Abstract

Background: Emotional eating (EE) is an eating behavior influenced by emotional states and is increasingly reported among students, particularly in the context of academic pressure and changes in the socio-digital environment. Purpose: To synthesize evidence regarding the relationship between stress, psychosocial factors, emotional eating, and nutritional status among students in Indonesia. Method: This systematic review followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Articles published between 2021 and 2026 were identified through systematic searches across multiple databases and selected based on established inclusion criteria. A total of 35 quantitative studies involving 5,181 participants were included in the narrative synthesis. Methodological quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) instruments. Results: Of the 18 studies examining the relationship between stress and emotional eating, 16 (88.9%) reported a significant positive association, with correlation strengths ranging from weak to moderate (r = 0.14–0.45). Other psychosocial factors associated with emotional eating included emotion regulation, neuroticism, social media engagement, mindfulness, and exposure to “mukbang” content. Findings regarding the relationship between emotional eating and nutritional status were more varied; five of the nine studies reported a significant association with overweight or obesity, while four found no significant link. Additionally, emotional eating was consistently associated with unhealthy dietary patterns and increased consumption of energy-dense foods. Conclusion: Emotional eating is a common phenomenon among Indonesian students and is consistently associated with higher stress levels. Beyond stress, various psychological and social factors contribute to the occurrence of emotional eating. Although emotional eating tends to be linked to unhealthy dietary patterns, its association with overweight or obesity remains inconsistent.   Keywords: Academic Stress; Emotional Eating; Nutritional Status; Students.

Abstract

Background: Most sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in adolescents are similar to those in young adults. Adolescence is a phase of life when adolescents reach sexual maturity and begin to make decisions and choices regarding reproductive health. Several factors contribute to adolescents' vulnerability to STIs, including having sexual intercourse, engaging in same-sex sexual relations, and having more than one sexual partner. Common STIs in adolescents include chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, genital herpes, HIV/AIDS, genital warts, pubic lice, and trichomoniasis. Unprotected sexual intercourse among adolescents can have significant impacts. Therefore, it is crucial to provide education to adolescents using learning media through health education programs. Purpose: To identify the effect of health education videos on STI prevention behaviors in adolescents. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a control group. The sample consisted of 169 participants selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, while data processing was performed using SPSS software with the Wilcoxon test. This study was conducted in three private high schools in Bekasi City from June to July 2024. Results: This study obtained a p-value of 0.000 ≤ 0.005, indicating that health education videos influenced sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention behavior in adolescents. Conclusion: Health education videos were found to influence sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention behavior in adolescents. Abstract

Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia due to insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion, necessitating effective interventions to improve glycemic control and insulin sensitivity. One widely studied non-pharmacological approach is high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Purpose: To analyze the effectiveness of HIIT on glycemic control as measured by HbA1c and insulin sensitivity in patients with T2DM. Method: This was a systematic literature review based on the PRISMA guidelines. A literature search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar for articles published between 2020 and 2025, yielding 25 studies that met the inclusion criteria. Results: HIIT generally lowers HbA1c and fasting blood glucose, as well as improves HOMA-IR, fasting insulin, and glucose disposal rate. However, the magnitude of the effect varies across studies and is not always superior to moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT), particularly in isoenergetic designs or long-term interventions. Conclusion: Overall, HIIT can be viewed as an effective and efficient exercise strategy worthy of consideration in the management of T2DM, especially when designed with an appropriate protocol and performed consistently.   Keywords: Glycemic Control; HbA1c; High-Intensity Interval Training; Insulin Sensitivity; Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Abstract

