Abstract

Quality food is one of the challenges that must be realized by the government. One of the quality foods is organic rice. Organic rice in addition to ensuring environmental sustainability is positive for consumer health. This research was conducted to determine the factors that influence consumer purchases of organic rice. The analytical method used in this research is factor analysis. Based on the results of data processing with explanatory factor analysis techniques, two factors are formed which influence consumer demand for organic rice in Yogyakarta. Factor I is product and factor II is consumer social.

Abstract

The study aimed to know attitude of farmers with the usage of certified rice seeds (Oryza sativa. L). The study was conducted from February 7th to May31th, 2018 in Ambar Ketawang Village, Gamping District, Sleman Regency. The method used is the survey with the questionnaire instrument on the respondents determined by proportional random sampling on the members of farmer groups. Furthermore, the data are analysed statistically descriptive. The results showed that attitude of farmers with the usage of certified rice seeds (Oryza sativa. L) in the medium category because influenced by hesitant attitude caused by unproductive age, narrow land area, low economy condition and land ownership status only as cultivator.

Abstract

One of the commodities that needs to be considered in Galur Subdistrict, KulonProgo Regency, DIY is soybean, because it experiences a productivity reduction. Soybean productivity decline is a reality of the inability of farmers to produce soybeans with existing planting areas. One of the technologies to overcome the national demand deficit for domestic soybean yields is fertilization with KNO3 fertilizer. This research was carried out at five FFS locations in May - August 2018 and the variety used was Grobogan variety. KNO3 fertilizer is applied by spraying it as a leaf fertilizer. The analysis showed that the KNO3 fertilization treatment showed more varied and higher productivity results compared to controls. The results of KNO3 fertilization also show varied results for different locations. From a financial point of view, the KNO3 fertilization treatment shows more favourable results than those without treatment.

Abstract

Oyster mushroom is one of the horticultural commodities that has high economic value and is very popular by the community because it is beneficial for bodily health. Content of oyster mushroom typical chemical compounds efficacious treat various human diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, excess cholesterol, anaemia, increase the bodys resistance to polio and influenzas attacks and nutritional deficiencies. Viewed from the health aspect, oyster mushrooms are nutritious food ingredients with medicinal properties which are cheaper than modern medicine. Oyster mushrooms are perishable food, where the damage can be caused by microorganisms, biochemical reactions (enzymatic browning) and chemicals (non-enzymatic browning) and physical damage. Therefore, after harvesting, it is consumed immediately or processed into various types of side dishes or snacks such as nuggets, chips and others. The implementation phase of this research is the making of nuggets, making chips, organoleptic tests and farming analysis. In making nuggets with two treatments, namely with boiled and not boiled mushrooms, while in making chips is the use of a mixture of wheat flour and rice flour and tapioca flour. The results of the study showed that in making nuggets both flavour, taste and texture are preferably boiled mushrooms, while the colours of boiled and not boiled mushrooms are equally preferred. In making chips, colour and texture are preferred by using a mixture of rice-tapioca lour, while the flavour and taste are equally preferred. From the results of farming analysis, the making of nugget and oyster mushroom chips is beneficial with the B / C ratio of 1.65 and 1.84, respectively. With the diversification of oyster mushroom preparations and profitable farming analysis results can support the creation or development of agroindustry.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of farmers about the Business Services of Tools and agricultural Machinery (UPJA) and agricultural machinery hand tractors two wheel as well as the influence of the perception of farmers towards utilization of agricultural machinery tractor the two wheel hand based UPJA which was held February 18 June 31, 2019 in Panggungharjo Village, Sub District of Sewon. Method data collection using questionnaire and analysis of documents. Sampling method used slovin with an error rate 15%. Data was analysed using simple linear regression. The results of the study shows the perception of farmers about agricultural machinery and UPJA in the category appropriate to the achievement value of 79.5%, based on the indicator of the attitudes and expectations derived category of right with the achievement of the value of each 79,8% and 82,7%, interest in the category is very appropriate with the achievement values of 87.5% and a motive in the category quite right with the achievement score of 68%. The results of the simple linear regression analysis showed a significant influence of the perception of farmers towards utilization of agricultural machinery tractor the two wheels hand based UPJA.

