Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of work motivation, discipline, and work environment on employee performance in the Medan City Market Regional Public Company. This study uses a quantitative approach with a double linear regression analysis technique processed using SPSS Version 27 software, involving 88 participants and collecting data through questionnaires. The results of the study show that the three variables (Work Motivation, Work Discipline, and Work Environment) have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, both individually and simultaneously. Among the three variables, the Work Environment is proven to have the greatest influence on improving employee performance.

Abstract

When investing capital, financial performance must be analyzed first by investors by carrying out financial analysis by calculating ratios. In this research, the ratios used include current ratio, quick ratio, debt to total assets, debt to equity, ROA, ROE, inventory turnover and total asset turnover. The aim of this research was to understand and analyze the financial performance of PT Bayan Resources Tbk in the 2020-2022 period based on liquidity, solvency, profitability and activity ratios. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research conducted state that PT Bayan Resources Tbk has the ability to cover its short- term liabilities by managing total current assets and capital owned, the company can also generate increased profits by managing assets and capital and the company is not yet able to manage total assets that can generate sales.

Abstract

Industrial estates in the northern region of Medan City are currently developing close to community settlements, which have the potential to have a negative impact on the environment and public health. These impacts include air and noise pollution, water and soil pollution, declining property values, increased crime problems, and environmental damage. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a study on the suitability of industrial estates to the carrying capacity of the environment. This study aims to assess the suitability of industrial estates with the Carrying Capacity and Carrying Capacity of Ecosystem Services-Based Environment. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive, which describes environmental characteristics and the phenomenon of industrial estate development. The results of the study show variations in land suitability in the northern region of Medan City. In Medan Belawan District, most of the land (1,566.22 hectares) is not suitable for industrial estates, while in Medan Deli, most of the land (1,358.26 hectares) is very suitable. Medan Labuhan District is dominated by suitable land (2,157.42 hectares), while Medan Marelan has an even distribution between very suitable and suitable land. In coastal reclamation areas, most of the land (262.46 hectares) is not suitable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and find out the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance Di Yayasan Harapan Tebing Tinggi)as well as analyze the influence of organizational culture on employee performance, the influence of transformational leadership, organizational culture on employee performance mediated by organizational commitment di Yayasan Harapan Tebing Tinggi. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, the research sample is 100 people, and the data analysis uses the SEM (structural equation modeling) method. Overall, from the results and discussions in the study, it is concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between transformational leadership on employee performance, there is a positive and significant influence between organizational culture on employee performance and the variable of Organizational Citizenship Behavior that is able to mediate transformational leadership and organizational culture on employee performance di Yayasan Harapan Tebing Tinggi

Abstract

The research analysis aims to determine whether service quality partially has a positive and significant effect on the corporate image of PT Jasa Raharja, North Sumatra Branch. Whether claimant satisfaction partially has a positive and significant effect on the corporate image of PT Jasa Raharja, North Sumatra Branch. Whether service quality and claimant satisfaction simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the corporate image of PT Jasa Raharja, North Sumatra Branch. The data analysis technique used is the associative quantitative research method with the help of the SPSS program. This study uses multiple linear regression. The sample in this study was 82 respondents. Primary data collection using a questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that service quality partially has a positive and significant effect on the corporate image of PT Jasa Raharja, North Sumatra Branch. Claimant satisfaction partially has a positive and significant effect on the corporate image of PT Jasa Raharja, North Sumatra Branch. Service quality and claimant satisfaction simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the corporate image of PT Jasa Raharja, North Sumatra Branch.

Abstract

This exploration plans to assess the adequacy and unwavering quality of Web of Things (IoT) advancements with regards to observing and control of family electronic machines. With the intention of enhancing user efficiency, convenience, and security, rapid advancements in the Internet of Things (IoT) domain have provided brand-new opportunities to incorporate home appliances into a connected digital ecosystem. The research's methodology includes developing control applications for mobile devices and putting in place an IoT infrastructure of sensors, actuators, and communication platforms. Chosen family electronic machines, like lighting gadgets, climate control systems, and security frameworks, will be coordinated into the IoT organization to work with remote checking and control. Performance metrics like response time, connection reliability, and energy consumption will be measured and analyzed during the evaluation. What's more, client experience in utilizing the control application by means of cell phones will likewise be assessed through surveys and meetings. It is anticipated that this study's findings will provide comprehensive insights into the IoT's potential and drawbacks for monitoring and controlling household electronic appliances. The repercussions of this study's findings have the potential to assist in the creation of better solutions for designing a home environment that is intelligent, effective, and adaptable to each person's preferences and requirements.

Abstract

The "Compact City" planning concept aims to manage urban growth in a structured and efficient manner, as well as prevent urban sprawl or irregular urban development. The city of Medan, as a big city, has not fully implemented this concept, although the rapid development of the city has caused problems such as limited land, high urbanization, declining environmental quality, and transportation challenges. This study aims to measure the potential of regional compactness in Medan based on three main factors of urban compactness: density, mixed land, and intensification. The research approach uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, where quantitative analysis is used to measure the cohesiveness factor of the city with Sturgess cluster analysis tools and spatial mapping using ArcGIS 10.5, while qualitative analysis provides a more in-depth explanation of quantitative data. The results show that out of 23 villages in northern Medan, only 4 villages have the highest potential for the implementation of the compact city concept, namely Besar Village, Tangkahan, Tanah Enam Ratus, and Rengas Pulau. This is influenced by the more formed cohesive structure, especially in the function of the mixture.

Abstract

Employee job satisfaction is one of the important aspects in every company. Employee job satisfaction occurs because of the motivation in employees in carrying out all their work. And also because of the career development opportunities offered by the company. This study aims to analyze and get answers whether the variables of motivation and career development have a partial and simultaneous effect on the job satisfaction of employees of PT. Pegadaian (Persero). This approach uses a quantitative approach with a total of 30 respondents. Testing was carried out using SPSS ver 29. The results showed that motivation (X1) had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Y) while career development (X2) had no positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Y). However, motivation (X1) and career development (X2) have a simultaneous effect on job satisfaction (Y)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, organizational culture, and communication on employee performance at PT Ukindo Blankahan Mill, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. A quantitative approach with a survey method is used to collect data from a sample of employees in the company. The research sample was determined through a saturated sample technique, and data was collected using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to determine the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable using SPSS version 25 data processing tools. The results of the study show that leadership style has a positive and significant influence on employee performance, which means that effective leaders can increase productivity and work efficiency. Organizational culture has also been found to have a significant effect on performance, suggesting that the values and norms applied in the organization can increase employee motivation and engagement. Communication, as the last variable, does not have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Simultaneously, the variables of leadership style, organizational culture, and communication have a positive and significant influence on employee performance at PT UKINDO.

Abstract

This study was directed fully intent on deciding the impact of ICSR disclosure and ICG disclosure on Profitability (ROE) in Sharia Commercial Banks enlisted with the OJK for the 2019-2023 period. The population in this study is 14 Sharia Commercial Banks enlisted with the OJK for the 2019-2023 period. By using purposive sampling, a sample of 8 Sharia Commercial Banks with 5 years of annual report observation was. Data analysis includes qualitative descriptive analysis, classical assumption test (normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test with Durbin-Watson), multiple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient and determination analysis, and hypothesis test (t-test and F-test) by using SPSS version 26 software. The results of the study show that ICSR partially has no effect and is not significant on profitability, while ICG partially has a significant effect on profitability. Simultaneously, the research results show that ICSR and ICG have a significant effect on the profitability of Sharia Commercial Banks enlisted with the OJK for the 2019-2023 period.
