Abstract

The modeling of neuron-astrocyte interactions in neural networks has been successfully carried out using the Brian2 simulator. The neuron model used is Integrate and Fire, while the astrocyte network model is defined by the Li-Rinzel equation which involves the IP3Rs (q) activation fraction which affects the value of calcium concentration in astrocytes. Interaction modeling between neuron networks and astrocytes involves four types of connections, namely connections between neurons connected by synapses, connections between astrocytes in the form of gap-junction channels (GJCs), synaptic connections to astrocytes and astrocyte connections to synapses. The synaptic connection to the astrocytes is made to trigger the activation of the astrocytes by releasing the neurotransmitter. The astrocyte connection to the synapses is established as a route for the production of the gliotransmitter. The modeling results show that the information transfer mechanism carried out by neurons is in the form of electric current wave propagation, while the information transfer carried out by astrocytes is in the form of calcium wave propagation.

Abstract

Research on electroencephalography (EEG) design as a detector of brain signal activity in the frontal lobe based on Arduino Uno has been completed. EEG is a tool used to record electrical activity in the human brain. This research aims to make a non-clinical EEG device that is portable and low-cost. The research procedure is divided into three stages. The first stage is to design an EEG system using the Eagle application. The second stage is to create an EEG system which consists of the primary circuit of the EEG system, power supply, Arduino Uno, and two electrodes. The third stage is testing the EEG system, which includes testing the instrumentation amplifier, low pass filter, power supply, Arduino ADC consistency, and initial testing of EEG performance to record brain signals. The instrumentation gain is 51 times based on the test with an average accuracy rate of 99.09%. Meanwhile, the cut-off frequency obtained is 70 Hz. The comparison between brain signal measurements using a single electrode prototype EEG and standard EEG Emotiv Epoc with electrode placement at points Fp1 and A2 (ground) show almost the same pattern. So it can be said that the single EEG system created has been successfully used to record brain activity in the frontal lobe area.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the absence of an intruder detection device capable of processing images using OpenCV 4. This study aimed to design and manufacture an intruder detection device using a camera, Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, and OpenCV 4. This research was conducted in 2 stages, namely designing and manufacturing intruder detection device. The design of the device was carried out using the Sketchup 2018 software. The making of this device was carried out in 3 processes, namely making hardware, making dataset, and making software.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh tidak tersedianya sistem pemantau serta kontrol kelembapan, suhu dan pH media budidaya cacing yang bekerja secara otomatis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem pemantauan serta kontrol kelembapan, suhu, dan pH. Rancangan sistem dibuat menggunakan software Fritzing. Sistem yang dirancang terdiri dari nodeMCU, sensor DS18B20, pH meter, sensor YL-69, relay, kran air (kran air biasa, kran air kapur, dan kran air ketapang), pemanas, dan kipas.

Abstract

This study will discuss the characteristics of the frontal area brain electrical signals in cigarette addicts before and after smoking based on QEEG analysis. Several neuroimaging techniques are used to understand the relationships between brain functionality. Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) is a non-invasive technique that can be used to provide an overview of brain functionality through several physical quantities being assessed. Recording of brain signals using Emotiv Epoc 14 electrodes and only focuses on 8 frontal area electrodes (AF3, F7, F3, FC5, FC6, F4, F8, AF4) and 2 reference channels. The number of test subjects in the study was 5 people, male with an age range between 20-25 years. Brain recording was done when the eyes were open, eyes closed, and the task was to do math problems. Data analysis methods include pre-processing of EEG data to remove noise and artifacts, calculation of spectral power using Welch's periodogram, and analysis of brain functional connectivity by calculating the amount of intra-hemisphere and inter-hemisphere coherence. The results of the analysis of the spectral power showed that before smoking an increase in the spectral power occurred at the delta and alpha wave frequencies, and a decrease occurred in the theta wave frequencies. Meanwhile, after smoking an increase occurred in the frequency of delta, alpha and beta waves and a decrease occurred in the frequency of theta waves. The coherence analysis results showed a significant difference in the coherence of the right intra-hemisphere of theta wave frequency and the inter-hemisphere coherence of beta wave frequencies before and after smoking.

