Welfare: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is a blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of the results of community service. The articles published in the Welfare Journal include the results of original dedication. All publications in the journal Welfare are open access which allows articles to be freely available online without any subscription. Welfare is published four times a year by the literacy service journal as a journal manager at Faculty of Islamic Economis and Business, IAIN Kediri. Welfare accepts manuscripts or articles to strengthen the fields of applied and social sciences from various academics and researchers, both nationally and internationally. The scope is Society Development and Engagement focus on Social, Human Resource Development, Management, Business Management, Islamic Economics, Zakat, infaq, alms, waqf, bank and non-bank financial institutions, and MSMEs.. This journal contains research-based community service results such as PAR (Participatory Action Research), ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development), CBR (Community-Based Research), Service Learning, Community Development, and other methodologies.

Abstract

The vision of higher education always leads to the dharma of higher education. One manifestation of the Tridharma of Higher Education is scientific work or conducting research. This socialization aims to map the needs of journal managers and improve journal governance, especially governance related to OJS journals at Graha Nusantara University Padangsidimpuan. The expected output is that journal managers will receive an overview, information, suggestions, and input related to OJS management from managed journals, such as costs for publishing an article. This socialization provides benefits and understanding regarding the financial governance of the journal, so that it can indirectly improve the quality and ranking of the journals that are managed. This socialization aims to improve the image and competitiveness of institutions by increasing the value of both study program accreditation and university accreditation.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the ability of IT Insan Kamil Cikarang Middle School teachers in conducting learning evaluations using the Computer-Based Test (CBT). Teachers will be given training and an introduction to CBT and given practice to create questions and enter them into the CBT platform. The training method used is a competency-based training approach using demonstration methods and hands-on practice in learning. The results of this training indicate an increase in teacher competency in designing, developing, and implementing information technology-based learning evaluations. It is hoped that this program can increase effectiveness and efficiency in learning evaluation, as well as increase student motivation in learning. Challenges that need to be overcome include the lack of understanding and use of technology by teachers and students, and the need for the right approach in implementing CBT. This program is expected to provide greater benefits for teachers and students.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are community economic activities that stand alone, are small scale, and are managed by community groups or families. The product label is the identity of a product that will be marketed. Product labels can make it easier for consumers to choose the product they want to buy and become a business brand booster in an increasingly competitive industry. Therefore, labels are very important so that these products can be recognized by the general public. Lack of interest and a market reach that is not too broad make this business not very well known among the general public. This is influenced by elements of product sales such as service quality, product, marketing, and packaging, which also support each other. After going through several innovations, it is certain that sales will increase and consumer interest in these pastries will increase. Existing social media can also be used to make sales. The business activities that are owned have developed. This is evidenced by the response of business actors who say that the marketing sector for their products is starting to expand and that their products are starting to be recognized by their buyers due to the display of labels on the packaging of their business products.

Abstract

The country of Indonesia is predominantly Muslim. Zizwaf is a means of distributing wealth in the Islamic economic system. The potential for collecting Ziswaf funds is very high. Seeing the potential for so many Ziswaf funds, they need to be managed properly so that they can develop the community’s economy. In the Kediri district, there is an Amil institution called Kotakamal Indonesia (KAI), which has various innovative programs starting with collection and distribution. At Kotakamal Indonesia, there are many programs for channeling ziswaf funds, one of which is the Talent School Roadshow program. The activity method uses a structured implementation method. The Indonesian charity box has the goal of improving the standard of living of disadvantaged people in the economic or educational fields. The Indonesian Kotamal Institution not only distributes ziswaf funds but also teaches several talents to be taught to orphans and the poor. Therefore, the Talent School Roadshow program will be carried out by the Kotamal Indonesia institution.

