Abstract

Social assistance is a central instrument of social protection policy aimed at reducing poverty and improving household welfare, yet empirical evidence shows that its effectiveness in producing sustainable welfare outcomes remains inconsistent: some households achieve lasting improvement while others remain vulnerable despite receiving aid regularly. This article aims to develop a conceptual model explaining how social assistance can be transformed into sustainable household welfare through financial literacy and economic empowerment. Using a qualitative library research approach in the form of a conceptual paper, the study synthesizes theories and prior findings from reputable scholarly journals, academic books, international institutional reports, and government policy documents, analyzed through content analysis and narrative synthesis. The results show that social assistance should not be viewed as the end goal of welfare policy, but as an initial instrument that must be integrated with financial literacy and economic empowerment. Based on this synthesis, the article proposes the Integrated Household Welfare Transformation Model (IHWTM), a conceptual model explaining the transformation process from social assistance to sustainable household welfare. The model is expected to enrich social protection theory and serve as a reference for designing more adaptive, productive, and sustainable welfare policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of digital currency systems by waqf institutions on public trust and its impact on waqf intentions. This thinking is based on the premise that public trust in waqf institutions can be strengthened through the application of technology that facilitates transactions and information access, thus strengthening public intentions to make waqf. It is necessary to examine whether digital currency systems significantly influence public trust in waqf programs and impact waqf intentions. This research methodology is quantitative explanatory, with primary data from questionnaires from respondents from various provinces in Indonesia and secondary data from relevant literature studies. The analysis was conducted to evaluate the relationship between the use of digital currency systems and public trust and to identify factors that influence public intentions to make waqf. The results of SEM-PLS testing at the pilot study level with 52 respondents from various cities in Indonesia indicate that digital currency systems, particularly accessibility (ease of use) and system security, influence public trust. The ease and security factors also directly influence waqf intentions. Trust also plays a role in increasing waqf intentions, both as a mediator and as a reinforcement of waqf intentions due to digital system factors. This research can enrich the digital waqf literature, contribute to the development of a sharia-compliant digital currency system, serve as a reference for waqf institutions in implementing a digital currency system, and encourage community participation in waqf. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the eco-pesantren concept in integrating green economy principles at Pondok Pesantren Baitul Hikmah Tempurejo, Jember. Environmental degradation, climate change, and socioeconomic inequality have increased the need for sustainable development based on Islamic values, where humans are regarded as khalifah fil-ardh with the responsibility to preserve nature. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, documentation, and source triangulation to ensure credibility. The findings indicate that the eco-pesantren program effectively integrates environmental education into the pesantren curriculum, promotes waste management practices, and develops students’ entrepreneurial skills through the Santri Tani Milenial program. Green products, including organic agricultural products and recycled goods, contribute to strengthening the pesantren’s economic independence while equipping students with practical competencies in environmentally friendly agribusiness. Furthermore, partnerships with local communities, government institutions, and business stakeholders support the sustainability of green enterprises by providing financial assistance, technical guidance, and market access. These findings demonstrate that the eco-pesantren model offers a sustainable framework for integrating Islamic education, environmental stewardship, and local economic development.

Abstract

This study analyzes the ratio decidendi in Surabaya District Court Decision No. 36/Pdt.G/2023/PN Sby and identifies gaps in legal protection in the enforcement of Mortgage Rights. It employs normative juridical legal research using statutory, case, and conceptual approaches. Legal materials are analyzed qualitatively, systematically, and prescriptively through factual reconstruction, identification of the ratio decidendi, assessment based on theories of justice and Mortgage Rights, and mapping of the Judicial Protection Gap. The findings show that the Panel of Judges recognized the validity of the credit agreement and the Mortgage Right but considered that the debtor's payment delay could not be fully attributed to the debtor because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Restructuring was positioned as a mechanism that should be assessed before the auction continued; consequently, the court postponed enforcement and directed the parties to renegotiate. Although oriented toward substantive justice, the decision does not provide adequate parameters regarding proof of force majeure, the scope of restructuring obligations, the duration of postponement, interest and penalties, maintenance of the collateral, the status of the security right, renewal of auction documents, or the conditions for renewed enforcement. This study proposes a conditional-postponement model that preserves the Mortgage Right while requiring a measurable restructuring process, explicit risk allocation, and clear conditions for ending the postponement. The study contributes by integrating ratio decidendi analysis with the Judicial Protection Gap framework to assess both the quality and enforceability of judicial protection.

