Abstract

The growing number of private Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia has intensified competition in educational management, yet most institutions still lack structured tools for strategic environmental analysis. This study aims to examine the conceptual application of the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrix methods in strategic planning for Islamic educational institutions, particularly in identifying internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and threats. This study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology, drawing on 30 peer-reviewed sources published between 2013 and 2026, retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus, DOAJ, and the Indonesian national journal index (Sinta). Data were analyzed through three stages: literature reduction, content analysis, and integrative thematic synthesis. The findings reveal that the IFE and EFE matrices offer a quantitative and structured approach to environmental scanning that surpasses conventional SWOT analysis in terms of precision and accountability. When contextualized for Islamic educational settings, these tools can accommodate institution-specific internal factors such as Islamic values, pesantren culture, and character education commitments alongside conventional managerial variables. The study concludes that systematic application of IFE and EFE matrices enables Islamic school leaders to formulate data-driven strategies, optimize limited resources, and enhance institutional competitiveness. This study contributes a contextual conceptual framework that bridges strategic management theory and the practical realities of Islamic private school governance in Indonesia.

Abstract

Programming skill is a core competency in Vocational High School (SMK) Informatics Engineering programmes, yet students consistently struggle with it due to limited learning resources and inadequate interactive media. This study developed and evaluated an Android-based Mobile Learning (M-learning) application to enhance programming skills among SMK Informatics Engineering students. The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model guided development across five phases: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The application integrates a multimodal theory content module and a gamified practice module. Qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews and structured observation with purposively selected students over a four-week trial period, then analysed using inductive content analysis in NVivo 14. Four themes emerged: ease of use, accelerated comprehension of programming concepts, increased motivation for self-directed study, and clear preference over conventional learning resources. Triangulated evidence indicated meaningful improvement in programming performance. These findings support Android-based M-learning as an effective, flexible supplement to conventional programming instruction in SMK contexts; however, longitudinal studies with larger samples are warranted.

Abstract

Listening skills form the foundation of language acquisition, yet they remain underemphasized in Indonesian language instruction at the elementary level, partly due to the dominance of lecture-based methods and the limited use of media capable of facilitating simultaneous auditory-visual information processing. This study aims to describe the implementation of animated video-based listening instruction on simple narrative texts and to analyze students' responses to the use of this medium. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed with 12 fourth-grade students at SDN Bandaran 1, Pamekasan, during the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through structured observation using four listening competency indicators and a ten-item four-point Likert scale student response questionnaire. Observation results showed that 75.00% of students could identify the story title, 50.00% could recognize the main character, 41.67% could retell the story content, and 25.00% could convey the moral lesson. This achievement pattern indicates that students find it easier to comprehend explicit surface-level information than implicit meaning requiring inferential processing. The student response questionnaire yielded an overall percentage of 82.71% in the very good category, reflecting high student acceptance of animated video media. These findings imply the need for additional scaffolding strategies, particularly to support the development of inferential comprehension in video-based listening instruction.

