Abstract

The low achievement of students and the lack of motivation, methods of learning and discipline in the students' learning of mathematics is a challenge for mathematics lecturers to continue to think creatively in order to teach the material to students in accordance with the standards of the curriculum and the learning process takes place by directly involving students in full in terms of the learning process that takes place can be run with fun. The low achievement of students was indirectly caused by the lack of students' motivation and discipline itself. Learning methods implemented by the faculty also affects the achievement of students majoring in chemical engineering. The learning method is a technique applied by teachers in the learning process, because the learning process is a process of knowledge transfer from faculty as a lecturer to the students as learners and for that there must be a special technique to be effective and well targeted. If the teaching methods employed by teachers precisely, the maximum learning outcomes clear and satisfactory.

Abstract

This research is an explorative research in order to get a description on the findings of the examining result on the finance and performance report and this examination with the specific goal at Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) in the periode of 2011-2013. From the findings, it is got the description on the management of the country wealth at BUMN in the periode 2011-2013. It showsthe progressis not good, especially based on the performance examination and the examination with the specific good. On the performanceexamination is got that the object examined keeps on decreased but the amount of cases found and the rate of the finance loss increase rapidly each year. For the examination on specific goal shows that there are amounts of cases fluctuative findings but with the rapid loss rate. The repairment on the internal control system (SPI) applied at BUMN in Indonesia need to be done, because eventough in some cases, the weakness of SPI does not cause the finance loss directly.

Abstract

State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya is a vocational education that will enter the business market  needs of the high quality graduates. There is one newly programme which is established in 2014 called S1 Applied of Business Management. This  study accept the applicants for new students with the most applicants prospective students S1 Applied in the State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya with number of 1028 candidates for new students. The students who received in this programme only 48 students. The intense competition is 1:21, this means that the programme study aims to explore the number of applicants prospective students who become students of S1 of Business Management  has a significant influence on learning motivation. The method is carried out by distributing questionnaires to the students by tracing the students learning motivation in participating the learning process. This study also aims to complete the data collection, therefore, the data also collected by interviewing. In that case, the population of this research using “sampel jenuh” technique because of the relatively small number of students of the Applied S1 which amount only 48 students. We analyzed the data with simple regression 12.00 version. The result show that the number of applicants prospective students S1 Applied of Business Management  which has been accepted as a student of Applied S1  have influence the learning motivations by 96.8 percent to  the achievement of learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze effect of market orientation, technology orientation and product innovation on Competitive Advantage of Songket industry specially Small Enterprises in Palembang City. This study uses data collected by a survey on Small Enterprises of Songket Company using simple random sampling method. The sample of this research consist of 91 Small Enterprises of Songket. The data analysis using SPSS software with Linear Regression Analysis. Independent variables in this research are market orientation, technology orientation and product innovation, and dependent variable is Competitive Advantage. The result shows that simultaneously market orientation, technology orientation and product innovation have significant influence on Competitive Advantage. The result shows that partially market orientation have significant influence on Competitive Advantage. Technology orientation did not have significant influence on Competitive Advantage. Product innovation has significant influence on Competitive Advantage.

