Abstract

From this research it can be concluded: (1) educational values identified in Javanese culture to 28 values. Those values, among others, religious, respect, harmony, mutual assistance, harmony, caring, humble, appreciative, loyal, honest, fair, sincere, creative, hard work, discipline, teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, self- , brave, strong, self-sacrificing, consistent, vigilant, steadfast and patient, clever grateful, democratic, united in love and unity. (2) Transformation of the Javanese cultural values in in the aristocratic family in Surakarta classified into two kinds. The first is the family of aristocratic who lived around the palace belonging transformation progress is change or shift in cultural values towards progress. The second, aristocratic family who live far away from the palace also considered underwent a transformation progress but the rate of transformation regress (toward decline) higher than the aristocratic families who live around the palace, (3) educational values in Javanese culture is relevant to 16 character value proposed by Raharjo and 18 character value issued by the Ministry of National Education of Indonesia in 2010. Abstract

The objectives of research were to find out: 1) the relationship between the attitude of tolerance with patriotism students. 2) The relationship between understanding of national movement history with patriotism students. 3) The relationship between the attitude of tolerance and understanding of national movement history with patriotism students. The population of research was all of the XI grades of SMA Islam 1 Surakarta of academic year 2016/2017, consisting of 68 students. The sample used is of 40 students. The sample was taken using random sampling technique. The technique of collecting data used were questionnaire. The technique of analyzing data used was a multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, multiple correlation analysis (F-test), R2, and relative and effective contribution. The conclusion of research were as: 1) there was a positive relationship between the attitude of tolerance with patriotism students. It could be seen from the multiple linear regression analysis (t-test) the showing that tstatistic > ttable, that is 3,197 > 1,687 and the significance value of 0,03 < 0,05. 2) There was a positive relationship between understanding of national movement history with patriotism. It could be seen from the multiple linear regression analysis (t-test) the showing that tstatistic > ttable, that is 2,653 > 1,687 and the significance value of 0,012 < 0,05. 3) There was a positive relationship between the attitude of tolerance and understanding of national movement history with patriotism students. It could be seen from the multiple correlation analysis (F-test) the showing that Fstatistic > Ftable, that is 15,200 > 3,270 and the significance value < 0,05, of 0,000.

Abstract

The objectives of research were: 1) to analyze whether or not there is a significant effect of the Sangiran Museum existence on the historical awareness of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo students, 2) to analyze whether or not there is a significant effect of leaning interest on the historical awareness of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo students, and 3) to analyze whether or not there is an effect of the Sangiran Museum existence and the learning interest on the historical awareness of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo students. The population of research was of the eleventh and twelfth graders of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo. The sample consisted of 60 students taken using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The necessary data was obtained using questionnaire and documentation. The result of regression analysis obtained linear regression equation. It could be seen from the following linear regression equation: Y = 17.229 + 0.496X1 + 0.310X2. The result of the hypothesis test can be conclude : (1) The hypothesis ?The existence of Sangiran Museum affected positively the historical awareness of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo students? was supported. It was based on the multiple linear regression analysis (t-test) obtaining tstatistic > ttable­ 5.185 > 2.021 and significance value of 0.000 < 0.05,  with relative contribution of 82.9% and effective contribution of 44.5%. (2) The hypothesis ?Learning interest affected positively the historical awareness of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo students? was supported. It was based on the multiple linear regression analysis (t-test) obtaining tstatistic > ttable­ 2.685 > 2.021 and significance value of 0.010 < 0.05,  with relative contribution of 17.1% and effective contribution of 9.2%. (3) The hypothesis ?The existence of Sangiran Museum and the learning interest affected positively the historical awareness of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo students? was supported. It was based on multiple linear regression variance analysis (F-test) obtaining Fstatistic > Ftable­ 15.355 > 3.230 and significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. (4) The coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.537, indicating that the 53.7% of the historical awareness of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo students was affected by existence of Sangiran Museum and the learning interest, while the rest was affected by other variables. Keywords: existence, interest, and awareness

