Abstract

Biological agents as one of the alternatives that are environmentally friendly control and in accordance with the guidelines of IPM is still not implemented. The purpose of this study to determine the interaction of dose and concentration of biological agents on the growth and yield of onion as well as to the intensity of the disease on onion crop, effect of the use of biological agents Trichoderma sp on growth, onion, and diseases of the onion crop, the concentration of PGPR right for growth and onion as well as against diseases of the onion crop. Fieldwork was arranged in a randomized block design Complete (RAKL) two factors, one control and three replications. The irst factor is the dose of Trichoderma harsianum (T) consists of two levels ie: T0: Without Trichoderma harsianum L, T1: Trichoderma harsianum L. dose of 50 kg / ha (5 mg / m2). The second factor is the concentration of PGPR (P) consists of 4 levels: P0: Without PGPR, P1: PGPR concentration of 2%, Q2: PGPR concentration of 4%, P3: PGPR concentration of 6%. The results showed no interaction between dose and concentration on the intensity of fusarium wilt, growth variables dry weight per hill, tuber crops variable dry weight per hectare. The highest efficacy for controlling diseases in onion combination treatment without the use of Trichoderma sp and PGPR concentration of 0%. PGPR concentration of 6% gave the highest yield of the dry weight of tuber crop yield of 12.7 tonnes per hectare.

Abstract

Cassava rengginang, a Javanese traditional snack food still shows cloudy white colour and no or very slight expansion when fried that are considered as a problem of undesired quality. Additional fermentation process in its manufacturing seems to be able to solve the problem. Fermentation process applied to the cassava rengginang manufacturing will affect its quality, especially the crispness, expansion capacity and taste. The crispness would possibly bring about irritation to both the throat and tongue in a little bit longer and more consumption. Two factors possibly influencing the above problem are frequency of washing process and total amount of starch resulted from every washing process, are taken as treatments. Organoleptic evaluation involving tests on texture, aroma, taste, crispness and levels of consumer preferences is taken as a variable response. The experimental design consisting of once, twice, three times and without washing process and total amount of starch related to the frequencies of the washing process was conducted to seek the best combination of the treatments that was automatically resulting in the highest variable response. Investigation tests, conducted on the fried non fermented cassava rengginang, show that the combination of three time washing process related to 244.38 grams cassava starch, 30.50 gram residue with 3 litters of water is significantly the best and preferred more than that of currently available in local markets.

Abstract

The Legin (Leguminosae inoculum) application is a technology by mixing Rhizobium inoculants with soybean seeds at the time of planting. The goal is when the existing soybean seeds of the surrounding Rhizobium japanicum bacteria will be symbiotic with the soybean roots. The Rhizobium japanicum bacteria can be isolated from effective symbiotic soybean root nodules, then cultured and can be used as inoculants mixed with peat soil. While cutting shoots done by breaking the apical dominance so that pruning effect on plant growth with the aim of encouraging plants to branch off much and produce new shoots, so as to obtain maximum results. This study examines the application of legin and shoot cutting technology on soybean cultivation. Soybean varieties used are varieties of anjasmara. The results of this study indicate that the application of legin and shoot can increase the production of 1.74 tons / ha.