Background: The development of digital transformation in the healthcare sector has driven the importance of structured IT asset management, particularly in the implementation of electronic medical records (EMD) systems. Purpose: To analyze the capability level of the BAI09 (manage assets) process in the implementation of an EMR in a hospital using the COBIT 2019 framework. Method: This descriptive quantitative study used a case study approach on the implementation of an EMR at Bhakti Mulia Hospital. The research focused on measuring the capability level of IT asset management using the COBIT 2019 framework in the BAI09 (manage assets) domain. The analysis was conducted by measuring capability levels based on the COBIT 2019 model, covering Levels 0 to 5. The resulting data were used as the basis for a descriptive evaluation to develop recommendations for improvements and enhance IT asset management capabilities in the EMR. Results: The capability level of the BAI09 process was at Level 3 (established process) with an achievement rate of 100%, indicating that the IT asset management process has been documented and consistently implemented. Meanwhile, achievement at Level 4 (predictable process) remains at 75%, or largely achieved. Consequently, the implementation of data-based performance measurement and monitoring has not been optimally implemented. Gaps identified include the lack of key performance indicators (KPIs), a real-time asset monitoring system, and an integrated software license audit mechanism. Conclusion: Measuring the capability level of information technology asset management in electronic medical records (EMD) systems using the COBIT 2019 framework in domain BAI09 (manage assets) is quite effective in providing an overview of the organization's capability level. A capability level reaching Level 3 (established process) indicates that the asset management process has clear procedures, is well-documented, and is consistently implemented to support the operation of the EMR system. Suggestion: Future research could expand the scope of the evaluation by including more domains within the COBIT 2019 framework to obtain a more comprehensive picture of information technology governance.   Keywords: Asset Management; BAI09; Capability Level; COBIT 2019; Electronic Medical Record.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a chronic disease with a high prevalence and carries a risk of serious complications, including hypertensive emergencies. A crucial factor in hypertension management is patient knowledge of antihypertensive medications. Lack of understanding of their function, dosage, side effects, and adherence to treatment can lead to non-adherence to therapy and an increased risk of complications. Purpose: To determine the level of knowledge about antihypertensive medications among hypertensive patients as a preventative measure against hypertensive emergencies. Method: This is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted in Sindanglaya Village, within the Cipanas Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Cianjur Regency, from January to February 2026. A sample of 79 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire on antihypertensive medication knowledge consisting of five domains, then analyzed univariately using frequency distributions. Results: The level of knowledge of hypertensive patients across all domains was relatively low. The percentage of correct answers in the domain of drug function and purpose was 39.87%, instructions for use and dosage 32.70%, types and mechanisms of drug use 33.92%, side effects and risks 31.65%, and compliance and complication prevention 29.87%. The domain of compliance and complication prevention was the domain with the lowest level of knowledge. Conclusion: Hypertensive patients' knowledge of antihypertensive drugs remains suboptimal across all domains. This indicates that patient understanding of drug therapy still needs to be improved. Therefore, more targeted, sustainable, and easily understood educational efforts tailored to patient characteristics are needed to support successful therapy and prevent complications of hypertension.   Keywords: Antihypertensive Drugs; Hypertensive Emergencies; Knowledge.

Abstract

Background: Digital transformation in the healthcare sector has encouraged hospitals to implement electronic prescription (e-prescribing) systems to improve service efficiency, minimize medication errors, and expedite medication management processes. However, the success of e-prescribing implementation depends not only on technological readiness but also on human factors and organizational support. The HOT-Fit model provides a comprehensive framework for evaluating the interaction between human, organizational, and technological factors in health information system implementation. Purpose: To analyze the influence of human, organizational, and technological factors (hot-fit model) on the implementation of electronic prescriptions (e-prescribing). Method: A mixed-methods design with a cross-sectional approach. Quantitative data were collected using questionnaires distributed to 47 physicians on duty (Physicians in Charge of Services) who actively use the e-prescribing system at the Outpatient Unit of Bhayangkara Hospital, Denpasar. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Human factors had a positive and significant influence on satisfaction with electronic prescription implementation (β = 0.364; p = 0.006). Technological factors also had a positive and significant effect on satisfaction (β = 0.591; p = 0.000). Meanwhile, organizational factors did not show a significant effect on satisfaction (β = –0.222; p = 0.074). Together, human and technological factors contributed 68.8% (R² = 0.688; adjusted R² = 0.667) to the variation in satisfaction with e-prescription implementation. Conclusion: The success of e-prescription implementation is primarily influenced by human resource readiness and technology quality, while organizational factors did not show a significant effect on implementation satisfaction. Strengthening user capabilities and improving system quality are crucial to optimize the sustainability of e-prescription implementation. Suggestion: Hospitals should improve digital literacy among healthcare workers, ensure consistent implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), optimize e-prescription system features, and strengthen management commitment to create a more adaptive organizational environment that supports sustainable and user-oriented e-prescription implementation.   Keywords: Electronic Prescription; HOT-Fit Model; Human Factors; Organizational Factors; Technological Factors.
