Abstract

It is undeniable that teacher plays an important role in not only transfer of knowlede, but also forming the students to be human in all his dimention. Recently Indonesia gives special attention to teachers because of his role in human formation. In His earthly life Jesus is always entitled as teacher, even as the greatest teacher. People ini his time always call him teacher. His way of teaching is really apreciated. He knew very well his students or everyone came to him asking for his opinion or his teaching. His teaching depended on whom he met. To the one who is stone headed, Jesus gives strong respong, but to the one who is meek, he sometimes opens mind for dialogue. For christian religious teachers or cathecists, Jesus is always seen as an exemplary teacher. Therefore in this writing his way of teaching will be analysed based on the pericope of Luke 10:25-30 in order to express his manner of teaching that will become the example for teachers in this modern era.The key words: teacher, learning, the way of teaching.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the appearance of indigenous revivalism is equivalent to a number of unequal treatments at the local stage such as land seizure of idigenous lands to be coverted intothe consession of national development; this includes the conversions of negeri adat (indigenous villages) in Ambon which is the main locust of this study. The intention of indigenous revivalism is to struggle for native values and regain equality which were neglectedduring the New Order Regime and unfortunately has rooted in the discourse of power. The indigenous euphoria in this reformation era as a matter of fact did not meet with the challengesof native values, instead it is somehow stuck in the local political importances by making bureaucratization, managerialization, and/or administration of native values. Its consequence is that of ethnical projections. The indigenous revivalism discourse has changed into therevivalism discourse of ethnical identity. In that context, specialy of the revival indigenous discourse in Ambon, I would like to discuss three main issue, namely genealogy, powerrelation, and subjectivity. Discussion about the third issue will use the method of critical discourse analysis of Michel Foucault. Keywords: indigenous revivalism, indigenous villages, genealogy, power relation, and subjectivity.

Abstract

The focus of this paper is to discuss the catechesis of the Catholic Church on marriagecharacterized by monogamy and lifelong according to the Code of Canon Law, No. 1056. In essence, marriage has the characteristics of being sacred, monogamous, and lifelong. These characteristics or traits of marriage are not only owned by the Catholic Church, but all religions in the world have the same characteristics. The author argues that the main causes of marital disharmony are breaking marital vows and not forgiving each other. The Catholic Church reiterates that if there is a misunderstanding from one of the spouses, they should forgive, love and forgive each other. Jesus Christ himself has taught to forgive each other, but the Catholic faithful cannot live and follow the example of Jesus Christ. The two methodologies used in writing this article are phenomenological and text analysis. In understanding the characteristics of marriage in the Catholic Church, the author uses Scripture, the Church document Gaudium Et Spes, the Familiaris Consortio document, the magisterium: Encyclical Humanae Vitae, and the Code of Canon Law. In addition, the author uses references from books and journals that are directly related to the theme of this article. The findings conveyed from the writing of this article are that it contains an invitation, namely how to live a marriage characterized by monogamy (unitas) and for life. Indeed, these characteristics of marriage have been written in the Old Testament (OT) and fulfilled by Jesus in the NT. So man cannot deny the statements of the Holy Scriptures and it has become the law of his nature. The author affirms that a valid and normal Catholic marriage is between a man and a woman. Key Words: Marriage; Catholic Marriage; Monogamy; Lifetime

This study aims to determine the role of the Kei people's philosophy of life, "ain ni ain," in supporting the implementation of religious moderation and national commitment among the people of the Kei Islands. The results of this study indicate that the contribution of "ain ni ain" in supporting national commitment and religious moderation precedes the existence of religious and state regulations in the lives of the Kei people. Thus, "ain ni ain" serves as a guiding principle for the people of Kei to coexist and accept one another. The philosophy of life, "ain ni ain," has been interpreted and embraced by every people of Kei as a guiding principle that fosters harmony and opposes violence, resulting in a harmonious and non-violent way of life among the Kei people in line with the philosophy of "ain ni ain."
