Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the planning of the Student Sports Event (PORMA) event from the beginning of planning to the end of the event and to find out the function of the role of public relations at the PORMA event. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research. The results of this study are: 1) Research, where the PORMA committee made observations through digital media related to things that were going viral; 2) Design, basically with a design that attracts mass attention, the PORMA committee uses the brainstorming and mindmapping stages to be able to attract the attention of participants; 3) Planning, the PORMA committee also prepares the event design according to their template that has been made before starting the tournament by holding a Technical Meeting, and this e-sports tournament is planning B of the PORMA event; 4) Coordination of the committee, participants, sponsors, and media partners by using social media in the form of Whatsapp and Zoom Meeting. 5) Evaluation of, the PORMA event to get a positive response from participants. Then the committee evaluated themselves at the PORMA event so that the mistakes and shortcomings that occurred yesterday would not be repeated at the next PORMA.

Abstract

Sports activities require sports facilities and infrastructure in general. This study aims to examine the management of the procurement of sports facilities and infrastructure of the Department of Youth and Sports of Binjai City based on the management functions of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC). This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The results showed that the application of management functions (1) Planning management in the procurement of sports facilities and infrastructure needs in Binjai City is carried out with proposals from the community and proposals from sports (2) Organizing management is the responsibility of the field of sports facilities and infrastructure and collaborates with stakeholders (3) Implementation management is carried out if the proposal from planning has been discussed and the budget has been determined (4) Supervision management is carried out by monitoring at every stage (5) The response of the Binjai community who felt the impact of the procurement of sports facilities and infrastructure in Binjai City got good results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between management knowledge and commitment to the performance of the management of the Student Education and Training Center (PPLP) in Indonesia. In addition, this study also aims to determine the relationship between management knowledge and commitment together on the performance of PPLP administrators in Indonesia. This research was conducted in North Sumatra from February to June 2022. The research method used is descriptive method with correlation. The sampling technique using proportional random samples totaling 40 people. The analysis technique used is regression technique. The results of this study concluded that: (1) There is a significant relationship between management knowledge and the performance of PPLP administrators in North Sumatra by showing thit = 43.28> ttab 1.68, (2) There is a significant relationship between commitment and the performance of PPLP administrators in North Sumatra by showing thit = 79.3> ttab 1.81, (3) There is a significant relationship together between Management Knowledge and Commitment with the performance of PPLP administrators in North Sumatra by showing thit = 4.94> ttab 1.81.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the implementation of learning management of physical education teachers based on the 2013 curriculum in junior high schools in Medan City. This research uses descriptive research type, the location of this research is carried out in several junior high schools in Medan City. From the data on the results of physical education management based on the 2013 curriculum which consists of planning, implementation and evaluation in this study relevant to the framework that has been developed based on theories that support research in this study obtained the following data: 1) Physical education planning management based on the 2013 Curriculum at State Junior High School in Medan City obtained a value of 660/750 x 100% = 88% or with a category classified as very strong; 2) physical education implementation management based on the 2013 Curriculum at State Junior High School in Medan City obtained a value of 706/800 x 100% = 83.3% or with a category classified as very strong; 3) physical education evaluation management based on the 2013 Curriculum at State Junior High School in Medan City obtained a value of 706/800 x 100% = 83.3% or with a category classified as very strong.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of sports management capabilities in North Sumatra in 2020. This research method is a descriptive method. The number of samples was 34 people with sampling techniques with purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument is a questionnaire with data analysis techniques by comparing the two pree test averages = 78 (medium), and the post-test average = 84.5 (good). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant increase in the capacity of the management ability of provincial sports administrators in North Sumatra in 2020. There is a significant increase in the sports management capacity of the provincial board of sports branches in North Sumatra in 2020. It is recommended that the leader of a sports organization has the ability to lead a sports organization determined by the managerial skills possessed, among others; ability to lead, ability to foster, ability to organize, and financial management skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the learning process of Early Childhood Education (ECE) after the COVID-19 pandemic in Medan City, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the 4 functions of learning process management can be carried out even with several obstacles in formal and non-formal Early Childhood Education institutions. There are differences in the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic and Post-Pandemic, namely the use of blended learning methods by combining online and offline learning. The application of health protocols is also an integral part of the learning carried out by Early Childhood Education institutions. Suggestions for further research include management analysis on other Early Childhood Education standards to provide a comprehensive picture of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Early Childhood Education and become input for policymakers to establish education policies during the COVID-19 post-pandemic (New Normal).

Abstract

The management of basketball sports coaching in Medan City in 2021 is still unknown, where the success of the Methodist club, one of which is determined by management and some administrators still do not carry out management functions or tasks in the Methodist club. Therefore, this study aims to determine how planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising basketball sports coaching management activities at Methodist in 2021. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach, with the subjects of this research being the Chairperson, Coach, and athletes. Data collection using interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data analysis uses a method that is carried out continuously with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study: (1) Planning has not been programmed properly (2) Organizing is still not competent (3) the implementation of training is still often hampered due to lack of facilities and infrastructure (4) Supervision is still not perfect because it is only left to the coach. The conclusion from the results of the above research regarding the Methodist club is said to be not good. The author's suggestion to the Chairman of the Methodist club is to maintain good communication with all members so that they can achieve the targets that have been set.

Abstract

This research originated from observations and also field observations made by researchers in the Sipispis sub-district of Serdang Bedagai Regency. Researchers consider that in Sipispis District, Serdang Bedagai Regency has a Recreational Sports Management of rafting in the sub-district. Existing planning is expected to be utilized as well as possible for rafting athletes and tourism for regional development and also as a regional promotion so that it can be recognized by the wider community. Researchers consider that it is not only the potential for Rafting Sports that is found in Sipispis District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, but there are also potentials such as culture, kincia attractions, culinary, tubing, as well as the potential for hidden waterfall tourism which is only done by rafting or tubing on the Ombiilin River, Sipispis District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This type of research is qualitative, the subject in this study is a review of the management of Royal Crown Adventure Club recreational sports on the Bah Bolon River, Sipispis sub-district, Serdang Bedagai district by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation.

Abstract

Learning motivation in early childhood is an important factor in achieving educational goals. This study aims to analyze the effect of education management on learning motivation in early childhood. The research methodology used in this study is a literature study. A literature study is a research approach carried out by collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and synthesizing literature or written sources that are relevant to the research topic used as the object of research. The results of this study show that the influence of education management on learning motivation in early childhood is very important. Factors that influence learning motivation in early childhood include internal factors, such as interest and talent, and external factors, such as the learning environment and learning methods. With good education management, teachers and education managers can create a conducive learning environment and motivate children to learn. Some strategies that can be used include interactive and fun learning methods, a safe and comfortable learning environment, and positive rewards and feedback.

Abstract

School Health Efforts are part of the substance of special service management engaged in school health. Special service management in schools is implemented to support learning and can meet the special needs of students in schools. This study aims to determine (1) the planning of School Health Effort at SDS Budi Mulia Medan, (2) the implementation of School Health Effort at SDS Budi Mulia Medan, (3) the control and implementation of School Health Effort at SDS Budi Mulia Medan, and (4) the factors that influence School Health Effort management at SDS Budi Mulia Medan. This research used a qualitative approach and case study research design. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. To obtain data validity, researchers used source triangulation by finding different resource persons to find similar information. This study aims to describe the management of UKS at SDS Budi Mulia Medan.
