Purpose: The collapse of any bank in any country will bring several ramifications to a country's banking services and economy. Because of the global connectedness of financial services, risk can become contagious. The collapse of three small-to-mid-size banks in the U.S. during March 2023 has lessons for the global banking industry and regulators to learn. The case examines the series of happenings that led to the collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), the moves made by the management to prevent a bank run situation, the interference of banking insurance, take over by First Citizens BancShares, and developments around it. Important lessons learned by different stakeholders are reported. Method: This study employs a case study approach in qualitative research. The evaluation has considered the developments around the collapsed bank and its aftermath. Media sources are used to track the developments and are supported by academic references whenever possible. The research has taken note of the happenings between March and July of 2023. Result: The study finds that while global stock markets are turbulent because of the banking crisis, they subsided in due course. The acquisition of SVB by First Citizens has reduced the panic situation. Customers in other countries, including the U.K., had to seek governmental and legal interventions. The collapse of SVB impacted the cryptocurrency segment in the U.S. Competitor banks appear to have taken advantage of the situation. Novelty: The study will be amongst the first to examine the collapse of the SVB from multiple dimensions of running a bank. It contributes to the academic research on banking crisis and contingency risk studies.

Human resources are one of the assets that play an important role in achieving company goals. Human resources are company assets that must be maintained. PT. Omega Mas is a company engaged in wood production by producing handmade wooden furniture and accessories. This study aims to determine the influence between the variables studied. These variables include work discipline, job satisfaction, and employee performance. This type of research uses quantitative methods. The sample in this study is the entire population of operational sites in the company as many as 193 employees/respondents. The analysis technique used is the Path analysis technique using the SPSS 25 application. The results show that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a coefficient of 0.156 and a p value of 0.049. And job satisfaction has no significant positive effect on employee performance with a coefficient of 0.139 and a p value of 0.105.

Entrepreneurship is considered as one of the effective solutions in efforts to reduce the high unemployment rate in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the effect of social media, entrepreneurship education and academic support on entrepreneurial intensity. This research was conducted on Islamic Criminal Law 4A students at the Negri Islamic University of North Sumatra to complete the Entrepreneurship semester final exam assignment. The type of research in this research is quantitative. The managerial implications of the research results suggest educational institutions to consider entrepreneurship education and academic support as important enough factors to encourage student interest in entrepreneurship. In the educational process, the problem of cultivating enthusiasm for carrying out the process of entrepreneurial activity is important. An educator must be innovative in relation to growing interest in participating in entrepreneurial activities. In entrepreneurial activity, interest plays an important role so that this aspect must appear before other aspects grow. Each teacher is expected to be able to provide inserts of this content when carrying out the education and learning process.

The millennial generation has its own characteristics compared to other generations. Millennials tend not to feel connected to their work. The research aims to determine the influence that dimensions of psychological empowerment such as meaning, competence, self-determination and impact have on the affective commitment of millennial workers. Respondents were 100 millennial workers in Indonesia who were selected using convenience sampling. Respondents were born between 1981 and 1996. The data analysis method used was PLS SEM. The research results found that the dimensions of meaning and impact had a positive effect on affective commitment, while competence and self-determination had no effect on affective commitment. This research contributes to increasing affective commitment through psychological empowerment among millennial workers in Indonesia.

This research aims to explore the role played by the social media platform Instagram in increasing brand awareness for companies. With the increasing use of social media as a marketing and communication tool, Instagram has become one of the main platforms used by companies to expand their audience reach and increase their brand awareness. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that using Instagram effectively can increase brand awareness and expand marketing reach for companies. By leveraging features such as engaging visual content, use of relevant hashtags, paid advertising options, and collaboration with influencers, companies can strengthen their brand identity, increase user engagement, and expand brand influence among a wider audience. Thus, Instagram has proven to be an effective and important tool for companies in expanding their marketing reach, building closer relationships with consumers, and increasing brand awareness in the ever-evolving digital era.

This case study looks at the use of Microsoft Excel as a long-term accounting solution for SMEs, using Bash Coffee Buraydah as an example. The study investigates how Excel's familiarity, cost-effectiveness, and customization capabilities contribute to accountants' skills and the company's long-term success. The research gives insights into how Excel improves financial data management, reduces subscription expenses, and improves efficiency and control over accounting operations using a qualitative case study technique that includes interviews and document analysis. The findings inform global SMEs about the benefits of using Excel for cost-effective and long-term accounting processes.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in both the global and local economies by contributing to job creation and innovation. However, MSMEs often face challenges in financial management, including access to financing and cost control. This study examines the importance of strategic financial management for MSMEs, including financial planning, cash flow management, and investment diversification. A qualitative approach is used to explore effective strategies in fund management and identify the challenges faced. The research findings indicate that good financial planning, wise fund management, and investment diversification are key strategies for enhancing MSME competitiveness and sustainability. Practical recommendations are developed to assist MSMEs in achieving their financial goals.

Climate change, environmental degradation and sustainability demands are increasingly pressing companies to adopt environmentally friendly business practices. This research aims to explore and analyze the implementation of sustainable strategic management with a focus on the integration of environmental principles in business management. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that the integration of environmental principles in business management can make a significant contribution to corporate sustainability. By involving sustainable practices in all operational aspects, companies are able to reduce negative impacts on the environment, increase resource efficiency, and respond to increasing consumer demands regarding sustainability. In addition, employee involvement in sustainability initiatives and regular performance monitoring are also key factors in achieving holistic sustainability. Thus, the results of this research confirm that the application of environmental principles can provide long-term benefits, both for the company itself and for society and the environment at large.

In this era of globalization, competition in the market is increasingly fierce, and companies are looking for ways to differentiate themselves from competitors. Niche marketing has become an interesting approach, where companies focus on specific market segments with unique characteristics. This research aims to analyze and identify niche marketing strategies that are effective in creating influence in the market. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In the results of this research, it was found that implementing niche marketing strategies, including a deep understanding of consumer needs, unique products or services, appropriate pricing, and providing an extraordinary customer experience, significantly contributed to creating influence in the market. A company's reputation as an expert and leader in a limited niche market has also proven to be a major influence in strengthening its position and increasing consumer engagement. In conclusion, niche marketing can successfully create a lasting impact by combining product or service uniqueness, deep understanding of consumers, and meaningful personal interactions with customers in more focused market segments.

Technological developments have a major influence on people's lives. In its development, shipping companies are also growing rapidly. In the company's marketing strategy, the existence of customer relationship management (CRM) and service quality is an attraction to maintain customer loyalty. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of customer relationship management variables and service quality on customer loyalty at JNE Pendowo Branch among university students in Malang. The research approach used a quantitative explanatory research approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who met the research criteria. This research used a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis, validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that customer relationship management and service quality have a positive and significant effect partially or simultaneously on customer loyalty at JNE Pendowo Branch. From this research, it is hoped that JNE Pendowo Branch can maintain and improve customer relationship management and service quality. So, that customers are more loyal to make purchases.
