This study finds empirical evidence of a significant negative relationship between religiosity dimension and Muslim women’s behavior toward fashion in Indonesia. This study uses a survey method utilizing questionnaires that were distributed to some universities in Jakarta and West Java. Using a purposive sampling technique, the collected data are 165 questionnaires. The measurement variables of religiosity dimensions in this study are adapted from Glock (1972) and consist of five different dimensions including ideology, intellectual, ritualistic, experiential, and consequential. The measurement of Muslim women’s behavior toward fashion is adapted from Farrag and Hassan (2015). All collected questionnaires are analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The relationship is around 15% - 29%. Ideological and ritualistic dimensions have a strong negative correlation (29%), consequential (28%), intellectual (23%) and experiential (15%).Keywords: religiosity, religiosity dimensions, Muslim women’s behavior, fashion.

Upholding the rule of law remains a serious challenge in Indonesia, that law enforcement should be carried out based on the principle of legality, included in the calculation of financial loss to the state in law enforcement against corruption. Certainty calculation of losses to the state is difficult to be achieved because of disharmony some regulations in the definition, the process and subjectivity in determining the method of calculation of losses to the state. Conflicts of some regulations makes law enforcement became ineffective, inefficient and inconsistent. This research aims to investigate the principles of law in the calculation of financial loss to the state to overcome conflicting regulations. This research is juridical normative. The data used are related regulations and court verdicts. This research use statue approach and conceptual approach. This research found that disharmony of regulations in the calculation of financial loss to the state can be solved with lex superiori derogat legi inferiori and lex specialis derogat legi generali.

Ragpickers (or pemulung) move from one location to another to collect garbage. This study was conducted with an objective to analysis the movement and location selection decision of ragpickers in Depok City, Indonesia. This qualitative based research was carried on 10 working sites of ragpickers located in 3 sub-districts (kecamatan) in Depok City. Data was collected through observation and in-depth interviews with 13 selected ragpickers. Secondary data was obtained from 2014 land use map of Depok, demography report and waste management regulation in Depok Government. The data was analyzed by using qualitative data method. This study found that ragpickers determine main location and alternative locations. Their working location selection is decided based on some factors i.e. location characteristics and individual preferences. The location characteristics are the operational time of the waste picker, the community's habit of choosing the waste, and the rules within the location. Meanwhile, the individual preferences are distance, time and competition among ragpickers. The choice of location is linked to gender identity and the length of ragpickers experience. This study also found that the more experienced ragpickers moved to landfills within certain times, whereas less experienced ragpickers choice different working location to avoid competition.

The objective of this paper is to review some researches on knowledge management, business environment as well as competitive strategies applied in small and middle companies that will provide best practices for the improvement of performance of coffee processing company in ASEAN. This study consists of systematic reviews of 17 empirical scientific papers in regard to knowledge management, business environment, and competitive strategies that influence the performance of coffee processing company in ASEAN. Given the importance of the existence of coffee processing company in Indonesia, the application of knowledge management has to be prioritized by the concerned companies in order to accelerate their competitive advantages. This paper provides a better understanding on how to develop good knowledge management application, industry environment as well as strengthen the competitive strategies specifically in coffee processing company by learning from other sectors. The result of this study is believed to give worth understanding about actual situation in this field of research. It proposed some notions that will stimulate more intensive researches in this field in the future. However, there are no systematic literatures in academic journal that cover all the topics discussed in this paper.

This research studies the translation shift in the word ‘Israel’. Word ‘Israel’ initially referred to the Prophet Ya’qub, but in the present, the meaning has shifted to the state of Israel in the association with colonizer and Zionist. This study aims to analyze chronological history of the shifting meaning of the word Israel and the discourse that was built in it. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive approach. The data contained in this research is sourced from mass media of Republika online was entitled "The Israeli Plane Attacked Syria" which was published on Tuesday, 9 December 2014. This study uses the approach of Critical Discourse Analysis model of Norman Fairclough (1995) and translation shift theory of Abdul Chaer (2014). Based on the headline, the authors successfully found 20 propositions. From the findings, the meaning of the word Israel in the news published by Republika online has undergone a shift in the overall field of meaning because Israel described in the online newspaper Republika no longer means a prophet Ya’qub with his prophetic properties, but Israel those who have war equipment and their actions are always trying to intimidate and occupy other countries around it.Keywords:critical discourse analysis, Israel, translation shift, newspaper.