Abstract

The objectives of research were: 1) to find out the relationship between understanding of historical values with attitude of national integration of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri Gondangrejo year 2016/2017. 2) to find out the relationship between social attitude with attitude of national integration of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri Gondangrejo year 2016/2017. 3) to find out the relationship between understanding of historical values and social attitude simultaneously with attitude of national integration of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri Gondangrejo year 2016/2017.This research employed quantitative method with correlational research design. The population of research was all of the XI IPS students of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo year 2016/2017. Constinting of 130 students. The sample used  in this study consisted of 98 students. The sample was taken using random sampling technique. Technique of collecting data used were test and questionnare. Technique of analyzing data used in this study were correlational and regression analyses.The conclusions of research were as: 1) there is a positively relationship between understanding of historical values with attitude of national integration of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri Gondangrejo year 2016/2017. It could be seen from the multiple linear regression analysis showing that tstatistic> ttabel, 2,069>1,664 and significance value 0,039< 0,05 with relative contribution of1,34 %  andeffective contribution of 0,89%. 2) there is a positively relationship between social attitudes with attitude of national integration of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri Gondangrejo year 2016/2017. It could be seen from the multiple linear regression analysis showing that tstatistic> ttabel,13,598>1,664 and significance value 0,00< 0,05 with relative contribution of98,68% andeffective contribution of 65,33%. 3) there is a positively relationship between understanding of historical values and social attitude simultaneously with attitude of national integration of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri Gondangrejo year 2016/2017. It could be seen from the multiple linear regression variance analysis showing that Fstatistic>Ftabel,93,156>3,090and significance value 0,00< 0,05. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0,662 indicated that understanding of historical values and social attitude  affected 66,2 % attitude of national integration of students XI IPS SMA Negeri Gondangrejo year 2016/2017, while the rest affected by other variables.

Abstract

The objective of research is to find out: (1) the history of Syekh Jangkung; (2) cultural elements contained within the building complex of the tomb of Syekh Jangkung; (3) form of ritual pilgrimage at the tomb of Syekh Jangkung; (4) Effect of pilgrimage at the tomb complex activity Syekh Jangkung towards socio-economic communities. Based on the results of research can be concluded: (1) Saridin the son of Ki Ageng Keringan named Syed Abdullah 'Asyiq with Sujinah/ Dewi Samaran. Saridin is the first name of Syekh Jangkung. (2) cultural elements contained in the tomb complex of Syekh Jangkung buildings include: a). gate with paduraksa shaped and briefly temple; b). Pendopo is have a roof form joglo; c). Dome-shaped house joglo covered with lotus flowers; d). incorporating mosque with roasted panggang pe roof. (3) Form of ritual pilgrimage at the tomb of Syekh Jangkung begins with the sowing of flowers and burning incense by the officer taking the tomb and ends with "Tirto Usodo" by pilgrims. (4) Effect of activity on the complex journey to the tomb of Syekh Jangkung socio-economic communities is a). the social field can change the way people dress around, can increase the sense of kinship and mutual cooperation; b). the economy is creating jobs that can reduce unemployment. Abstract

This study aims to find out; 1) the difference effect between Inquiry and Direct Intruction learning models toward learning achievement of history, 2) the difference effect between Inquiry land Direct instruction toward learning achievement history viewed from high learning independence, 3) the difference effect between Inquiry land Direct instruction toward learning achievement history viewed from low learning independence 4) the interaction effect between the model of learning and learning independence in learning of achievement of history.This study use a quantitative approach to experiment with factorial design 2 x 2. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Kroya, Cilacap District, Central Java. The sampling technique used is the technique of simple random sampling, in this study the sample were students of class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kroya. Data were collected by means of is test and questionnaires. Those data were analyzed  with Two way Anava test with different content of cel, followed with multiplr comparison of Scheffe method with level of significance 0,05. Before analysis, Validity test conducted by Product Moment Correlation, reliability using Cronbach?s Alpha and KR 20 test for normality and homogenity test.The result of hypothesis show that (1) there were  significance between Inquiry and Direct Intruction learning model toward learning achievement (Fhitung> Ftabel or 40.723>3.16). (2) the were significance between Inquiry land Direct instruction toward learning achievement history viewed from high learning independence (sig 0.000<0.05). (3) there were significance between Inquiry land Direct instruction toward learning achievement history viewed from low learning independence (sig.0.006<0.05). (4) there was no effect interaction between teaching with the independence learning towards their achievement of history (sig. 0,533 >0,05).