Abstract

Farmer play a role as a worker as well as a manager in his farm. As a manager, farmer has the function to managing risks and formulating strategies to minimize the risk impact. Objectives of this study were to: 1) know the perception of coastal sand farmers about farming risk 2) identify and analyse the risk management strategy that melon farmers have implemented; 3) formulate activity recommendation to reduce the impact of melon farm risk in coastal sand. The study was conducted in April - May 2014, with locations in District of Galur. Data used in the study were taken from 50 respondents, analysed descriptively referring to the model Jolly (1993) and Matlon (1991). The results showed that intercropping cultivation system, land rotation and crop rotation were ex-ante management strategies that farmers should take. An interactive risk management strategy that needs to be addressed is: selection of planting season, inorganic fertilization application and pesticide as well as the need to encourage labour gathering culture. Seeking crops with lower production risks becomes an alternative risk management ex-post in order to suppress further losses. Accessibility of farmers to formal financial institutions is known to be good.

Abstract

This research was aimed to study the effected moringa leaf extract to productivity and quality of shallot. The research was implemented at Sendangtirto, Berbah, Sleman for AugustDecember 2018. The research used random block design by 3 replications. The treatment was concentration of moringa leaf extract (K) i.e K0= control (0 %), K1= 2 %, K2= 4 %, K3= 6% dan K4= 8 %. Observation was conducted to plant height 2-5 week after planting, leaves number 2-5 week after planting, bulb number, fresh and dry weight per clumps, fresh and dry weight per cluster, fresh and dry bulb weight per hectare, weight of save bulb, bulb diameter harvest index and total dissolved solids. The data obtained was analysed by variance analysis with 5% level of significance. The results of research showed that increased the increasing concentration of moringa leaf extract didnt affected significantly to productivity and quality of shallot, except affected significantly to leaf number 3 and 5 weeks after planting.

Abstract

This study aims The Number of Seeds and Pruning of Maize Yields (Zea mayz L). The research was conducted in April to December in the village of Pandes, Wedi Subdistrict, Klaten Regency, Central Java Province. High land 115 m type soil Vertosol. This research used a completely random factorial 2 x 4 randomized Block design. The First factor is the number of corn seeds per planting hole (B), consisting of 2 levels B1: 1 seed per planting hole with a spasing (column) of 20 cm, B2: 2 seeds per planting hole white a inter spasing (row) 40 cm. The second factor is pruning (P), consisting of 4 levels: P0 white out pruning (control), P1 pruning leaves under the corn cob, P3 pruning male lowers (tassel) and P4 in combination. Results, all treatment parameter had no interaction, except the weight of corn seeds per cob. All treatment parameter was not significantly different except the weight of corn kernels per corn cob. The largest seed weight is the combination of B1P2 (183,93 grams per corn cob, number of seeds 1 grain planting hole with pruning of leaves and male lowers. The smallest seed weight is the combination of B1P0 (176,88 grams per corn cob, number of seeds 1 grain planting hole without pruning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the social capital that exists in farmer groups and analyse the effect of social capital on the performance of farmer groups in the implementation of Integrated Plants Management of Rice Paddy in Kokosan Village, Prambanan District, Klaten Regency. The method used in this research is survey. Determination of village location was done purposively, namely villages that had carried out activities related to Integrated Plants Management of Rice Paddy. The sampling technique was carried out by proportional random sampling totalling 34 respondents. Data were analysed descriptively and multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that social capital consisting of participation, trust, and cooperation significantly influences the performance of farmer groups in the application of rice paddy integrated plants management in Kokosan Village, Prambanan District, Klaten Regency with a total influence of 68.1%. Partially variable of participation directly affects a significant result of 0,020 and the descriptive study results of 78,92% with always category. Trust doesnt directly affect the substantial result of 0,129 and the descriptive study results of 79,12% with always category. Cooperation directly affects a significant result of 0,017 and the descriptive study results of 78,73% with always category. The variables that make the greatest contribution are trust on the performance of farmer groups in the implementation of Integrated Plants Management of Rice Paddy. The results of the largest coefficients are ranking in cooperation, trust and participation.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the concentration of Trichoderma sp. effective for controlling Fusarium oxysporum wilt in chilli plants, which was carried out in Banguntapan Village, Banguntapan District, Bantul District, from March to October 2018. The study used a complete randomized block design consisting of 5 treatments of Trichoderma sp. ie 0.0 g, 2.50 g, 5.0 g, 7.50 g and 10.0 g biomass / m2 with 4 replications each treatment. Application was carried out by isolating the biomass of Trichoderma sp. inoculated in 2.5 kg of organic fertilizer / compost, then sprinkled on the ield before chilli seedlings were planted. Based on the analysis of the incubation period and the intensity of the attacks, showed that the treatment of Trichoderma sp. with a concentration of 10.0 g of biomass gave effective results and reduced the intensity of Fusarium oxysporum wilt attack by 12.15 percent.
