Welfare: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is a blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of the results of community service. The articles published in the Welfare Journal include the results of original dedication. All publications in the journal Welfare are open access which allows articles to be freely available online without any subscription. Welfare is published four times a year by the literacy service journal as a journal manager at Faculty of Islamic Economis and Business, IAIN Kediri. Welfare accepts manuscripts or articles to strengthen the fields of applied and social sciences from various academics and researchers, both nationally and internationally. The scope is Society Development and Engagement focus on Social, Human Resource Development, Management, Business Management, Islamic Economics, Zakat, infaq, alms, waqf, bank and non-bank financial institutions, and MSMEs.. This journal contains research-based community service results such as PAR (Participatory Action Research), ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development), CBR (Community-Based Research), Service Learning, Community Development, and other methodologies.

Abstract

The Kampus Mengajar 4 program, which is carried out at SMP Satap Padadita, is expected to be able to advance the quality of education through the collaboration of students, subject teachers, and students in the classroom. The limited infrastructure in schools and the ability of teachers to utilize learning technology result in students being less interactive and quickly bored in carrying out learning. One of the programs that can be carried out is to provide assistance to teachers by utilizing technology to create an effective learning process in the classroom in science subjects. The method used is direct practice using learning support technologies such as PowerPoint and learning videos downloaded via YouTube, as well as direct observations outside the classroom. This hands-on practice was carried out in two classes, namely class VII-A with a total of 24 students and class VII-B with a total of 26 students, and was carried out in two meetings. The results obtained are that students become more active, happier, and better understand the learning material provided by the teacher.

Abstract

The government system in Indonesia, the village or ward, is the lowest organizational unit of government. The rural population is the essential capital of development. If the rural population can be fostered as well as possible, then it is hoped that it will become a very valuable human resource for development. In this regard, the government establishes policies, especially in the area of equal distribution of opportunities to obtain education and information for all Indonesians, that are directed at increasing the nation's intelligence and increasing the ability to participate in development activities. Batu Putih Kenek is a village area with a population that is classified as not too dense. Through the latest data obtained from the village office and the results of interviews with the head and village officials, we obtained data on the population of Batu Putih Kenek Village, namely 2,965 people, with details by gender, namely male population = 1,390 people and female population = 1,573. In implementing the village library, many obstacles arise, among them inadequate human resource competence, low public interest in reading, a limited number of collections, and the most dominant problem, the limited budget for the development of the library itself. Even though the library has a significant and strategic role as a partner in supporting the national goal, namely educating the nation's youth, the allocation of funds for library development still needs to be improved. Because this problem is fundamental in nature, it directly impacts all library development programs at all types and levels, especially at the village or ward library level.

Abstract

Science and technology in the field of the drug industry are advancing along with the development of the disease. The existence of a health insurance program encourages the emergence of various drug dosage forms in the community. These technological advances have given the public easy access to information, for example, about medication. Hard drugs, psychotropics, and narcotics can be obtained at pharmacies with a doctor's prescription, while limited over-the-counter drugs can be obtained at licensed pharmacies and drugstores. The outreach method used in this service, which is carried out online with the existence of socialization and education activities through the virtual Chinsibu, can be useful and can apply directly to the family and around the Dagusibu. The conclusion obtained from this service is that many residents get DAGUSIBU information.

Abstract

Administrative training in student organizations has an important role in improving administrative order and strengthening student soft skills. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of text training in the context of student organizations at UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. The background of this research is the need to improve the quality of administration and develop student soft skills in student organizations. The method of conducting this research includes the stages of training assistance, designing training programs, implementing training, and evaluating training results. The training program is designed to cover administrative skills, which include time management, document management, effective communication, and problem solving. Based on the results of the research, it can be interpreted that administrative training is effective in creating administrative order and strengthening student soft skills in student organizations at UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. This training makes a significant contribution to improving students' physical skills and soft skill development. Suggestions for further research include involving a control group to compare the effectiveness of the training with the group that did not receive training.

