Abstract

This research examines the encyclical Mulieris Dignitatem and its implications for women's dignity and gender equality. The research utilizes library materials as the primary source of data and references. Mulieris Dignitatem emphasizes that both men and women are created in the image of God and have inherent dignity. This concept of women's dignity is relevant in addressing issues of discrimination, domestic violence, and limited rights for women in politics and society, particularly in relation to Catholic values. Furthermore, the concept of women's dignity can serve as an inspiration to empower women in various domains of life, including the family, church, and society. Overall, Mulieris Dignitatem provides a foundation for evaluating and addressing gender inequality while promoting women's rights and roles in different aspects of life. Abstract

Understanding and implementing Catholic Tradition is essential for a Misdinar. This research focuses on examining the comprehension and application of Catholic Tradition by Misdinar members at St. Athanasius Agung Karangpanas Church in Semarang, the Faith Formation, especially regarding Catholic Tradition within Misdinar, and the role of parents also the Parish Priest in participating in the Faith Formation of Misdinars. This research was conducted in May 2023 at St. Athanasius Agung Karangpanas Church, Semarang, using triangulation techniques to gather data. The findings reveal that Misdinar members understand about Catholic Tradition and can apply it effectively. Faith Formation for Misdinars has proven effective for nurturing faith, particularly in Catholic Tradition, through training, teachings about Catholic Tradition, group prayers, and devotions at Misdinar community. Nonetheless, the study recommends variations in carrying out Faith Formation to prevent Misdinar from feeling bored. Furthermore, the involvement of parents and the Parish Priest have a important role for faith formation of Adolescent. Further efforts are needed to increase their participation in supporting the Faith Formation for Misdinar. In conclusion, the cooperation of the entire church community is essential in accompanying the Misdinar faith and their ability to be role models in the wider church community. Abstract

Laws are created and develops with humans, so that law is a product of ideas, thought patterns, views of life, beliefs and habits which are used as a normative standard which contains provisions and prohibitions to regulate and organize human life in order to create in society. In primordial forms of human life, law has been used even though it is still verbal, and limited in is application. When humans enter to the state life, law is used as a state tool/instrument to guarantee wider public order. Law is a means of control or social control that has supremacy so that it must be obeyed by all in society. Problems often arise when law is no longer an instrument of the state to create collective order, but it’s used by a group of people (oligarchy) as a political vehicle to protect their personal or group interests. Abstract

This study discusses the meaning of the Eucharistic Celebration as a Celebration of Love for a Catholic family who lives in the parish of St. Joseph Rumah Tiga. This title was taken based on the anxiety that the author experienced while attending the Eucharist celebration where many Catholics today have started not participating in the Eucharistic celebration. This may be due to a lack of understanding of the meaning of the Eucharist itself, and the author feels that all aspects of the life of the faithful are first and foremost in the family where he is educated. With the research method, the research seeks to find out how the people's understanding of the Eucharist celebration itself is and the extent of its influence on the family life of the faithful who live in the parish of St. Joseph Rumah Tiga. And after conducting a series of research in this thesis, it was found that it is not uncommon to be bored in the Eucharistic Celebration itself but this does not reduce the understanding and meaning of the faith of the Catholic family in the parish towards the importance of the Eucharist. most of the families are quite good at understanding and interpreting the Eucharistic Celebration, so that what the author experienced was not carried out by the whole family who lives in the St. Joseph Parish, Rumah Tiga. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to trace the sources of Luke 4:4 and its variants in order to provide a relevant explanation for believers in interpreting Luke 4:4. The research method used in this paper is the library research. This research examines more on old literature that contains relevant studies, namely early text, original or oldest text that became the source of writing the Scriptures. In particular, this research attends the stages of biblical text criticism which includes four stages, namely verbal criticism, external criticism, internal criticism, and rational criticism. This research finds that the short version of Luke 4:4 is really the writing of the evangelist Luke. It is sourced from the oldest manuscript in 253 fromOrigenes and several well-known manuscripts such as ℵ 01 or Codex Sinaiticus (4th century), B 03 orCodex Vaticanus (4th century) and W 032 or Codex Washingtonianus (5th century). The research alsodiscovers that scribes intentionally create variants of Luke 4:4 are similar to Matthew 4:4 to facilitate the understanding of the text. Lastly, this study encounters that Luke 4:4 variants comes from secondary language manuscripts, Matthew 4:4 and Deuteronomy 8:3. Abstract

This paper is an attempt of doing theology in the context of our socio-cultural conditions today. The main idea of this article is that faith and culture are closely related. Faith is never arise from or be separated from culture. Faith is expressed in a culture which is a form of a religion. The synthesis between faith and culture is not only a demand of culture but also a demand of faith. Because, faith itself cannot be fully accepted, cannot be entirely understood and will not faithfully lived, if it is separated from culture.

Abstract

This paper is an exegetical effort to explore the novelty dimension of the New Commanment Jesus proclaimed in the Gospel of John, which is to love one another. Since early, such a command has been internalized and implemented within the Israelities. They are always asked to love their neighbours as they love themselves. Jesus repromulgates this command to His disciples. Thus, we might ask, what exactly the novely of the command to love one another?

Abstract

Tulisan ini hendak menjawab pertanyaan sentral: apakah di dalam pelaksanaan Liturgi ada unsur-unsur katekese. Apakah liturgi hanya berurusan dengan menjalin hubungan antara Allah dan manusia: Allah yang “turun” ke atas manusia dan melimpahkan karuniaNya ke atasnya, sedangkan manusia yang “menaikkan” berbagai corak doa kepada Allah serta para orang kudus? Ternyata – pada menyelidiki sejumlah acara liturgi – de facto dalam pelaksanaan liturgi, terdapatlah unsur-unsur katekese, bukan hanya untuk menjelaskan liturgi itu sendiri, melainkan juga katekese secara lebih “umum.” Dalam liturgi, katekese itu disodorkan dalam suatu konteks berupa pujian dan pertobatan, rahmat dan hiburan.

Abstract

This paper presents a biblical-theological significance of the Church building. The central idea is to maintain a Chuch building as a home to the faithful in order to celebrate the liturgy. One role of a Church building is to present an image of the Church as the Temple of the human and natural levels. This suggests that the mystery of the Church as the People of God becomes visivle within the limits of space and time. In its function as a place of worship of the people, thye Chuch gains its true identity

Abstract

The purpose of Christian education is to bear human quality in all its apects. This paper is the a reflection of the situation of Catholic education in the Diocese of Amboina. It argues that the diocese has implemented the call and mission to be a sacrament of God’s salvation to the world through the work of education within families and the Catholic Schools, yet, it still need to be addressed and improved in the future. Then, what should be done? In this context, it needs a cooperation of all parties to reform the existing management of the Catholic Schools in order to bear a quality of human and Christian persons.
