Abstract

AbstractThe Curriculum of 2004 can be succesfully conducted if teachers have a correct perception on it. So,this research concerning on the perception of the teachers of biological subject upon the curriculum. Theperception it self was interpreted in a view point of organization, and the interpretation toward the curriculum.23 teachers on biology were used as sample which were taken from the population of teachers onbiology of Sukoharjo district (belongs to 7 junior high schools. The data were collected by using checklist,interview and documentation. Two form of checklist carried out were the attitude scales and the knowledge.The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively in a percentage.The result of this research indicate that the attitude of teachers on biology to the Curiculum of 2004were in the medium scale, beside the knowledge about the curriculum were in the good scaleKeywords: Perception toward the curiculum of 2004, teachers in biology

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to invent the red-algae diversity, its distribution, and the contribution of physical environment to the algae it self and their habitat. Transect method was used with plot area of I X I m. Study area, 289 m in length, was divided into 3 station with 7 transects and 49 plots. Species diversity, abundance, physical and chemical environmental factors and the pattern of distribution were the focused on. The result showed that 7 species of red-algae were founded, consist of: Corallina sp, Gellidium sp, Laurentia sp, Gigartina sp, Eucheuma sp, Gracilaria sp, and Gymnogongrus sp. The frequency and coverage from the best to the least were as follows: Corallina sp 0,43% and 2,42%; Geilidium sp 0,83% and l9%, Laurentia sp 1% and 10,04%; Gigartina sp 0,83% and 11,8%; Eucheuma sp l% and 2,16%; Gracilaria sp l% and 9% and Gymnogongrus sp 0,28% and 0,95%. The distribution of each species of red algae was clumped. Physical and chemical environmental factor were driving the distribution of the red- algae. Thus, the habitat was determined on the rocky substrate with some growth orientation toward the sea. Key words: Rhodophyceae diversity, Alternative learning resources

Abstract

ABSTRACT- It has been widely accepted that environmental degradation is caused mainly by human anthropogenic activities. Indeed, injudicious exploitation towards    natural resources has caused many negative externalities. Hence, cultural efforts are needed due to prevent further degree of degradation. According to the aforementioned goals, people behavior becomes a key factor of realizing sustainable environment. And this change of behavior can be achieved through education. As pertained to the             importance of education in environmental conservation Toyota has contributed to to this good programme trough the programme called the Toyota Eco-Youth (TEY).  This green programme is performed towards students of SMA Negeri 1 Depok. A research about  environmental awareness then is needed to assess student?s motivation to participate in the Toyota Eco Youth programme. This research is considered as a quantitative research. Questionnaire was used to collect the data from all the responden. Samples are taken  randomly in a proportional manner. The collected data were descriptively analyzed by  using descriptive statistic. The result of this research shows that student of SMA Negeri 1 Depok is higly motivated in performing environmentally friendly action. This condition is a good physiological capital to realize chapaign to promote a good environmenta attitude towards the youth. Keywords : Environmental attitude, Student?s motivation, Toyota Eco Youth

Abstract

This research is aim to find out the different comprehension of human respiration system concept in the Novick type of constructivism learning with concept map and the varied lecturing learning. This study was a quasi-experimental research using Post-test Only With Nonequivalent Groups research design. The sampling technique used was Cluster Sampling one. The populations of this research were all of 11th degree students of science at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2012/2013. The samples of this research were the students of 11th Imersi I as experiment group and 11th Imersi II as control group. Technique of collecting data used was a  multiple choice test with reasoning, essay test, and observation sheet. The hypothesis testing was carried out using t-test. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan Home dan Classroom Science Process Skill, sikap ilmiah, rasa ingin tahu dan interaksinyaterhadap prestasi belajar Biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen, populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 6 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Sampel diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling terdiri dari 2 kelas IX E dan IX G.  Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes untuk mendapatkan data prestasi belajar kognitif, metode angket untuk mendapatkan informasi rasa ingin tahu, sikap ilmiah dan prestasi belajar afektif dan psikomotor, serta observasi untuk pendukung prestasi afektif dan psikomotor. Data dianalisis menggunakan anava tiga jalan dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2 x 2 dan frekuensi sel tidak sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1. metode eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan Home dan Classroom  Science Process Skill memberikan pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar; 2. tidak ada pengaruh antara sikap ilmiah terhadap prestasi belajar; 3. tidak ada pengaruh antara rasa ingin tahu terhadap prestasi belajar; 4. tidak ada interaksi antara pendekatan Home dan Classroom Science Process Skill dan sikap ilmiah terhadap prestasi belajar; 5. tidak ada interaksi antara pendekatan dengan rasa ingin tahu dengan prestasi belajar; 6. tidak ada prestasi interaksi antara sikap ilmiah dan rasa ingin tahu terhadap prestasi belajar; 7. tidak ada interaksi antara metode eksperimen, pendekatan Home dan Classroom Science Process Skill, sikap ilmiah, dan rasa ingin tahu terhadap prestasi belajar.Kata kunci : metode eksperimen, pendekatan Home Science Process Skill, Classroom Science Process Skill, materi ekskresi.

