Abstract

Pantai Sepanjang merupakan salah satu pantai di selatan Provinsi DIY tepatnya berada di Desa Kemadang, Kecamatan Tanjungsari Kabupaten Gunungkidul Yogyakarta. Pantai Sepanjang merupakan pantai berpasir putih dengan substrat pantai terutama berupa karang mati dan karang berpasir, yang sangat cocok sebagai habitat tumbuhan dan hewan laut. Salah satu tumbuhan yang mendominasi daerah pasang surut adalah makro alga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman spesies makroalga yang ada di Pantai Sepanjang beserta distribusi dan nilai pentingnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode line transek menurut Trono (1998). Sampling makro alga dilakukan di daerah intertidal pada saat air surut yang berlangsung 1-2 jam sebelum air laut mengalami pasang kembali. Hasil penelitian di lapangan diidentifikasi di laboratorium Botani Pendidikan Biologi dengan menggunakan buku panduan makro alga menurut Trono; Tjitrosoepomo; Adi Yudianto; V.K. Dhargalkar dan Devanand Kavlekar; Emma Wells; Guillermo Diaz-Pulido dan Laurence J. McCook; W.F. Prud?homme van Reine dan G.C. Trono Jr (editor). Penghitungan Nilai Penting yang terdiri atas komponen Densitas Relatif, Dominansi Relatif dan Frekuensi Relatif menurut Trono (1998). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 13 spesies makro alga yang terbagi dalam 3 (tiga) kelas, yaitu Clorophyceae 6 spesies, Rodophyceae 5 spesies dan 2 spesies Paeophyceae. Spesies Boergesenia forbesii dari kelas Clorophyceae memiliki distribusi yang paling merata. Sedangkan Enteromorpha flexuosa memiliki Nilai Penting (NP) tertinggi yaitu 69.84 dengan nilai Densitas Relatif (DsR) = 30.98, Dominansi Relatif (DR) = 24.92 dan Frekuensi Relatif (FR) = 13.94. Nilai penting terendah adalah Caulerpa racemosa dari kelas Clorophyceae yaitu sebesar 1.08 dengan nilai Densitas Relatif (DsR) = 0.05, Dominansi relatif (DR) = 0.21 dan Frekuensi Relatif (FR) = 0.82. Kata kunci: keragaman, distribusi, nilai penting, makro alga

Abstract

AbstractThis is the descriptive-quantitative research which aimed to know the student achievement on biologywhich specify in a view point of their learning method, motivation and EQ. Acceleration class program of2d grade student of SMA Negeri III Surakarta was the object of this research. Clustered random salmplingwas used to collect the data, which was held by questionaire and documentation. Analysis of Variance wasused to analyze the data.The result showed that any learning method was suitable for the student of acceleration pragrams,since we know that they have the more prominent academic ability. Various EQ and learning motivationwere occur, then can be concluded that EQ and learning motivation were still affected their achievement.Key words : Acceleration class programs, Student achievement

Abstract

ABSTRACT-This research aimed to identify a model of biotechnology teaching used by  Senior Highschools, to develop a model of entrepreneurship-based biotechnology teaching and  to identify the effect of the model on students learning achievement, entrepreneurship attitude. The design of research involved using research and development (R&D) paradigm, consisted of 3 major steps, namely conducting an introductory research focussing on need analysis, developing a model of entrepreneurship-based biotechnology teaching, and then finally evaluating the efficiency of model. The findings showed that models of  biotechnology teaching at Demak Senior Highschools did not yet satisfy the principles of School Competency-based Curriculum (KTSP). A model of  entrepreneurship teaching was then necessary to develop, including its silabus & lesson plan, learning resources, student worksheets. The effect of the model upon students learning was significantly high. There was significants difference in cognitive as well as psychomotoric  learning achievement between control and treatment groups. The effect of the model upon students attitude towards entrepreneurship was significantly high. There was significant difference of attitude between control and treatment groups. The average attitude of treatment group was 90. The effect of  the model on students process of learning (learning activities) was also significant significant, their average activity was 86,5 (very high), the average of  teachers activities was significant (88,30), and classroom-based learning assessments results was 82,8 (high). Majority of students (95%) felt happy with the model of teaching, because it improved their attitude toward entrepreneurship was also improved. Abstract

