Background: This study counts the number of leukocytes using a manual method. The natural materials used are lime, lemon, and tamarind, which contain glacial acid and citric acid with a pH below 2.0. These acids can lyse blood cells, except for leukocytes (white blood cells). Objective: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of varying concentrations of starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi) on the number of leukocytes (white blood cells). Method: This research employs an experimental method. The number of leukocytes is counted from the juice of starfruit at concentrations of 5% and 10%. The objective is to find the most effective concentration compared to the standard Turk solution as a control. Conclusion: The data were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA. The average number of leukocytes in the control group was 6,500, in the 10% concentration was 6,450, and in the 5% concentration was 4,500. The results of statistical tests and hypotheses showed a significance value of 0.000, which is less than ? (alpha) (0.05), thus the null hypothesis is rejected and there is a significant difference. The 10% concentration proved to be the most effective in replacing glacial acetic acid in the Turk solution.

Introduction: Humans use water to fulfill various daily needs. Each individual's water needs vary from one location to another and at each level of demand. The higher the standard of living in a place, the greater the need for water. Objective: This study aims to examine the quality of water in several depots in Tanjung Morawa District. Method: The method used in this study is a gravimetric method in which the parameters measured determine the quality of water, namely TDS (Total Dissolved Solid) and TSS (Total Suspended Solid). Then measure the pH using a universal pH indicator, litmus paper and a pH meter. As well as the measurement of taste and turbidity. Result: The results of this study indicated that 8 out of 9 samples of TDS levels had levels higher than the maximum 2010 PERMENKES quality standard, namely 500 mg/L. TSS (Total Suspend Solid) is still lower when compared to the maximum standard content of refill drinking water stipulated by SNI (Indonesian National Standard) for clean water, which is 50 mg/L. The pH level is within normal limits, there is a sweet taste in drinking water and at turbidity levels clear drinking water has particles and is clear without particles.

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder that can lead to serious complications, including impaired kidney function. Serum creatinine is one of the key parameters used to evaluate renal function in diabetic patients, as its concentration remains relatively stable and is not significantly influenced by protein intake. This study aimed to assess the profile of serum creatinine levels in patients with T2DM at RSU Haji Medan as an early indicator of potential renal complications. A descriptive study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. The study involved a total of 25 hospitalized T2DM patients who underwent serum creatinine testing. All available medical records were included as the sample. Out of 25 patients, 15 (60%) showed creatinine levels within the normal range, while 10 patients (40%) had elevated creatinine levels. The mean creatinine concentration was 2.42 mg/dL in male patients and 0.85 mg/dL in female patients. The findings indicate that a portion of T2DM patients have already experienced reduced kidney function. Regular monitoring of serum creatinine is essential for early detection and prevention of diabetic kidney complications.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the risk assessment of patients falling by nurses at Sri Pamela Tebing Tinggi Hospital in 2023. The method used is an analytical descriptive approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population involved all nurses on duty in the inpatient room, with samples taken by purposive sampling. Data were collected through direct observation of the implementation of fall risk assessments and structured interviews. The results showed that most nurses had carried out a good fall risk assessment, but there were some nurses who had not reassessed low-risk patients with a fall if there was a change in condition. Fall risk prevention measures have also been well implemented, although there are still shortcomings in implementation of high-risk fall prevention measures. It is recommended to hospitals to improve training and supervision for nurses, as well as strengthen the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the assessment and prevention of fall risks.