Abstract

This research on asset optimization through marketing strategies in Balai Pelatihan Kesehatan (BAPELKES) Health Departement of West Java Province. This purpose of this study is to examine depth optimizing assets Bapelkes Bandung building using 7P marketing mix analysis. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Where as techniques of data collection in this research is primary data and secondary data collection. Techniques of primary data collection was done with observation at the assets, interview to administrator and users. Techniques of secondary data collection was done with literature study and documentation study. Based on the result of research on the marketing mix in optimizing utilization the assets Bapelkes Bandung building use 7P marketing mix of product, price, place, promotion, people, process and physical evidence. The author has got the conclusion of the tools used for promotion in accordance with Bapelkes Bandung.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the recruitment procedure, selection and placement of employees in LPP TVRI Sumsel Babel. This study uses qualitative and descriptive analysis techniques. Data in this study was obtained from interviews and questionnaires to 68 employees in LPP TVRI Sumsel Babel. From the results of this research note that the recruitment of employees using a closed system. This is because the financial obstacle of company for open recruitment. From 68 respondents, there are 73.53 percent of respondents aware of any recruitment of families who worked in LPP TVRI Sumsel Babel and the remaining 26.47 per cent know of a friend who works there. to obtain employment in accordance with the job specification, the company should conduct open recruitment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh brand image dan word of mouth communication terhadap keputusan pembelian kompor gas Rinnai pada konsumen Kelurahan Cereme Taba Kota Lubuklinggau. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kuesioner  dan observasi serta dokumentasi langsung dengan pihak terkait. Dimana Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Non-Probability Sampling, dengan metode Purposive Sampling. Analisis ini menggunakan dasar perhitungan regresi linier berganda, dengan menggunakan program SPSS.17.0 for Windows. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoeh persamaan Y= 17,072 + 0,301 X1 + 0,426 X2, nilai konstanta (a) sebesar 17,072 ini berarti bahwa apabila variabel brand image dan word of mouth communication tidak ada atau nilainya nol,maka nilai dari keputusan pembelian 17,072, sedangkan nilai koefesien regresi (b1) variabel brand image, sebesar 0,301, hal ini menunjukkan apabila nilai brand image meningkat sebesar satu satuan, maka nilai keputusan pembelian akan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,301. Sedangkan nilai koefesien regresi (b2) variabel word of mouth communication sebesar 0,426, hal ini menunjukkan apabila nilai word of mouth communication meningkat sebesar satu satuan, maka nilai keputusan pembelian akan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,426. Dari hasil perhitungan koefesien determinasi dapat diketahui bahwa nilai R2 sebesar 0,529. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa varian keputusan pembelian dapat dijelaskan oleh varian brand image dan word of mouth communication sebesar sebesar 0,529 atau sebesar 52,9% dan setelah disesuaikan nilai sisanya 0,471 atau sebesar 47,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukan dalam penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai fhitung = 36.571 ³ ftabel = 3,13diperoleh dengan menggunakan tingkat keyakinan 95%, α = 5%, dan df 2 (n-1) = 68-1 =67 (n adalah jumlah data), seghingga didapat nilai ftabel sebesar 3,13 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berarti terdapat pengaruh secara simultan (bersama-sama) antara Brand Image (X1) dan Word of Mouth Communication (X2) terhadap Keputusan Pembelian (Y) kompor gas Rinnai pada konsumen Kelurahan Cereme Taba Kota lubuklinggau.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the perception of student Business Administration of State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya towards lecturer behavior in teaching. The data were collected by using a questionnaire, and analyzed with cartisius diagram. The results showed that the expection value is grater then the value of the fact, that implied 3,57 and 2,93. This shows that satisfaction or fact regarding behavior in the teaching according to the perceptions of students still below the standard expected. Some of the lecturers teaching behaviors that should be preserved is the matery of materials, the ability to communicate in the classroom, time to discuss, don’t smoke while teaching, always dress modestly at time when teaching, polite attitude at a time when teaching, interspersed with moments of humor, friendly teaching attitude towards students, and questions to be tested in accordance with study materials. While the factors that need to be repaired from the lecturer behavior in the teaching is less able to manage interaction among students in teaching and learning processes, student do not have time to ask to the lecturer in learning procceses, less honest in assessing students’ behavior and discriminate between students, lecturers are not transparent in marking, lecturer are not timely in accomplishing all the material given in a semester.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out whether or not the lecturer attitude of Business Administration Majaority in teaching could influence the learning of college student?  The data were collected with questionnaire and the analyzing of the data was helped by SPSS version 12.00 program.  The results have shown that three of independent variables of lecturer which consist of teaching method, lecturer ethics in teaching and the lecturer obedience in regulation simultaneously and partially influenced toward the learning as the dependent variable.  The number of the influence was 49,10% and the rest was influenced by the other variables.  The most dominant factor that was influential on the learning interest of college student was the lecturer etchics in teaching.  To give more improvement toward the learning interest of college student at Business Administration Majority, it was recommended to Business Administration Majority’s lecturer to be more ready in teaching, starting from the teaching method such as preparing the tuition contract, SAP, teaching material, etc.  The lecturer ethics in the class also should be kept, for example the attitude in communicating to the college student, likewise with the regulation obedience, it is better for the lecturer to always obey the teaching time, giving score transparency, etc. Thus, besides improving the learning interest of college student, the lecturer could be the good role model to the college student.

Abstract

This article has a purpose to analyse the factors that influence functional food consumption in Surabaya. Based on the data process of 100 respondents using confirmatory factory analysis, there are two factors found,  factor1 is  46,649% named as Product awareness  and Factor 2 named as Product knowledge 19,149%. Total varians 65,798%  less than100 % means that there is another factor unexposed here. The dominant factor is product awareness consists of  availability, value and reference variables and the second factor, product knowledge consists of  necessity, safety and reward variables is not the dominant factor since the respondents do not really understand the detail function of each food consumed, but they believe the functional food is good for them based on their references. Another unexposed factor could be intensive advertising, publicity, government intervention program in enhancing society health and so on.
