in the Use of Respiratory Equipment Model Describes Dangers Of Smoking on Respiratory System Student Class IX SMP Negeri 13 Banda Aceh, was held on January 23, 2010. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of respiratory equipment models in explaining the dangers of smoking on the students. Subjects in this study were the students who smoked in the Class IX students numbering 50 people. The method used in this study is an experiment in "Pre-test and post-test." Data were analyzed with statistical t-test formula. Results of data analysis obtained t = 13.1 (α = 0.05; db = 49) obtained t table price = 2.01, which is well known t t table. Thus, it can be concluded that the knowledge given to students about the dangers of cigarettes and content by using the modeling tools can improve students' knowledge of Class IX SMP Negeri 13 Banda Aceh on the respiratory system and knowledge about the dangers of cigarettes.

Abstract

Spesies dan morfologi talus Lichen yang terdapat di Taman Hutan Raya (TAHURA) Pocut Meurah Intan Kabupaten Aceh Besar belum teridentifikasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui spesies dan tipe morfologi talus Lichen yang terdapat di Taman Hutan Raya Pocut Meurah Intan Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode survey (eksploratif) yang dilakukan di dua stasiun penelitian, yaitu di kawasan Vegetasi Pinus dan Akasia. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif disajikan dalam tabel dan gambar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat 38 Spesies Lichen yang termasuk dalam 27 famili. Tipe morfologi talus yang ditemukan di Stasiun I (kawasan Vegetasi Pinus) adalah tipe morfologi talus crustose, foliose, squamulose dan fruticose, sedangkan di stasiun II (Kawasan Vegetasi Akasia) ditemukan tipe morfologi talus crustose dan squamulose. Crustose adalah tipe talus yang umum dimiliki oleh spesies Lichen yang ditemukan.

Abstract

Geloina erosa as one of Bivalve species has growth and development comprising the proliferation of the shell length, volume, and body weight. Generally, the growth of G. erosa has negative allometric, isometric and  positive allometric fashion. This encourages the study of G. erosa living in the region of mangrove ecosystem of west-coast of Aceh Besar. The objectives of the research are to determine the growth pattern of shell length against body weight as well as the growth pattern of shell length against its total body weight. The research was conducted from February 2006 to January 2007 in the region of mangrove ecosystem of west-coast of Aceh Besar. The region was divided into three different locations. Each location was set a sample square with 10m x 10m in size which was perpendicular to coastal lines. There were 10 sub-squares also set in every sample square with 50cm x 50cm in size. Sample collection in the sub-square was carried out by scratching and disturbing the bottom of the waters in order to sieve them. G. erosa was then measured for its shell length, body weight, and total body weight. The growth pattern was analyzed by using Excel program and t-test. The result showed that a negative allometric growth pattern was found in the measurement of shell length against total body weight of G. erosa, whereas an isometric pattern was found of the measurement of shell length against its body weight. Moreover, a positive allometric pattern was figured out in the measurement of shell length against total body weight. The proliferation of shell length, body weight and total body weight has contributed approximately 58% to 59%. This indicates that the growth pattern of G. erosa in the region of mangrove ecosystem of west-coast of Aceh Besar has negative allometric, isometric and positive allometric fashion.

Abstract

The sea has essential component for human cultures and it’s highly related to other ecosystems. Plankton is the essential food resource of fish in the sea ecosystem. The living of plankton is influenced by various factors, such as waste industrial discard. Some big industries have been exploited the sea as a liquid waste discard place, include PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) and PT. Asean Aceh Fertilizer (AAF) in North Aceh, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province. The objective of this research is to determine plankton diversity index. The research was conducted at 3 location:  (1) PT. PIM outlet, (2) PT. AAF outlet, and (3) in the middle of lagoon. The data was analyzed by diversity index of Shannon Wienner. Diversity  index  of  plankton  at  both  liquid waste discard PT. PIM and PT. AAF showed high level diversity.

Abstract

Limbah ikan banyak yang terbuang dengan percuma, padahal limbah ikan masih mengandung sejumlah protein. Protein tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan kembali dengan cara menghidrolisis limbah ikan menjadi hidrolisat protein ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari sifat fisikokimia hidrolisat protein ikan yang diperoleh dengan hidrolisis menggunakan enzim. protease alcalase dan flavourzyme. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hidrolisat protein ikan yang menggunakan enzim alcalase mempunyai kandungan protein yang lebih tinggi, kadar abu lebih rendah serta warna yang lebih gelap dibandingkan hidrolisat protein ikan yang menggunakan enzim flavourzyme.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the types of plants is utilized by the society in Pidie for skin disease drug. Data collected by Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and purposive sampling. Research object are tuha peut, healer, adolescents: 17-20 years, adults: 21-40 years, and the elderly: 60 years. The data were analyzed descriptively. Parameters measured were the types of medicinal plants, how to use medicinal plants. The result showed 57 species of plant are classified into 37 parts used as drug by the people of Pidie. The conclusion of this research is the species of plant most widely used as drug by the society of Pidie based on famili of Anacardiaceae and Euphorbiaceae.