SMPN5 Surakarta has outstanding vision and cultured on faith and Piety.the subjects of biology in this Surakarta SMPN5 not as expected, on his way to the front of learning in general should be improved particularly in the teaching of science including biology science subjects. research that has been conducted on 32 students are 47.5% of students who pay attention to the lessons, 12.5% of students dreamy, sleepy students 7.5%, 12.5% of students do not focus on the subject and only 20% of students participate in learning. lack of student interest in the learning process led to the success of student learning achieved suboptimal anyway. Research conducted in the semester began in July to December 2013, with the implementation of measures in October to November 2013 in SMPN5 Surakarta with the subject viii h grade students who are 32 students. On the first cycle students learn in a large group of 8 students in one group, while in the second cycle students learn in small groups, namely 4 students in one group. Each stage of each cycle consisting of planning actions, implementation of action, observation and reflection action. data using quantitative descriptive analysis by comparing the initial conditions of mastery learning cycle 1 and cycle 2. The results showed a significant increase in interest in learning from the initial condition is active only 8 students to 30 students are active, attentive and happy while learning. learning outcomes of students has increased from baseline to 1 cycle of 21%. cycle 1 to cycle 2 increased 6%. learning outcomes from baseline to 2 cycles increased 29% The results of these studies indicate that through role playing learning model can improve student interest and learning outcomes. Keywords:     interest, the learning outcomes, role playing

Abstract

Black potatoes (Coleus tuberosus Benth.) is a crop that has a high carbohydrate content and resistance to pests and diseases better than other types of potatoes grown in the highlands. Productivity some of black potato?s cultivars grown by farmers varies between regions. The research was conducted to study the growth response and production of three cultivars derived from Blora, Sragen and Purwokerto on four levels of NPK fertilization there are without fertilizer, 3, 6 and 9 grams for each plant, respectively. Black potatoes were planted in polybags using bulbs that had germinated during one week.The results showed a dose fertilization and its interaction with the type of black potatoes kutivar not significantly affect observations on plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight of plant, dry weight of plant and tuber weight, but among cultivars showed differences in growth. The difference in growth between cultivars is not caused by fertilization treatment but causes by genetic differences. Cultivars derived from Sragen showes growth and tuber production better than the other cultivars.Keywords : Coleus tuberosum, black potato, resistance, fertilizer

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to find the contribution of the teacher?s competence and student?s emotional quotient toward the achievement on biologi of the student of SMU Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in the academic year of 2004/2005. The study carried out by descriptive quantitative method. The population of the study was all student of the second grade in SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo, in the academic year of 2004/2005. The sampling teachnique used in the study was random sampling. The technique used for collecting data were questionnaire and documentation technique. The data were then analized by regression analysis. Considering upon the result, the research concluded that there were significant contribution of the : (1) Teacher?s competence to biological learning achievement (rx1y = 0,450 at the level of significant 5 %); (2) Student?s emotional quotient to biological learning achievement (rx2y = 0,410 at the level of significant 5 %); (3) Teacher?s competence and student?s emotional quotient (R = 0,5373 at the level of significant 5 %). Teacher?s competence gives a dominant contribution on biological learning achievement at 56,49%. Teacher?s competence and student?s emotional intelligence give effective contributions on biological learning achievement at 28,8%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran model Science Technology Society melalui metode eksperimen lapangan dan laboratorium, pada siswa yang memiliki sikap peduli lingkungan dan kreativitas verbal kategori tinggi dan rendah, terhadap prestasi belajar biologi siswa, serta interaksinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode true experiment. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Petanahan Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling sebanyak 2 kelas, yaitu kelas X4 dan X7. Kelas X4 diberi pembelajaran dengan metode eksperimen lapangan dan kelas X7 dengan metode eksperimen laboratorium. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes untuk mendapatkan data prestasi belajar kognitif, psikomotor dan kreativitas verbal siswa, metode angket untuk mendapatkan data sikap peduli lingkungan, prestasi belajar afektif serta metode observasi untuk memperoleh data afektif dan psikomotorik. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan anava tiga jalan dengan desain faktorial 2x2x2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : penggunaan metode eksperimen lapangan dan eksperimen laboratorium berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik siswa; ada pengaruh sikap peduli lingkungan  terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor; kreativitas verbal berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif, afektif, dan  psikomotorik; ada interaksi antara metode dan sikap peduli lingkungan terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif, afektif,  dan psikomotorik siswa; tidak ada interaksi antara metode dan kreativitas terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif, afektif,  dan psikomotorik siswa; ada interaksi antara sikap peduli lingkungan  dengan kreativitas verbal terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor, tidak ada interaksi antara metode, sikap peduli lingkungan, dengan kreativitas verbal terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif, afektif,  dan psikomotorik siswa. Kata Kunci: Science Technology Society, Eksperimen Lapangan, Eksperimen Laboratorium, Sikap Peduli Lingkungan, Kreativitas Verbal

Abstract

ABSTRACT- This research aims to raise student competence trough the application of constructivism approach. A cooperative Problem Based Learning is used to achieve the aforesaid goal. This is a classroom action research that performed towards 48 university student at the fourth semester in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The          dependent variable in this research was student?s competence whereas the independent variable is the application of the aforementioned approach and model.