Abstract

The leadership of kiai in Islamic boarding schools has a strategic role in determining the direction of institutional development in the midst of changing dynamics of the times. Leadership no longer only relies on charisma, but must also be value-based that is able to answer the challenges of modernity. Prophetic leadership is a relevant approach because it is based on prophetic values, namely siddiq (honest), amanah (responsibility), tabligh (communicative), and fathanah (intelligent). These values are the basis for building an adaptive, innovative, and sustainable pesantren management system. The focus of the research in this thesis is: 1) What is the leadership practice of siddiq kiai in the development of the Ra'iyatul Husnan Bondowoso Islamic Boarding School, East Java? 2) How is the leadership practice of  the nature of the kiai mandate in the development of the Ra'iyatul Husnan Bondowoso Islamic Boarding School, East Java? 3) How  is the leadership practice of the nature of tabligh kiai in the development of the Ra'iyatul Husnan Bondowoso Islamic Boarding School, East Java? 4) What is the leadership practice of the nature of fathanah kiai in the development of the Ra'iyatul Husnan Bondowoso Islamic Boarding School in East Java? This research is a qualitative research with a type of case study research. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the qualitative data analysis of the Milles and Huberman model, namely: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The validity of the data is carried out through source triangulation and technique triangulation. This study came to the conclusion that: 1) The nature of siddiq is reflected in information openness, honesty, transparency, and the suitability between words and actions that make kiai an example for all pesantren residents. 2) The nature  of trust is realized through the management of pesantren that is transparent, accountable, responsive to the needs of students, as well as the development of facilities and infrastructure in a sustainable manner to support the welfare and well-being of the Islamic boarding school. The learning process of the students. 3) The nature of tabligh can be seen from the communication skills of the kiai that are effective, open, and easy to understand, as well as the existence of space for all elements of the pesantren to convey aspirations, criticisms, and suggestions in the policy-making process. 4) The nature  of fathanah is reflected in the ability of the kiai to think strategically, innovatively, and wisely through the development of the education system, the use of technology, the improvement of pesantren facilities, and the decision-making that Prioritizing the needs of students and the progress of Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of phonological errors in President Prabowo Subianto's state speech which was broadcast on the tvOneNews YouTube channel on October 20, 2024. Using a qualitative descriptive methodology, we analyzed speech recordings for 47 minutes and 23 seconds (~8,500 words). The analysis identified three categories of phonological variations: phoneme addition (5 instances), phoneme removal (8 instances), and phoneme change (17 instances). The most dominant forms are phoneme changes, specifically vowel reduction (/a/ → /&partial;/) and diphthongs simplification (/ai/ → /e/, /au/ → /o/). Statistical analysis using spectral analysis software (Praat v6.1.27) revealed that speech speed (3.2 syllables/second) was the main causal factor for phonological variation, rather than local dialects or nonformal language habits as previously hypothesized in a similar study. These findings are in line with universal psycholinguistic principles regarding vowel reduction in fast speech. The study found that 47% of the variation was a systematic pattern (frequency ≥5 occurrences), indicating stable idiolects rather than random errors. These findings have implications for public speaking training programs at institutions such as LAN (State Administration Institute) and Language Centers, suggesting that formal language development requires attention to phonological aspects, in particular pronunciation accuracy and speech speed management, rather than mere prescriptive normative.

Abstract

Reading and writing are two essential dimensions inextricably intertwined in the process of language acquisition and mastery, where reading operates as a receptive cognitive process and writing as a productive cognitive process. Although previous literature has largely proven a positive correlation between these two skills at the primary and vocational education levels, the transition of reading experiences into the skill of producing complex narrative texts at the Senior High School (SMA) level has not been comprehensively explored. This study aims to deeply analyze how reading experience affects the cognitive and linguistic abilities of high school students in developing the structure, plot, and vocabulary richness in narrative text production. The research method applied is qualitative with a Literature Review approach that examines ten recent relevant journal articles. The synthesis results from various literature confirm that reading interest and reading habits consistently serve as a crucial foundation in facilitating idea generation and enriching students' active vocabulary repertoire. In the specific context of high school students, the depth and variety of reading experiences directly correlate with high-level cognitive abilities to compose narratives that are more coherent, logical, and rich in stylistic language. The readability level of teaching materials is also found to be a determinant factor in determining the quality of input that will be transformed into written output. The conclusion of this study asserts that without an adequate and challenging literacy ecosystem, the capacity for advanced narrative text production in high school students will experience stagnation, thus requiring pedagogical interventions that fully integrate analytical reading activities with creative writing practices.

