Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi penurunan mutu dan pendugaan umur simpan benih padi varietas IR 64 dengan menggunakan model Accelerated ShelfLife Testing (ASLT) dengan menggunakan tiga perlakuan suhu  dan kemasan yang berbeda. Suhu penyimpanan benih padi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 30°C, 40°C, dan 50°C menggunakan dua jenis kemasan yaitu aluminium foil dan plastik Polypropylene (PP) selama lima minggu penyimpanan. Parameter penurunan mutu benih adalah perubahan kadar air dan daya kecambah. Daya berkecambah juga digunakan sebagai parameter untuk memprediksi umur simpan benih padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan penurunan mutu benih padi varietas IR 64 selama penyimpanan menggunakan kemasan aluminium foil terjadi pada suhu 50°C yaitu pada minggu kedua sampai dengan minggu kelima dengan daya berkecambah mencapai dibawah 80%. Pada penyimpanan menggunakan kemasan plastik PP daya berkecambah dapat dipertahankan masih di atas 80% selama lima minggu penyimpanan. Hasil pendugaan umur simpan benih yang disimpan pada kemasan plastik PP adalah 384 hari (13 bulan) penyimpanan dan pada kemasan aluminium foil lebih singkat yaitu sekitar 116 hari (4 bulan) penyimpanan.

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the maximum delay of the proper drying time so that it does not affect the quality of rice seeds (Oryza sativa L. ) and can pass the quality testing of seed certification. This experiment used a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) using ten treatments and three replays; there were 30 experimental units. The results of the study were analyzed using ANOVA. Observations were made on the variables of moisture content before storage (%), moisture content after storage (%), germination (%), maximum growth potential (%), growing forging (%), plant height (cm), and numerous saplings. The results of the study showed no influence of the treatment of delayed drying time on the quality of rice seeds of the Inpari 42 variety. However, the moisture content increases with the long delay in drying time, germination power, maximum growing potential, and forging growth progressively decrease as the delay of drying time increases. The best results are obtained on the H0 treatment: the prospective seeds are immediately dried in the sun without storage after harvesting. The maximum drying time delay so that it can pass the seed quality test is six days after harvest. The delay in drying time does not affect the growth of the vegetative phase on the parameters of plant height and the number of saplings of 50 HSS.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of concentration and duration of soaking coconut water and their interaction on the invigoration process on soybean seed viability. The study was conducted in March-May 2022 at the Greenhouse of the Agricultural Development Polytechnic of Yogyakarta Magelang and was an experimental study with a factorial, completely randomized design. Factor I in the form of concentration of coconut water with four levels of treatment, namely 0, 25, 50, and 75%, and factor II in the form of soaking time with three levels of treatment, namely 3, 6, and 9 hours. There were 12 treatment combinations with three replications each. The variables observed were germination, maximum growth potential, growth speed, vigor index, growth synchronously, plant height, and the number of leaves. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the concentration of coconut water on invigoration had a significant effect on the viability of soybean seeds on the parameters of germination, maximum growth potential, growth speed, growth synchronously, and plant height and had no significant effect on the parameters of vigor index and several leaves. The duration of soaking coconut water in invigoration significantly affected soybean seed viability on the parameters of growth speed and growth simultaneously and had no significant effect on germination parameters, maximum growth potential, vigor index, plant height, and the number of leaves. There was no interaction between the concentration and duration of soaking coconut water on the viability of soybean seeds on all parameters.

Abstract

Proses yang ingin dihindari ketika akan mengoperasikan traktor tangan adalah pada saat melakukan starting menggunakan engkol tangan untuk menghidupkan mesinnya karena dianggap melelahkan bagi operator, apalagi ketika tidak langsung berhasil dan harus diluang berkali-kali. Penelitian analisis input energi minimal untuk menghidupkan mesin traktor tangan bertujuan membantu menganalisis besaran nilai energi yang dibutuhkan pada setiap kali proses starting melalui penggunaan rumus energi kinetik (EK) pada komponen roda gila (flywheel). Hasil analisis nilai input energi minimal untuk menghidupkan mesin traktor tangan dengan mesin diesel yang memiliki daya maksimal 8,5 hp diperoleh sebesar 353,82 joule (≈ 0,098 watt-jam). Nilai tersebut diperoleh berdasarkan dari nilai kecepatan putar dan berat/massa pada komponen roda gila (flywheel) melalui pengukuran lapangan. Nilai kecepatan putar roda gila (flywheel) yang digunakan adalah nilai yang paling rendah (nmin) dari beberapa percobaan, yaitu sebesar 359,61 rpm yang diukur menggunakan tachometer, sedangkan berat/massa roda gila (flywheel) yang digunakan sebesar 30 kg.