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to describe: (1) the New Order government policies against the press, (2) the press orientation and position during the New Order government, (3) the media bans which occurred during the New Order government, (4) the impact of media bans which occurred during the New Order government, (5) the relevance of the research for current Indonesia history study. This research used historical method with the sources were interviews, primary and secondary written sources. Data collection techniques used interviews with the actors of history and literature studies in various libraries. The data analysis technique used was the historical analysis techniques with content analysis. The steps taken in the historical method were: (1) heuristic, (2) criticism, (3) interpretation, (4) historiography.The study results concluded: (1) the New Order government policy of press were preventive and repressive; (2) the press orientation and position during the New Order government era sourced by company administrative management and government role domination; (3) press banning during the New Order era started from authoritarian attitude and government policy deviation of press; (4) the impact of press banning in the New Order era were press depoliticization, commercialization, and deterioration of press and public relations with the government; (5) banning of the press during the New Order government relevated with information and political communication study in Current Indonesia History course material.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to identify: (1) the Politieke Inlichtingen Dienst history in Hindia-Belanda; (2) the role of Politieke Inlichtingen Dienst in taking care of political stability of Hindia-Belanda government; (3) the forming impact of Politieke Inlichtingen Dienst to the national movement in Hindia-Belanda.This study employed a historical history. The procedure of historical method included heuristic, critical, interpretation, and historiography. Technique of collecting data used was library study. The data source employed in this research was written source. In line with its type, the technique of analyzing data used in this research was historical analysis one.Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) Forming of PID was influenced by two factors, there are intern dan ekstern factor. On May 6th, 1916, PID was formed by former Common Captain Staff of KNIL, W. Muurling. PID was formed to perceive and observe the possibility of the overseas threat and revolutionary activity in the country; (2) PID has responsibility to collect all information concerning any movement that happened in society. Based on the report which is gotten from PID, Governmental of Colonial can take the correct decision to be applied; (3) Forming impact of PID in Hindia-belanda that is the happening of "Crisis Movement".

Abstract

Dimulai dari Desa Sala, yakni identitas yang muncul jauh sebelum berdirinya Keraton Kasunanan, desa ini tumbuh sebagai dampak dari aktivitas perdagangan yang melewati Sungai Bengawan Sala pada masa kekuasaan Kasultanan Pajang. Pada periode berikutnya, Desa Sala berganti nama menjadi Surakarta Hadiningrat, pada masa ini wilayah tersebut tidak lagi sebagai desa namun berubah menjadi Ibu Kota Kerajaan Mataram. Setelah masuknya VOC yang diikuti Pemerintah Kolonial Belanda, Surakarta menjadi Kota Residen yang membawahi beberapa wilayah di sekitarnya. Pada masa inilah Surakarta mengalami modernisasi yang luar biasa, sehingga jati diri Surakarta tidak hanya sebagai Ibu Kota Kerajaan namun sudah menjadi kota yang multikultural. Masa kota ini membangun modernitas tidak dapat dilepaskan dari peran kolonialisme serta intrekasi multietnis pada masa itu. Aktivitas interaksi masyarakat masa kolonial seakan-akan melukis rewlief yang sekarang dapat bercerita tentang masa lalau kota ini.    Keywords: Surakarta, modernisasai, kolonialisme

Abstract

This research aims to determine how the teaching of history applying cooperative learning model using learning together (LT) type with audio visual media can increase the awareness of history and learning outcomes of the second grade students of Social 1 in Gondangrejo Senior High School. This research applies classroom action research which was held at Gondangrejo Senior High School even semester batch 2015/2016. The subject of the research is the students of Social 1 even semester of Gondangrejo Senior High School batch 2015/2016 with a total of 34 students. This research was conducted in two cycles with the stages of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis technique that consists of three main stages which are data collection, data reduction and conclusion. The result shown in the research can be concluded that application of cooperative learning model using learning together (LT) type with audio visual media can possibly increase the awareness of history and learning outcomes of the second grade students of Social 1 in Gondangrejo Senior High School. It can be seen from the percentage of awareness of history and the learning outcomes that achieve a specified target that is 80% for a minimum percentage of the classical sense of history and 75% for the percentage of classical completeness learning outcomes. After being given the action for two cycles, the results showed an increase in both the students? awareness of history and the student learning outcomes. The level of awareness of the history achieved by the students at the pre-cycle was 68%, it increased to 74% in the first cycle and 82% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, for the learning outcomes achieved by students in pre-cycle with an average of 65.53 in the first cycle increased to 72.41 and on the second cycle the percentage of classical completeness increased to 77,59 with 20.59% inthe pre-cycle in cycle, increased 44.11%in the first cycle and 76.47% in the second cycle.