Abstract

The School Literacy Movement (GLS) at the elementary school level is often still stuck in the mechanical routine of reading printed books for 15 minutes before lessons start, without meaningful pedagogical integration. In today's era of digital disruption, the cognitive and behavioral characteristics of elementary school students, who are inherently digital natives, demand the adaptation of learning media that is much more interactive, multimodal, and ecosystemically connected. This study aims to comprehensively review the literature related to teachers' innovative strategies in transforming conventional GLS into a digital-based reading literacy ecosystem, as well as identifying the various structural and cultural challenges that accompany it. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method through the extraction of empirical data from various academic publications. Key findings show that the most effective teacher strategies focus on the integration of information technology (IT)-based learning media that is balanced with Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) competencies. The paradigm shift in the role of teachers from mere supervisors of reading activities to curators and facilitators of digital literacy has been empirically proven to be able to increase students' active participation, deepen reading comprehension through visual-auditory stimulation, and build critical reasoning skills. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the transformation of GLS is not just a process of digitizing texts, but a re-engineering of the pedagogical ecosystem that requires the adaptive capacity of teachers and synergistic collaboration from all stakeholders to create a sustainable literacy culture.

Abstract

The development of modern lifestyles has given birth to different views on the purpose of consumption, where conventional economics places material satisfaction (utility) as the main orientation, while Islamic economics emphasizes the benefit and welfare of the world-hereafter (falah) as the goal of consumption. This research aims to analyze Islamic consumer behavior theory, its basic principles, factors that influence it, and its implementation in modern life. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method through a literature review of books, scientific journals, and relevant Islamic economic sources. The findings of the study show that Islamic consumer behavior is built on the principles of halal and thayyib, balance (wasathiyah), justice and utility, as well as the prohibition of israf and tabzir, so that consumption is not only seen as an economic activity, but also as a form of worship that has social and spiritual responsibility. In addition, religiosity, social environment, culture, economic conditions, and psychological factors have been proven to influence a Muslim's consumption patterns in the face of globalization and digitalization. The implications of this study show that the application of Islamic consumer behavior can be an alternative in building wiser, ethical, and sustainable consumption patterns, while strengthening the development of the Islamic economy in the midst of modern society.

Abstract

The Islamic capital market has become a strategic component of the Islamic financial system by providing investment instruments that comply with Sharia principles while supporting sustainable economic development. Along with the growing public awareness of halal investment, the Islamic capital market in Indonesia has experienced significant growth. This study aims to analyze the concept of the Islamic capital market in Indonesia, examine its differences from the conventional capital market, identify the factors influencing its development, and evaluate the opportunities and challenges it faces. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using the library research method by reviewing scientific literature, laws and regulations, and other relevant references. The findings reveal that the development of the Islamic capital market is driven by supportive government regulations, increasing Islamic financial literacy, advancements in market infrastructure and financial technology, product diversification, and stable economic conditions. However, its development continues to face challenges, including limited public literacy, inadequate product innovation, competition with the conventional capital market, and the need for stronger regulatory support. Therefore, greater collaboration among the government, regulators, financial institutions, academics, and the public is essential to enhance financial literacy, encourage product innovation, strengthen regulatory frameworks, and ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of Indonesia's Islamic capital market.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of production and consumption in Islamic economics and examine the behavior of Muslim producers and consumers based on sharia values. The research uses a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was obtained from various secondary sources in the form of books, scientific articles, and journals relevant to the research theme. Data analysis is carried out through the process of collecting, grouping, and interpreting various literature related to production and consumption activities in the perspective of Islamic economics. The results of the study show that production activities in the Islamic economy are not only oriented to maximize profits, but are also directed to realize the benefits, justice, and welfare of the community in accordance with sharia principles. Muslim producers are required to apply the values of honesty, responsibility, and produce halal and useful goods and services. Meanwhile, consumption behavior in the Islamic economy is based on the principles of halal, tayyib, balance, and the avoidance of excessive behavior (israf) and extravagance (tabdzir). The rationality of Muslim consumers is not only aimed at obtaining material satisfaction, but also considers the spiritual aspects and achievements of the sharia maqashid. Thus, production and consumption in the Islamic economy reflect the integration of economic goals and moral values aimed at creating just and sustainable welfare.
