Abstract

The rapid expansion of short-form video platforms has reshaped the way audiences engage with digital entertainment. Among these formats, short-form drama has emerged as a distinctive narrative genre characterized by episodic storytelling within brief viewing durations. Despite its increasing popularity, empirical research explaining the psychological mechanisms underlying Continuous Viewing Intention in short-form drama remains limited. This study investigates the influence of Viewing Motivation on Flow Experience and Continuous Viewing Intention. In this study, Viewing Motivation is conceptualized as a higher-order construct comprising Performance Expectancy, Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, Habit, Substitute Expectancy, and Aesthetic Motivation. Data were collected through an online survey involving 140 respondents in Makassar who actively consume short-form drama content. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that Viewing Motivation significantly influences both Flow Experience and Continuous Viewing Intention. Furthermore, Flow Experience significantly affects Continuous Viewing Intention and mediates the relationship between Viewing Motivation and Continuous Viewing Intention. These findings underscore the importance of motivational drivers and immersive viewing experiences in fostering sustained engagement with short-form drama content

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an essential role in supporting local economic growth, employment creation, and business resilience in Indonesia. However, many MSMEs still face challenges in implementing systematic financial management practices, particularly in financial recording, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting. This study aims to describe the quality of financial management among MSMEs in Makassar City based on respondents’ answers. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach involving 150 MSME actors as respondents. The population was categorized as unknown, and the sample was selected using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and category interpretation. The findings indicate that the overall quality of financial management among MSMEs in Makassar City is in the good category, with an average score of 3.88. The strongest aspect is the separation of personal and business finances, while the weakest aspect is the preparation of simple income statements. These results show that MSME actors have developed basic financial discipline but still need improvement in structured financial reporting. The study implies that MSME development programs should strengthen practical bookkeeping, income statement preparation, cash flow analysis, and evidence-based financial decision-making to support business sustainability.

Abstract

Financial literacy among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise owners is a critical determinant of business sustainability, particularly in dynamic urban business environments. This study examines the financial literacy profile of MSME owners in Makassar City, Indonesia, using a descriptive quantitative research design grounded in Financial Behavior Theory. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire measuring financial record-keeping literacy, personal and business financial separation, profit and loss literacy, cash flow management literacy, financial planning literacy, financial decision-making literacy, financial statement literacy, and financial risk literacy. The research instrument was tested and confirmed to be valid and reliable before being used for the main analysis. The findings show that the financial literacy of MSME owners in Makassar City is generally in the high category. Personal and business financial separation, as well as financial record-keeping literacy, emerged as the strongest dimensions, indicating that MSME owners tend to recognize the importance of financial discipline and transaction documentation in maintaining business continuity. However, cash flow management and financial risk literacy remain relatively weaker dimensions, suggesting that practical financial behavior is not yet consistently implemented across all aspects of business financial management. These findings indicate that MSME owners may possess adequate conceptual understanding of financial literacy, but still require stronger operational capability in managing liquidity, anticipating financial risks, and using financial information for sustainable business decisions. This study contributes empirical insight into MSME financial literacy in Makassar City and highlights the need for more contextualized financial literacy interventions within the broader Eastern Indonesian MSME ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to describe human resource competence in financial management among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) actors in Makassar City. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed using a structured questionnaire distributed to MSME owners and managers who were directly involved in managing business finances. The research instrument measured eight indicators of financial management competence, namely knowledge of business financial management, ability to record financial transactions, ability to prepare financial planning, cash-flow management skills, ability to control business expenditures, discipline in managing business finances, responsibility for financial decision-making, and willingness to improve financial management competence. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean score, and category interpretation. The validity and reliability tests confirmed that all questionnaire items were valid and reliable. The findings show that MSME actors in Makassar City generally have a high level of perceived competence in financial management. The strongest aspects were willingness to improve financial management competence and responsibility for financial decision-making, indicating positive learning orientation and financial accountability among MSME actors. However, financial planning and cash-flow management require further strengthening. The study implies that MSME development programs should focus not only on general financial literacy, but also on practical training in bookkeeping, cash-flow planning, budgeting, expenditure control, and simple digital financial applications.

Abstract

Turnover intention among seafarers is a strategic challenge for the global maritime industry, particularly for Indonesia, one of the major suppliers of maritime labor. Indonesian seafarers are vulnerable to turnover intention because maritime work is commonly characterized by contract-based employment, prolonged family separation, psychological isolation, occupational hazards, limited welfare support, and uncertain career pathways. Although previous studies have examined seafarers’ well-being, fatigue, job satisfaction, and retention, limited systematic evidence has integrated perceived organizational support (POS), turnover intention, and Indonesian seafarers within the perspective of Maritime Human Resource Management (MHRM). This article presents a Systematic Literature Review conducted according to PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Relevant literature was identified from Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Emerald, SpringerLink, Taylor & Francis, Wiley Online Library, SAGE Journals, PubMed, Google Scholar, Garuda, and SINTA. Guided by Organizational Support Theory, the review synthesizes evidence across seven themes: organizational support and seafarer retention, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, work-family conflict, welfare and safety support, career development, and MHRM retention practices. The findings show that higher perceived organizational support is consistently associated with lower turnover intention through increased job satisfaction, stronger organizational commitment, psychological well-being, and trust in the organization. Turnover intention among Indonesian seafarers is therefore not merely an individual decision, but a systemic outcome shaped by organizational support, contract fairness, welfare provision, safety protection, and career opportunities. The study extends Organizational Support Theory to the maritime context and offers practical guidance for shipping companies, crewing agencies, maritime HR managers, and Indonesian regulators in strengthening seafarer retention strategies.