Abstract

The problem of climate change is causing a decline in public health, so by paying attention to this as a government partner, the Pharmacy S1 Study Program Department has the responsibility to participate in educating the use of fruit, spices, and toga as body detoxification. Infused water is a drink consisting of water enriched with added flavors and nutrients from natural ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, and spices. The purpose of this activity is to provide education to the public on how to maintain health in the face of increased rainfall and extreme climate change by consuming infused water. The method used in this activity is to provide education about making infused water and distributing infused water products made by the service team to students of SMK N 2 Rangkas Bitung. The result of this service is that the students of SMK N 2 Rangkas Bitung know how to make infused water and are equipped with bottles and infused water products to practice directly.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in Sapelang Village, South Buko District, with the topic "Institutional Assistance and BUMDes Management". The purpose of implementing this community service activity is to transfer knowledge and provide solutions to problems faced by prosperous BUMDes. The implementation method used is mentoring, which consists of providing material on BUMDes institutions and BUMDes management, accompanied by practice and evaluation. The results of the practice and evaluation of BUMDes management participants have been understood, so they know the main duties and responsibilities of each based on a clear organizational structure and understand making standard operating procedures and BUMDes management consisting of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising thanks to practice and answering questions correctly. There are suggestions that this activity should be carried out for about 1-2 days in order to achieve maximum results.

Abstract

The youth generation has an important role in the process of developing a good nation, especially in the fields of education, religion, and social life. To make this happen, there needs to be a forum that is able to become a space for youth to move, one of which is youth organizations. The youth organization is a forum for young people to make progress in the local village. In addition, youth organizations have a strategic position and are urgently needed to answer social problems and sharpen the creativity of the youth of Sumbergondang Hamlet and Sumberbanjar Village. The problems that occur are very diverse, starting from the lack of concern for youth towards the Youth Organization, which caused the Youth Organization to decline for several years so that there was no improvement in the quality of youth in the village. The purpose of this service is to arouse youth interest in organizing so that the organization can run well, youth can unite, and members can become more structured and registered. The service method used is participatory action research (PAR), with the results of the service showing the success of rebuilding the Sumbergondang Hamlet Youth Group, which had been vacuumed.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membuat guru mampu melakukan penelitian ilmiah, termasuk PTK, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pengembangan profesionalisme. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah bagaimana mengoptimalkan pembuatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas bagi guru SD di Desa Rijang Panua. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan pendekatan sosialisasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi, dan praktik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mencapai target yang ditetapkan. Prestasi yang dicapai adalah guru mampu menghasilkan PTK yang berkualitas. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat diikuti oleh 25 guru dari target 30 guru. Dengan demikian, capaian peserta mencapai 83% atau dapat dinilai baik. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pencapaian target materi telah sesuai dengan yang direncanakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini dan dapat dinilai baik.

Abstract

Basically, the purpose of human life is to find comfort and happiness in life. Meanwhile, the aging process experienced by the elderly causes them to experience various kinds of feelings such as sadness, anxiety, loneliness, and irritability. The elderly are people who are aged 65 years and over; this age will distinguish someone who is still an adult or an elderly person. In the view of Indonesians, the elderly are people who are over 60 years old. More than 60 years, because generally in Indonesia it is used as the maximum working age and the signs of aging are starting to appear. Old age is part of the process of growth and development. Humans do not suddenly grow old; they develop from babies, children, and adults and eventually grow old. So that this doesn't happen, the elderly need various activities, such as counseling about the stages of growth and development of happy elderly people. After participating in the counseling process, the elderly are able to explain and understand the keys to being happy, useful, and quality elderly.

Abstract

Garbage is a very difficult problem to overcome, especially in developing countries. Even though it can be overcome, the costs required for processing this waste are generally relatively large, especially when using high technology. Nowadays, the waste that we encounter is plastic waste because so many people use plastic in carrying out their daily activities. Now we know that used plastic bottles have many benefits. So, from now on, don't ever abandon used plastic bottles; instead of throwing them away, we'd better make them into more useful items. Besides, there's nothing wrong with making crafts to fill our free time. We can make unique crafts, and what's more, if the results are good, we can sell these unique items.