Abstract

This is collaborative action research wich carried out toward student of SMP Nergeri 16 Bandar Lampung. The aim of this research was enhancing the self learning motivation by using Problem Based Intruction (PBI) model. The research conducted in 2 cycles, using the criteria of teacher?s performance and student?s ability toward biological learning. The data awas then analized and interpreted to show the improving teacher performance for each cycle. The result showed that the teacher was a good fascilitator (score 2,98 in cycle 1 and 2,93 in cycle), so it?s able to enchace the self learning motivation of student, indicated with the increasing point of the readiness of study, the higly motivated in answer and question interaction, ability in answering the questions, giving opinion, creative, and highly initiative to study. That self learning motivation then gives rise to the average class mark even its equitability thus showed the better teaching and learning processes.   Key Words : Problem Based Intruction (PBI), Self Learning motivation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mengembangkan modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi keanekaragaman makhluk hidup untuk memecahkan masalah belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran; menguji kelayakan produk modul  pembelajaran yang dikembangkan; dan menguji efektivitas produk modul untuk mata pelajaran IPA siswa SMPN 1 Kendal Kabupaten Ngawi. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan mengacu pada modifikasi model pengembangan Borg and Gall (1989), yang meliputi 5 tahap yaitu,  tahap studi pendahuluan, tahap desain produk (perencanaan dan pengembangan draf produk), tahap validasi dan revisi, tahap uji coba dan revisi produk, dan produk akhir. Uji coba dilaksanakan dalam 4 tahap, yaitu tahap pertama review dengan ahli isi/materi serta ahli media pembelajaran, tahap kedua uji coba praktisi, tahap ketiga uji coba produk kelompok kecil terhadap 10 siswa, tahap terakhir uji coba lapangan dalam setting eksperimen terhadap 49 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: perolehan rata-rata penilaian hampir semua tahapan, yaitu pada uji coba ahli  adalah 3,6 dalam skala empat, nilai tersebut termasuk kategori ?sangat baik?. Pada uji coba oleh praktisi total rata-rata keseluruhan adalah 3,8 dalam  skala empat (?sangat baik?). Pada uji coba skala kecil total rata-rata keseluruhan adalah kategori 3,7 dalam skala empat (?sangat baik?). Pada uji coba lapangan total rata-rata keseluruhan adalah 3,7 dalam tabel skala empat (?sangat baik?); efektivitas produk dilihat melalui skor rata-rata post test kelompok yang diberi perlakuan  adalah 84,96 dan skor rata-rata post test kelompok yang menggunakan modul tanpa multimedia adalah 79,21. Hasil uji coba dengan menggunakan uji t menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan nilai yang diperoleh siswa yang menggunakan modul disertai multimedia dan siswa yang menggunakan modul tanpa multimedia. Kata kunci: Inkuiri terbimbing, multimedia, keanekaragaman makhluk hidup

Abstract

AbstractThis is the descriptive-quantitative research which aimed to know the student achievement on biologywhich specify in a view point of their learning method, motivation and EQ. Acceleration class program of2d grade student of SMA Negeri III Surakarta was the object of this research. Clustered random salmplingwas used to collect the data, which was held by questionaire and documentation. Analysis of Variance wasused to analyze the data.The result showed that any learning method was suitable for the student of acceleration pragrams,since we know that they have the more prominent academic ability. Various EQ and learning motivationwere occur, then can be concluded that EQ and learning motivation were still affected their achievement.Key words : Acceleration class programs, Student achievement

Abstract

ABSTRAK-Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran dengan diagram Roundhouse terhadap kemampuan kognitif,  dan metakognitif siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Ngaglik Sleman Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA N 1 Ngaglik Sleman Yogyakarta. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA N 1 Ngaglik Sleman. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa yang terdapat pada kelas XI IPA 1 dan  IPA 2 yang ditentukan berdasarkan pertimbangan guru mata pelajaran biologi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan design penelitian semu dengan design nonrandomized control group pretes dan postes design. Instrumen penelitian yaitu soal tes dan lembar inventori metakognitif. Data hasil penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan uji anakova dan uji Mann Whitney U. Hasil penelitian pada kelas dengan pembelajaran menggunakan diagram Roundhouse diperoleh data rata-rata kemampuan kognitif sebesar 71,41 dan  kemampuan metakognitif 115,2.. Sementara itu pada kelas pembelajaran konvensional  diperoleh data rata-rata kemampuan kognitif sebesar 57,33,  dan kemampuan metakognitif 113, 76. Hasil uji statistik data diatas diperoleh nilai signifikansi kemampuan kognitif 0,002, dan kemampuan metakognitif 0,00. Hal ini berarti ada perbedaan  kemampuan kognitif  dan metakognitif kelas kontrol dan eksperimen.   Keywords:Pembelajaran Diagram Rounhouse, Kemampuan Kognitif dan Metakognitif