Abstract

The implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investments often causes short-term profitability declines in corporations. This normative-juridical research aims to analyze directors' legal protection against such financial risks through the Business Judgment Rule (BJR) doctrine. The findings conclude that BJR excludes directors' personal liability provided the decision meets key procedural parameters: good faith, absence of conflict of interest, informed decision-making, and proper purpose. Short-term profit decline is reconstructed as a legitimate business risk for corporate longevity rather than managerial negligence, provided it is free from greenwashing

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of Leader-Member Exchange and Perceived Organizational Support on the Job Performance of lecturers at private higher education institutions in DKI Jakarta, with Psychological Stress as a mediator and Organizational Commitment as a moderator. The study is motivated by the increasing work demands faced by lecturers in teaching, scientific publication, accreditation, community service, academic administration, and adaptation to digital systems. This research employed an explanatory quantitative approach with a survey design. The sample consisted of 200 private university lecturers selected through convenience sampling, with the criterion that respondents were active lecturers at private higher education institutions in DKI Jakarta. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. The research model comprised five main constructs, one interaction term, and 39 indicators. The measurement model evaluation showed that all indicators met the criteria for convergent validity, construct reliability, and discriminant validity. The R Square values were 0.388 for Psychological Stress and 0.622 for Job Performance. The structural model testing indicated that Psychological Stress, Leader-Member Exchange, and Perceived Organizational Support had positive effects on Job Performance. Leader-Member Exchange and Perceived Organizational Support also had positive effects on Psychological Stress. Psychological Stress was found to mediate the effects of Leader-Member Exchange and Perceived Organizational Support on Job Performance. Organizational Commitment did not moderate the relationship between Psychological Stress and Job Performance, but it remained significant as a direct predictor. This study recommends strengthening academic leadership, organizational support, and productive work stress management to improve lecturer performance..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the condition of financial distress as an indicator of financial performance for agricultural sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, utilizing secondary data—specifically the financial statements of agricultural sector companies—obtained from the official IDX website and the companies' own financial reports. The analysis utilized the CA-Score model, which assesses financial condition based on the ratios of shareholders' investment to assets, earnings before tax and financial expenses to assets, and sales to assets. The results indicate that among the 12 sampled companies, three (25%)—Daya Guna Samudra Tbk. (DGSA), Nusa Palapa Gemilang Tbk. (NPGF), and Jaya Agra Wattie Tbk. (JAWA)—recorded CA-Score values above 0.30, thereby categorizing them as experiencing financial distress. Meanwhile, the remaining nine companies (75%) fell into the non-financial distress category. The findings suggest that while the majority of agricultural sector companies maintain a relatively sound financial condition, certain companies require attention regarding the improvement of profitability, asset utilization efficiency, and capital structure management to minimize the risk of future financial distress.

Abstract

Persistent job insecurity marks the experience of many contract workers in the hospitality industry, as their agreements tend to be short and are repeatedly renewed without a clear trajectory toward permanent status. This paper traces how legal protection for hotel contract workers actually operates under Law Number 6 of 2023 on Manpower, using human rights as its analytical lens, while mapping the obstacles and possible remedies involved. The study was conducted through a sociological-juridical method, combining normative review with field data gathered from interviews with contract employees at Hotel Grasia Semarang, supplemented by literature review. The data collected reveal that although the prevailing labor regulation is arguably adequate on paper, on-the-ground conditions fall well short of that ideal: contracts keep being extended without any clarity on eventual permanent hiring, workers lack a full grasp of the rights attached to their status, and their bargaining power sits well below that of hotel management. Viewed through a human rights lens, such conditions erode the right to decent work and the right to legal certainty guaranteed by the constitution. In closing, the paper proposes tighter labor inspection, ongoing dissemination of contract workers' rights, and reform of contract governance to better balance employer and worker interests.

Abstract

This study analyzes the accountability of PBB-P2 recording and the quality of financial information as part of sustainable village development based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study in Petudua Village, Tanggetada District, Kolaka Regency. Data were derived from observation, discussion, data-recording simulations, activity evaluation, and documentation involving 49 participants. The analysis focuses on taxpayer and tax-object data, revenue recording, transaction traceability, reporting, community understanding, and their relationship with financial accountability. The findings indicate that the quality of PBB-P2 recording is inseparable from the quality of taxpayer and tax-object data, administrative accuracy, staff capacity, and community understanding. Strengthening these processes can improve the reliability of financial information and reinforce accountability mechanisms. From an SDGs perspective, the strongest alignment is with SDG 16 on effective, accountable and transparent institutions and SDG 17 on domestic resource mobilization and partnerships. This study contributes an accounting perspective by positioning PBB-P2 not merely as a tax-collection issue but as a public transaction requiring documentation, recording, internal control, and accountable financial information. Because time-series revenue data, target-realization ratios, and arrears data were unavailable, the study does not claim a quantitative increase in revenue.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Environmental Accounting Information on investment decisions and to examine the role of overconfidence—as a psychological factor—in moderating this relationship among Generation Z investors. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a survey method involving 80 Generation Z investors selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the aid of SPSS. The results indicate that Environmental Accounting Information has a positive and significant effect on investment decisions, with a coefficient of 1.195 and a significance level of 0.000. Overconfidence also exerts a positive and significant influence on investment decisions, with a coefficient of 1.398 and a significance level of 0.000. Furthermore, the interaction between Environmental Accounting Information and overconfidence yielded a coefficient of -0.026 with a significance level of 0.003, demonstrating that overconfidence significantly weakens the impact of Environmental Accounting Information on investment decisions. These findings suggest that Generation Z investment decisions are influenced not only by available information but also by the investors' psychological characteristics in interpreting and utilizing that information. This study reinforces the behavioral finance perspective that psychological biases can influence investor responses to corporate information.