The importance of the problem-solving ability is to develop students’ comprehension in searching way out of a problem exposed. Therefore, this study was designed to analyze a further study regarding to the students’ ability in solving mathematic problems related to graphs (function and straight line equation). Still, it aimed at figuring out certain factors causing the phenomenon. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh and the participants involved in it were eighth-grade students with two kinds of instruments used, i.e. test and interview. Data obtained through the tests were analyzed by utilizing PISA scoring system in which one true answer scored one (1) and both unsolved and false answer scored zero (0). The results, then, were summed up altogether and the percentage of students’ correct answer for each question was analyzed later on. The result of the test revealed that students’ ability in solving mathematics problems related to graphs was low. This phenomenon was caused by some factors such as inadequate primary knowledge, insufficient understanding and unfamiliarity with the questions. The objective of this study was to analyze the comparison of Acehnese perceptions towards the application of western democracy and Islamic democratic system or democracy containing Islamic values in Aceh based on political marketing approach. The study was done by the end of 2016 in Aceh Province (Indonesia) by using a qualitative approach. Samples were chosen based on purposive sampling as many as 22 people who understood democracy either theoretically or practically, then interviewed in depth at a separate place. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively by using the approach of political marketing theory. The study found some interesting findings, among others, first: the western democratic system was initially accepted by the people of Aceh but they were not satisfied with the performance of elected leaders through the western democratic system. Second, Islam has its own system of democracy applied through Ahlul Halli wal 'Aqdi. Third, the people of Aceh perceived positively to the democracy of Islam or democracy containing Islamic values because through such a democratic system was expected to be elected leader who truly represented the people of Aceh, a trustful leader, a leader who thought for all the people of Aceh instead of thinking only his party, a leader who executed sharia law in all aspects of Islam (kaffah), a leader who was really serious about eradicating corruption, and restoring Aceh to its prime-time glory. This type of leader will not be obtained through the application of western democratic system.

This study explains the Indonesian economy recently experienced a weakening or slowing in the first quarter of 2015 that showed economic growth of 4.7 percent. It is certainly believed to be caused by internal and external factors, which impacted on the Indonesian government spending either in 2015 or in 2016. This study uses time series data. Furthermore, stationary and cointegration tests were analyzed using multilevel regression model with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and an Error Correction Mechanism (ECM) model. The results of this study will determine the internal and external factors that strengthen or weaken the relationship between the economy and government spending in Indonesia. Thus, based on these findings, policy in overcoming economic difficulties can be determined and local and central government budget for 2016 can be established.

The purpose of this research is to describe effectiveness of the Corporate Responsibility Program (CSR) that has been implemented by Terminal BBM Pertamina Pematang Siantar. The type of this research is descriptive by using qualitative approaching. The effectiveness analyze of CSR which contains of two empowerment indicators: first accuracy of implementation of the mechanic motorcycles training with the participants from 16 mechanic motorcycles among Siantar and the second is planting trees for green area with the participants from 9 Adiwiyata Schools. According to the result of research done by using interview, observation and documentation so the researcher can conclude that effectiveness of empowerment program in the participants both micro, small enterprises and school committee growth have run effectively as well as the conclusion for objectives in the empowerment program can be proved from each indicator of the effectiveness. The recommendation for empowerment by Terminal BBM Pertamina Siantar is to evaluate the results of the training empowerment program that has been given for mechanic motorcycles as well as the improvement of planting trees for green area for sustainable development.

Asking questions is one of components in teacher talk. Some types of questions are posed by teachers to assess students’ understanding of learning materials. This paper presents the results of the investigation of the types of questions used by English as Foreign Language (EFL) teachers in teaching English for the second graders of a senior high school. The subject was a female teacher who teaches English at SMA Teuku Nyak Arif Fatih Bilingual School, Banda Aceh. This qualitative study was conducted employing six classroom observations (480 minutes) focusing on four types of questions (factual, empirical, productive and evaluative) based on Moore (2007). The results revealed that factual questions appeared to be the most dominant type employed by the teacher (59.9%), followed by evaluative (16.6%) and empirical (12.9%). Productive questions were the least occurrence from all types of questions applied, which is 10.7%.