Abstract

This study aimed to detect the aroma pattern of pigskin and cow-hide using E-Nose. This research was conducted by collecting data. Data were collected using Electronic Nose (E-Nose) and GeNose datalogger software. The software only displays the stress data of the two aroma patterns of cow hide and pigskin in real time, but has not been able to display the difference between the two aroma patterns. The aroma pattern of pigskin and cow hide has been detected and the radar plot shows the performance that there is one TGS sensor that does not respond to the aroma patterns of the two skins, namely TGS 2612, while the TGS sensor that responds is seven TGS sensors.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the earthquake phenomena that have occurred in the Yogyakarta area due to the 2006 earthquake. This study aims to determine the earthquake hazard index based on the method developed by BNPB and JICA by making earthquake hazard distribution maps correlated with settlement maps. This research was conducted in Sanden District in the south of Bantul Regency. The BNPB and JICA methods utilize four main parameters, namely shear wave velocity at a depth of 30 meters (Vs30), Ground Amplification Factor (GAF), accelerated ground rock vibration (PGASB) and acceleration of surface ground vibration (PGA). Vs30 is obtained from the inversion method using microtremor measurement data, the Vs30 value is converted into a GAF value using the formula Midorikawa et al (1994), for PGASB it is obtained from the PUSKIM website, based on the earthquake hazard index mapping guide the Vs30 and PGASB values obtained if multiplied then will get the surface PGA value then the surface PGA value is reclassified by the type of class based on the BNPB and JICA methods. The results showed that the value of Vs30 ranged from 154.66 m / s to 260.80 m / s, GAF values ranged from 1.64 g to 2.09 g, PGASB values ranged from 0.52 g to 0.67 g, and PGA values surface ranges from 0.87 to 1.32 g. The earthquake hazard index covers the entire Sanden District with an index value of 1 and the highest distribution of settlements prone to earthquake hazards is in the entire study area.Keywords: Microtremor, Vs30, GAF, surface ground vibration acceleration (PGA), PGASB, earthquake.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the liquefaction phenomenon that has occurred in Yogyakarta area due to the 2006 earthquake. This study aims to find out the probability of liquefaction based on the Global Geospatial Model (GGM) method and create a map of the distribution of liquefaction-prone settlements. This research was conducted in Sanden Subdistrict in the southern part of Bantul Regency. The GGM method utilizes three main parameters: shear wave speed at a depth of 30 meters (Vs30), acceleration of ground vibration (PGA) and ground wetness index (CTI). Vs30 is derived from the inverse method of microtremor measurement results, PGA is obtained from the PUSKIM website and the CTI value is obtained from the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology's (CEH) website. The results showed that vs30 values ranged from 154.66 m / s to 260.80 m / s, CTI values ranged from 5.45 to 9.28 and PGA values ranged from 0.52 g to 0.67 g. The potential for liquefaction occurred throughout Sanden Subdistrict with a probability value of > 0.99 and the highest distribution of likuefkasi-prone settlements in the east of the research area.

Abstract

The analysis research of borax contaminant in cilok using high power UV-LED fluorescence spectroscopy system was successfully done. This study aimed to analyze borax in cilok using a high power UV-LED fluorescence spectroscopy system and to determine its precision and detection limits. The stages of research of borax contaminant in cilok was carried out by preparing tools and materials, sampling, data collection, and data processing. Testing of detection limit was carried out with a variety of borax contaminants of 0% - 40% from 20 grams of cilokandprecisiontestingwasdonebyrepeatingthetestofeachvariation5times. TheresultsshowedthathighpowerUV-LEDfluorescencespectroscopysystemwas used successfully in analyzing cilok contaminated with borax. In addition, the test results showed that the system has precision of 100% and detection limit of2.6%.

Abstract

Safe is a tool used to store goods or assets and securities. Generally, a safe uses an analog lock made of metal and a rotary combination lock as a security system. However, the existing safe is not equipped with an information system that will notify the owner when the safe is accessed. This research was developed a safe security system using a digital key in e-KTP form which is detected by RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) sensor and the system was equipped with an information system based on nodeMCU ESP8266 to send notifications. The system designed consists of RC522 RFID module used to detect the e-KTP ID of the safe accesser. RFID connected to the nodeMCU platform which is an IoT device and connected to the cloud via wifi ESP8266. The information contained in the cloud from the IoT device and forwarded to the receiving smartphone as notification.
