Abstract

This study aims to examine differences in financial management quality among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Makassar City based on business type, namely trade, service, and processing industry. This research employed a quantitative comparative design involving 200 MSME actors, selected using a non-probability purposive sampling technique based on respondent eligibility and relevance to the research objectives. Financial management quality was measured using eight indicators: financial transaction recording, separation of personal and business finances, budgeting practice, periodic financial planning, cash flow monitoring, cost control, simple income statement preparation, and financial report-based decision-making. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, homogeneity testing, One-Way Analysis of Variance, and Tukey HSD post hoc test. The findings show that financial management quality among MSMEs in Makassar City was generally categorized as good across all business types. Processing industry MSMEs obtained the highest average score, followed by service MSMEs and trade MSMEs. The strongest indicator was the separation of personal and business finances, while simple income statement preparation remained relatively weaker. The comparative test revealed that only cash flow monitoring differed significantly across business types, particularly between trade and processing industry MSMEs. These findings indicate that business type partially differentiates financial management quality, especially in cash flow monitoring. Therefore, MSME financial development programs should be adjusted to the operational characteristics of each business type.

Abstract

The psychological well-being of migrant students represents a critical yet underexplored dimension of people management in higher education. As universities increasingly enroll students from diverse geographic backgrounds, understanding and strategically managing student psychological well-being has become an important institutional responsibility. This study aimed to describe the psychological well-being of migrant management students at the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Makassar, and to examine its implications for people management in higher education. A quantitative descriptive design was employed, with respondents selected through purposive sampling. Psychological well-being was measured using Ryff’s Scale of Psychological Well-Being, which covers autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, positive relations with others, purpose in life, and self-acceptance. The instrument testing indicated that all items were valid, while the reliability result demonstrated acceptable internal consistency. Descriptive analysis revealed that the overall psychological well-being of migrant management students was categorized as high. Self-acceptance emerged as the strongest dimension, whereas autonomy was identified as the lowest dimension and remained within the moderate category. These findings suggest that migrant management students generally demonstrate positive psychological well-being; however, targeted managerial interventions are still needed, particularly to strengthen autonomy and self-directed decision-making. This study contributes to the development of student human capital management discourse and provides an empirical basis for designing student support programs in Indonesian higher education institutions.

Abstract

This quantitative study examines the influence of teachers’ interpersonal communication competence on the learning satisfaction of Generation Z students in Indonesia in the digital era. Employing an explanatory research design, this study used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze data collected from 50 students selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that teachers’ interpersonal communication competence has a positive, strong, and statistically significant effect on students’ learning satisfaction (β = 0.745, t = 6.440, p < 0.001). The model explains 55.5% of the variance in learning satisfaction, indicating a substantial explanatory power. In addition, the effect size value (f² = 1.247) demonstrates that interpersonal communication competence has a large practical contribution to students’ satisfaction with the learning process. The most prominent dimensions of teacher communication behavior are supportiveness and equality, reflected in teachers’ ability to act as approachable facilitators, provide timely and constructive feedback, and avoid rigid one-way communication patterns. These findings suggest that interpersonal communication remains essential in digital learning contexts, particularly for Generation Z students who expect responsive, inclusive, and interactive learning environments. Therefore, schools should strengthen teachers’ interpersonal and digital communication skills through continuous professional development programs to improve the quality, stability, and effectiveness of teaching and learning.

Abstract

Psychological empowerment has become an important concept in organizational behavior because it reflects employees’ perceptions of work meaning, competence, autonomy, and influence over work outcomes. In modern organizations, psychological empowerment is essential for improving employee motivation, engagement, creativity, well-being, and performance, especially in dynamic work environments. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of employee psychological empowerment studies in order to map the development of the field, identify dominant research trends, reveal research gaps, and analyze organizational impacts generated from existing studies. This research used a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from Google Scholar using Publish or Perish 8 and 35 articles published between 2020 and 2026 were selected for analysis. The data were exported in RIS and analyzed with VOSviewer through co-authorship and co-occurrence.  The findings show that psychological empowerment is the central keyword connecting research dominan themes, including work engagement, structural empowerment, employee creativity, transformational leadership, job satisfaction, employee well-being, ethical leadership, self-efficacy, job performance, psychological safety, and emotional exhaustion. The trend indicates a shift from structural and attitudinal studies toward performance, creativity, engagement, retention, and psychological safety. Research gaps remain in longitudinal studies, digital work contexts, cross-cultural comparisons, gender differences, and mental health interventions. Organizationally, psychological empowerment contributes to productivity, innovation, employee well-being, and long-term sustainability.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of principals' transformational leadership on teachers' work motivation in the digital era, with readiness for change as an intervening variable. Amidst the increasingly massive demands of digital transformation in education, it is crucial for schools to understand the factors that influence teachers' work motivation to maintain the quality of learning. Data were collected through a survey involving 75 teachers in Enrekang Regency who are facing the dynamics of technology adaptation. The analysis method used was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), which allows researchers to test the relationship between variables simultaneously. The results show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant influence on teachers' work motivation, and readiness for change acts as a mediator that mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and teachers' work motivation in the digital era. These findings emphasize the importance of enhancing transformational leadership capacity to not only encourage technology adoption but also improve teachers' mental readiness and work motivation.

Abstract

The growth of digital media has transformed the way individuals access information, share experiences, and engage in discussions related to self-development and career growth. Among various digital platforms, YouTube podcasts have emerged as popular sources of informal learning and personal reflection. This study explored audience perspectives on self-development and career growth through comments posted on the SUARA BERKELAS podcast on YouTube. The data consisted of 704 audience comments collected using a web scraping technique. Text preprocessing was conducted through case folding, cleaning, tokenization, and stopword removal. Subsequently, bigram analysis and Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling were applied to identify dominant discussion themes. The findings reveal five major themes: social reflection and national issues, life aspirations and future goals, youth self-development, motivation and life struggles, and concerns about the future. These themes indicate that audiences perceive the podcast not only as a source of entertainment but also as a medium for learning, self-reflection, and career development. The coherence score of 0.44 suggests that the topic model demonstrates acceptable consistency in representing audience discussions. This study highlights the role of digital podcasts in shaping audience perspectives on personal growth and career-related issues in contemporary society.

Abstract

This study describes the return performance of selected healthcare stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the post-pandemic period. Using a quantitative descriptive design, monthly stock returns were calculated from closing prices for January 2021 to December 2025 and analyzed using mean, minimum, maximum, standard deviation, and cumulative return. The sample consists of eight healthcare-related firms representing pharmaceuticals, herbal and consumer health products, hospitals, and diagnostic services: KLBF, SIDO, TSPC, MIKA, HEAL, SILO, PRDA, and SAME. The results show heterogeneous return characteristics across firms. SILO records the highest mean monthly return at 3.00%, followed by SAME at 1.91%, HEAL at 1.56%, and TSPC at 1.34%. In contrast, SIDO and KLBF show negative average returns, while MIKA is nearly neutral. Risk dispersion is also evident: SAME, PRDA, and SILO exhibit the highest standard deviations, whereas TSPC records the lowest volatility. These findings indicate that healthcare stocks retain defensive relevance after the pandemic but are not homogeneous in risk-return behavior. The study provides an empirical descriptive profile for investors and academics without making causal claims.