Abstract

Community service activities are training and mentoring in an effort to improve the performance of reading the Qur'an for students of SDN 02 Klepu. This assistance aims to keep oral from errors in reading the Quran, the lack of Quran reading skills possessed by SDN 02 Klepu students is targeted in this PPM activity. This is one of the most important problems because this institution is an institution based on Islamic values so that the skill of reading the Qur'an is a basic ability that must be possessed by students of SDN 2 Klepu Kec. Soko Kab. Ponorogo. This mentoring program was attended by around 46 students and students, while the implementation consisted of several stages on the concept of makarijul letters in reading the Qur'an. This assistance lasts for 3 days from April 4 to 6, 2023. The results of this service show that the ability to read the Quran possessed by SDN 02 Klepu students has increased.

Abstract

This community service activity is in the form of religious counseling for students of SMP Sultan Agung Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta. Instilling religious values in students is one of the character education methods that the government continues to campaign for in the midst of the many cases of delinquency being committed by students at this time. The purpose of this community service activity is to educate students about the history of the Isra' Mi'raj of Prophet Muhammad SAW. The methods used in this activity are observation, outreach, evaluation, and lectures. This service program was carried out at the Ainul Huda Mosque, Nyamplung hamlet, Margokaton, Seyegan, and Sleman. From this activity, it was concluded that it provided motivation and enthusiasm for students about the importance of praying. In addition, this activity also provides understanding and knowledge about the Isra' Mi'raj event because not all students of Sultan Agung Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta Middle School know about the history of the Prophet Muhammad SAW's Isra' Mi'raj event.

Abstract

The government system in Indonesia, village/ward, is the lowest organizational unit of Government. The rural population is the essential capital of development. Batu Putih Kenek is a village area with a population that is classified as not too dense; through the latest data obtained from the village office and the results of interviews with the head and village officials obtained data on the population of Batu Putih Kenek Village, namely 2,965 people with details through gender, namely by population male = 1,390 people and female population = 1,573. The method used is the Palricipal Rural Alpralization (PRAl) which is simply the PRAl method is defined as a method in the process of capitalizing on malsyalralkalt by maintaining the awareness of active palsipalsial malsyalralkalt. Even though the library has a significant and strategic role as a partner in supporting the national goal, namely educating the nation's life, the allocation of funds for library development still needs to be improved.

Abstract

Business actors in Raba Baka village do not yet know the importance of packaging for the products they sell, one of which is the rengginang sweet potato business. The method we use is to assist in the manufacture of cassava root and packaging. The results achieved by Rengginan products are made with cassava raw materials, which are the local potential of Raba Baka Village, and contemporary kemsan with standing pouches. We hope that the current products and packaging can increase the selling value of the product so that the income of MSMEs can increase. Activities are carried out in several stages, namely conducting service, selecting partners, and conducting training and development. As a community service, we provide assistance and training regarding the importance of developing product packaging for increasing product sales.

Abstract

Assistance for micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) products in obtaining halal certification through the SEHATI program is carried out with the agenda of assistance in obtaining halal certification as an effort to increase consumer confidence and increase market share. Apart from that, there is a program from the SEHATI government for free halal certification, which can provide benefits for business owners in registering halal product management. The approach method used is descriptive qualitative research using field research. This service uses methods of socialization and direct assistance for MSME actors to obtain complete halal certification permits. From the discussion, it is known that there are 30 MSME players who have successfully registered and obtained halal certification for their products.

Abstract

This activity aims to improve the ability of State Administration Study Programme students at Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau State Islamic University to make scientific papers. A common problem found is the difficulty of obtaining relevant theory in research. This has had an impact on the use of statutory products as a research theory, so much so that it affects the quality of the scientific papers produced. To overcome these problems, mentoring activities are carried out using the Publish or Perish application. Through the use of this application, participants will easily obtain a large number of scientific articles in a very short time. The scientific article can be used as a research theory. Prior to this activity, none of the participants knew about this application. Based on the results of the evaluation, after this activity, the participants will know the functions and all the features contained in this application. In addition, participants have also been able to install this application independently and use it properly. Thus, it can be concluded that this activity has succeeded in increasing the ability of participants to write scientific papers.
