Abstract

Peer teaching is a learning approach whichis developed for developing student’s English reading skillat IPDN. This research is designed to solve some problemsin teaching English at three curriculum systems at IPDN,especially English teaching problems at parentingcurriculum system. This research explores the concept ofpeer teaching approach which utilizes peers in the form ofinteraction among the same level students and also in theform of junior and senior students who are moreknowledge of English. This research focus on thecollaboration among students, lecturers, trainers andother staffs for solving English teaching problems atIPDN. The method is mix methods (qualitativequantitative). The qualitative step is conducted by needanalysis (the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and alsothe threat belong to IPDN). The data are collected in theforms of documents, observations and interviews. Theoffering teaching approach tested in limited and extensivegroup. The results show that the pre-test score hasincrease at post test score consecutively. from 51.78 whenthe pre-test became 59.55, the first post-test, 75.11 at thesecond post-test, and 81.33 at the 3rd post test, at limitedand extensive test. The other results are the developmentof the students reading and speaking skills, the increase ofstudent’s interest of learning English, the embryo oflearning community among the students, teachers, trainers, staffs of IPDN. The requirements for planningthe activities before being applied to real classes are also aprerequisite for making learning in large classesapplicable.

Abstract

Self-disclosure has been widely researched asa way to enhance interactions in the classroom and toimprove the overall learning experience. Student selfdisclosure can be expressed through various media, one ofwhich is social media. Instagram, an indisputably visualplatform of social media interaction, has become immenselypopular among Millennials and Gen Z-ers. This study aimsto analyze the visual aspect of self-disclosing posts from 180students in two universities in Bali Indonesia, under theInstagram hashtag of “#myworld”, conducted at thebeginning of a semester term. Utilizing content analysismethod employing two coders with substantial inter-raterreliability (Cohen Kappa > 0.61), the study finds that thetypology of self-disclosure falls into three categories:descriptive, evaluative, and topical, with descriptive selfdisclosure as the clear majority (82.8%). The themesemerging from the self-disclosing posts include (from thehighest prevalence): family, friends, religion, hobby, self, significant other, things/possession, and work/study.Further qualitative inquiry reveals that self-disclosurethrough social media is perceived to have lower risk thandirect, face-to-face disclosure. It has the potential to be usedto get better acquainted to one another with lower perceivedrisk

Abstract

The world is now entering the era of industrialrevolution 4.0, which emphasizes the pattern of digital economy, artificial intelligence, big data and robots or commonly known asthe phenomenon of innovation chaos. With the rapid developmentof electronics, Information and Communication Technology(ICT), better known as ICT-based electronic advances, this has animpact on international and domestic trade. There is progress inICT, in this case making distance less influential in trade. This isbecause there is no need for meetings or face-to-face meetingsbecause they have been replaced by electronic mail or cellphones. In this study, we want to examine the impact of ICT oninternational trade, especially the total service trade between theten highest service sector exporters to Indonesia. This study uses apanel data with gravity model framework for the period of 2012-2016. The results show that, ICT has a positive and significantimpact on export of ten countries services to Indonesia. Othervariables such as the GDP of the exporting country have a positiveeffect on trade service, while export destination countries havenegative effect on trade services. In addition, distance, has negativeand significant effect on service trade. This is in line with thegravity model theory, whether distance has negative relationship ontrade In this case, distance represents transportation cost. Countrycharacteristic such as openness of exporters hasa positive andsignificant effect on service trade. In contrast, openness ofdestination country has negative and significant effect on serviceexports to Indonesia

Abstract

Systemic sclerosis is a systemic disease affecting the skin connective tissue, internal organs, and blood vessel walls, characterized by endhotel dysfunction, fibrosis, and autoantibody production. Sjogren's syndrome can appear as part of other autoimmune diseases, including systemic sclerosis (11-24%). Chronic limb ischemia is a type of peripheral arterial disease where there is blockage of the peripheral arteries due to an inflammatory or atherosclerosis process that causes arterial stenosis or thrombus formation. The Fontaine classification can assess the severity degree. A 48-year-old woman presents with stiff skin almost all over the body, especially the face, hands, feet, and back skin. She also complained of blackened and numb toes. Physical examination revealed positive Raynaud's phenomenon, Pitting scare, and deformity of both fingers. The systemic sclerosis diagnostic score was 18, which means the patient was positive for systemic sclerosis. ANA test showed strong positive Anti La / SS-B and Ro-60, which supports Sjogren's syndrome. In Fontaine classification, patients are assigned to Fontaine IV digiti II pedis sinistra. She received immunosuppressants, corticosteroids, antiplatelet agents, statin, and performed angiography. Autoimmune diseases can attack multiple organs and rarely stand on their own. Comprehensive management can provide better clinical results.

Abstract

More than 700,000 people were diagnosed with hypothyroidism, in Indonesia case is quite large. The study aims to see differences in the histological features of villi epithelium small intestine mucosa hypothyroid rats. The design was experimental post only group. This hypothyroidism is obtained by giving daily drinks that have been mixed with 0.025% Propylthiouracil (PTU).Ten of Subjects were divided into 2 groups: group 1 (control) and group 2 (hypothyroid), each group consisted of 5 mice. The PTU treatment was carried out for 8 weeks. Decapitation was carried out with chloroform and Intestinal organs were taken by opening the stomach. Intestinal organ then processed into histological preparations. The preparations are seen for changes in the histological picture through a microscope by scoring the damage to the intestinal mucosa. Data analysis used the Shapiro-Wilk and Independent T test. In control group showed bleeding was moderate. In hypotyroidism group showed heavy bleeding intestinal mucosa, while necrosis and erosion showed mild criteria. This research is be able to provide scientific support through data regarding histology of the mucosal lining of the small intestine in hypothyroid rat models. Conclusion: Histology of small intestinal in hypotyroid model rats showed damage mucosa with erosion, bleeding and necrosis.