Abstract

Efforts to improve healthcare services in the medical world are being made by implementing rapidly evolving Computer and Information Technology. In the medical field, particularly in infusion procedures, this is the most commonly used device. The function of infusion is to administer fluids or medication into the body through an intravenous route at a constant rate for a specific period. Infusion is performed for patients who urgently need medication or require a continuous and slow administration of fluids due to dehydration. However, during implementation in the field, issues may arise due to a lack of medical personnel and nursing errors, especially considering the ongoing Covid-19 conditions. An automated infusion monitoring device is one of the solutions created to ease the nursing process by monitoring and regulating the infusion flow rate through a monitor that displays real-time fluid volume in the nurse's area. The author employs an Arduino Mega 2560 as the data reader, a Load Cell sensor to measure the weight of the fluid in the infusion, a Servo to control the infusion flow rate, and an ESP module to connect to the server

Abstract

Mentimun baby varietas Semi F1 merupakan salah satu dari banyaknya varietas mentimun baby. Beberapa kegiatan yang menunjang produktivitas mentimun salah satunya dengan perbaikan sistem budidaya tanaman dengan benih bermutu. Pembibitan merupakan salah satu tahapan budidaya yang berfungsi untuk menjamin benih menjadi bibit yang unggul agar nilai produktivitas meningkat. Penelitian dilakukan pada Juni - Juli 2023 dii Green House Politeknik Pembangunan Pertanian Yogyakarta Magelang, Ceileiban, Tahunan, Umbulharjo, Daerah Istimewah Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yaitu komposisi media tanam dengan 7 ulangan. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diuji menggunakan sidik ragam ANOVA taraf 5%, jika perlakuan berpengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengunaan berbagai komposisi media tanam berpengaruh nyata pada daya berkecambah, indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, dan keserempakan tumbuh pada bibit mentimun. Perlakuan media tanam P3 (Tanah; Arang Seikam; Pupuk Kotoran Kambiing), merupakan komposisi media yang menghasilkan mutu benih terbaik

Abstract

Agricultural mechanization has emerged as a cornerstone of modernizing the agricultural sector in Indonesia, playing a pivotal role in enhancing productivity and efficiency. The growing population and the necessity for increased agricultural output have driven the adoption of mechanization to overcome challenges such as labor shortages and the adverse effects of climate anomalies. The introduction of agricultural equipment follows a selective principle by considering the local area's socioeconomic conditions. Future agricultural mechanization utilizes technologies based on weather analysis, soil sensor information, and satellite and drone imaging that can increase agricultural productivity. Precision agriculture innovation to improve the accuracy of farm business management is carried out by utilizing sensor systems, drones, remote sensing, digital technology, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to collect, process, and present data that smart farming systems will use. Integrated information system innovations for the supply chain are designed to bridge farmers, distributors, markets, and end buyers by utilizing mobile applications. The traditional to modern transition process and the implementation of smart digital farming require mentoring and field learning in the agricultural process from upstream to downstream. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the development, challenges, opportunities, and prospects of agricultural mechanization in Indonesia, offering insights into how these efforts can support the country's economic growth and food security. Materials were prepared from various sources, including development planning documentation program reports, evaluation, and critical analysis of different research results.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan petani terhadap padi varietas inpari 32. Metode pengumpulan data dengan metode deskriptif adalah proses mengumpulkan dan mengukur informasi tentang variabel-variabel yang diteliti dengan cara sistematis yang memungkinkan seseorang untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang ditanyakan, dalam metode pengumpulan data kuantitatif dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa cara diantaranya, kuisioner, wawancara dan, dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada indikator aspek pengetahuan petani dalam penggunaan padi varietas inpari 32 berdasarkan indikator dengan rata-rata persentase 58,45% termasuk dalam ketegori sedang. Sikap petani dalam penggunaan padi varietas inpari 32 berdasarkan indikator dengan rata-rata persentase 78,33% termasuk dalam ketegori tinggi. Keterampilan petani dalam penggunaan padi varietas inpari 32 berdasarkan indikator dengan rata-rata persentase 75,83% termasuk dalam ketegori sedang. Desain pemberdayaan pada kajian ini Skor rata-rata pre test adalah sebesar 55.19% dan setelah penyuluhan skor rata-rata petani menjadi 90,12%. Secara keseluruhan sasaran mengalami peningkatan setelah penyuluhan sebesar 34,94% dari hasil pre test dan post test yang diperoleh.Kata Kunci : Inpari 32; Keterampilan; Pengetahuan; Sikap
