Abstract

Waste problems are becoming more complicated because of poor waste management. Starting from the problem of temporary shelter, collection, transportation to the place of disposal and processing. Tatah Mesjid Village, located in Alalak District, has problems related to waste, where people are accustomed to throwing garbage into the river. Community service focused on providing trash bins in strategic locations to help people get used to disposing of waste in its place. Trash bins made of plastic are equipped with lids, so they can prevent odors or become a breeding ground for disease-causing animals. Trash cans are placed in village halls and schools. This activity has a positive influence on the surrounding community and also helps village officials in trying to clean the village environment

Abstract

Corona virus is a global outbreak The covid 19 pandemic is a very contagious outbreak. People should feel concerned about the outbreak that is hitting. Public awareness is the main key in preventing or breaking the chain of the spread of the covid 19 disease. There are many concepts carried out by the government in preventing Covid-19, one of which is through lockdown, social distancing or others. If people can discipline themselves and have awareness and high spirits it will never work. Therefore, it is necessary to socialize or provide education through the distribution of pamphlets about dangers other than hoax news, especially news about covid 19 in Semangat Bakti Village, Barito Kuala Regency

Abstract

Stunting merupakan suatu kondisi pertumbuhan pada anak yang ditandai dengan tidak optimalnya pertumbuhan sesuai dengan usianya yang disebabkan kekurangan gizi saat dalam kandungan. Kasus stunting di Indonesia itu sendiri khususnya kalimantan selatan masih tinggi. Kelakai merupakan salah satu tanaman potensial dan memiliki jumlah yang melimpah di provinsi ini sehingga dapat sebagai alternatif dalam peningkat gizi masyarakat. Adapun tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu produktif mengenai pencegahan stunting dan meningkatkan keterampilan ibu-ibu dalam pembuatan sirup Kelakai sebagai inovasi booster gizi di Desa Lok Rawa Kecamatan Mandastana Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif. Hasil pengabdian ini memberikan dampak positif, yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan inovasi masyarakat tentang pencegahan stunting dengan memanfaatkan tanaman potensial lokal yakni Kelakai.

Abstract

The decline in the economy in several countries including Indonesia is the biggest impact in the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic. the community also feels the same in the field of education. issue of concern, of course, is the cleanliness of the environment. Environmental cleanliness supports two aspects at once. Namely, environmental quality and preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. There are three points of sustainable development that are introduced alternative activities to the community. Namely, an independent economy through training in making sasirangan, improving education through the movement to assist children's education, and habituation of community service for children. The results of the activity show the public's interest in community-based sustainable development education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The public finally understands that activities based on sustainable development can encourage economic independence, improve the quality of education, be prepared for the COVID-19 pandemic, and of course maintain the quality of the environment by itself.

Abstract

The growth and development of a child needs to be considered by parents starting with the first 1000 days of birth (in Bahasa is Hari Pertama Kelahiran/ HPK). But in reality, in Barito Kuala it was found that there are still many infants and toddlers who need to be considered for their growth and development, such as anthropometric examinations which indicate a child is stunted. The purpose of this activity was for early detection of stunting in children in Tabukan Raya Village, which is a Stunting Locus Village. The method of implementation was by checking the body height or length associated with the gender and age of the target. Conclusions were made in 4 categories, namely severely stunted, stunted, normal and tall, referring to the WHO growth curve. The results of the screening showed that in Tabukan Raya Village there were still children with indications of being severely stunted and stunted, each with a total of 4 people (8.16%). The activity was carried out in an orderly and smooth manner and parents received education about stunting to optimize children's growth and development.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan permasalahan gizi yang memberikan dampak buruk bagi anak. Pencegahan stunting dapat dilakukan dengan memperbaiki nutrisi anak serta memperhatikan status ibu selama kehamilan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan pada ibu hamil sehingga dapat memperbaiki status gizi dengan meningkatkan asupan nutrisi sesuai dengan standar gizi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 6 orang ibu hamil. Metode yang digunakan adalah focus grup discussion dengan ceramah tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan ini didapatkan bahwa peserta lebih memahami dan akan berusaha untuk memenuhi nutrisi yang baik selama kehamilan dengan harapan anak yang dilahirkan nanti pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya tidak terganggu.

Abstract

Income, sanitation, clean environment, nutritious food and parents' understanding of food and nutritional intake during pregnancy are one of the factors causing stunting. This activity was carried out in the Tabunganen Kecil area with the target of 5 pregnant women. This activity is carried out using the lecture method or the delivery of material using leaflets. The purpose of the implementation is to provide parenting education and prevent stunting for pregnant women through leaflet media in Tabungaen Kecil Village. The media is designed with simple and colorful language so that parents can better understand the meaning of stunting prevention and help parents understand and apply it in everyday life. The result of this activity is that parents can understand the meaning of the material presented with parenting, compassion and hone as well as an understanding of stunting prevention for pregnant women by increasing nutrition and nutritional intake during pregnancy and maintaining the baby's nutrition in kandunan and after giving birth

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to increase students' interest in reading, especially for educational matters so that students have the provision/knowledge and understanding of the importance of maintaining health, building good character in students, especially loving the natural environment and maintaining cleanliness, and build students' self-confidence. The method of implementing this community service goes through 3 stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. Based on observations of the activities that have been carried out, this activity supports increasing student literacy in order to build a healthy generation of character. This is indicated by changes in knowledge and the impact on student behavior who pay more attention to maintaining health.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition in which an toddler has a leght and heights are less when compared with aged caused by multidimensional factors. One the factors related to incidence of stunting is nutritional factors, and community knowledge for stunting prevention. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of the people of Karya Baru Village about stunting prevention. This community services is carried out as a form the contribution of accelerating stunting reduction. The importance of community participation in stunting prevention and early detection programs. The method used is a measuring nutritional status, providing information through stunting education by installing posters and assisting in making nuggets. the reults of this services, in general, this activity provides an increase in community understanding and commitment to stunting and efforts to assist children’s growth and development.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious issue in Indonesia to ensure the quality of our human resources. It is obvious that our government has taken several policies, since one out of three children in Indonesia have the prevalence to have stunting. Therefore, educating Clean and Healthy Living Behavior must be done to elementary school students in Patih Selera Village to prevent stunting. This community service was done by team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin. Our community service here is to educate the elementary students to wash their hand properly, to brush their teeth properly, to understand about balance nutrition and to know about family medicine herbal. Evaluation was done through observation in the class, interview with the teachers and the head master. The result is all the stake holders were happy with the community service and they hope to have the same event in the near future.
