Abstract

This research purposes to determine the effectiveness of group guidance with symbolic modeling technique for improved students achievement motivation. This research using quasi experimental non equivalent control group design with the middle high school student who have low achivement motivation as research subject. The achievement Motivation level is determained with achievement motivation quitionnaire was validated using product moment test and for reliability test using Alpha- Cronbach test. The Test results showed that group guidance with symbolic modeling technique effective for improved students achievement motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the students? discipline to school rules through group-counseling with self-management technique. This study utilized pre-experiment research approach with one group pretest-posttest design. The subject of this study was 5 students who achieved low score for discipline to school rules. The data collecting technique used was questionnaire instruments on discipline to school rules which validity and reliability had been tested. The result of the study was statistically analyzed by Wilcoxon.The result of this study showed that discipline to school rules of the subject of this study was improved which was shown in the difference mean score achieved before and after the treatment was given. It was 57 for the pretest and 81 for the posttest. It was supported by the Z score from Wilcoxon test that was -2.090 with 0.039 significance. Hence it could be concluded that group-counseling with self-management technique was effective to improve the discipline to school rules of the 8th grade students of junior high school.

Abstract

This research was Quasi Experimental Design. The subject of this research werethe students of eighth grade of Junior High School who have low emotional intelligence. Those subject got by the value of Q1 and divided into two groups, control group and experiment group which each group composed of 31 students which choosen proportinately according to pretest score. The result of the research show the result of T-count 3,141 with p vale 0,03. So, it can be concluded that there were significant difference between experiment group that accept role playing treatment, with control group that don?t accept role playing treatment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of self-awareness training to improve the self-adjustment of student. This study was a quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experimental Design) to design Nonequivalent control group design that consist of the experimental group and the control group. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon. The conclusion of this research was that self-awareness training was an effective way enhance the self-adjustment of student.

Abstract

This study was aimed to know about: (1) the condition of social interaction of junior high school students, (2) the level of emotional intelligence of junior high school students, (3) the contribution of emotional intelligence towards social interaction of junior high school students. The method which used in this study was a descriptive correlational study. The population was 266 of eight grades students of junior high school students. The sample was 159 taken by simple random sampling technique. The instruments in collecting data were questionnaires of social interaction and questionnaires of emotional intelligence. The technique which used to analyze data was simple linier regression and analysis statistic. The result of this study showed that: (1) the condition of social interaction of junior high school students was average, that was 57,9 %, (2) the level of emotional intelligence of junior high school students was average, that was 62,9 %, and (3) the contribution of emotional intelligence towards social interaction of junior high school students was 49,1 %. Based on that result, it could be concluded that were an important role and contribution of emotional intelligence towards social interaction of eight grades of junior high school students. It was useful for students to optimize the ability of dealing with up and down of living towards the better life.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kondisi interaksi sosial siswa. (2) tingkat kecerdasan emosional siswa SMP, (3) kontribusi kecerdasan emosional terhadap interaksi sosial siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif korelasional. Populasinya adalah 266 siswa SMP. Sampelnya adalah 159 siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket interaksi sosial dan angket kecerdasan emosional. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dan  analisis statistik. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) interaksi sosial siswa kelas VIII tergolong sedang, yaitu 57,9 %, (2) tingkat kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas VIII tergolong sedang, yaitu 62,9 %, (3) kecerdasan emosional berkontribusi terhadap interaksi sosial siswa kelas VIII sebesar 49,1 %. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa adanya kecerdasan emosional  memiliki peranan penting dan berkontribusi terhadap interaksi sosial siswa SMP. Hal ini berguna bagi siswa untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuannya dalam menghadapi lika-liku kehidupan untuk mencapai kehidupan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of interpersonal communication training through homeroom technique in group guidance to improve the self-disclosure of the students in Grade VIII of State Junior High School. This research used the quasi experimental method with the non-equivalent control group design. It involved two groups, experimental group and control group. Each group consisted of 10 students. The data of research were collected through questionnaire and observation sheet. They were analyzed by using the Mann-Whitney U?s test. The result of the Mann-Whitney U?s test shows that the p value = 0.001. The result of the observation sheet shows that there was an increase in the students? self-disclosure. Thus, the interpersonal communication training through homeroom technique in group guidance is effective to improve the self-disclosure of the students in grade VIII of State Junior High School

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to produce career guidance modules and effective to enhance self concept and career decision of  Vocational Students. This research were research and development which produce career guidance module to enhance self concept and career decision of Vocational Students. In order to know the effectivity of modul using One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Based on the result of expert?s judgement, practitioners judgement and data analysis of research subject can be known that career guidance module is suitable and effective to enchance self concept and career decision. It was proved from the expert judgement and practitioners judgement evaluation toward module have average score 89, it means that module has very good criteria. In the effectiveness test, based on t-tes was known that p value 0,000. It means that the Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The conclusion from this research was the implementation of career guidance module is suitable and effective to enchance self concept and career decisions of vocational students.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan modul bimbingan karir yang layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan konsep diri dan keputusan karir siswa SMK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menghasilkan modul bimbingan karir untuk meningkatkan konsep diri dan keputusan karir siswa SMK. Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui efektivitas modul bimbingan karir menggunakan teknik One Group Pretest ? Posttest Design. Berdasarkan hasil uji ahli, uji praktisi dan analisis data subjek penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa modul bimbingan karir untuk meningkatkan konsep diri dan keputusan karir siswa SMK dinyatakan layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan konsep diri dan keputusan karir siswa. Terbukti dari penilaian ahli dan praktisi terhadap modul memiliki nilai rata-rata 89, yang berarti modul memiliki kriteria sangat baik. Dalam uji efektivitas, berdasarkan uji t diketahui nilai signifikansi adalah 0,000 yang berarti bahwa hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi modul bimbingan karir layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan konsep diri dan keputusan karir siswa SMK.

Abstract

This study was initially conducted due to the fact that the are still many students found to have difficulties in learning, either because of their less precise learning methods or their low learning skill. This was shown in the number of students who did cheating during tests and a large number of students who learn only if there will be daily tests or exams. It is therefore, students? learning skill needs to be improved. To improve the learning skill, a guidance and counseling service which suits the characteristics and needs of adolescents is required. This research was using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The results shown that p-value was 0,000 (0,00<0,05). So, can be concluded that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. There was a significant difference on study skill improvement between the experimental group given the treatment and the control group who did not receive treatment.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the needs and interests of students on the development of skills in accessing job information (2) to produce a prototype of a skill access to job information through internet media. This research uses Borg and Gall development research design. This research stage only until pre-development stage that is making of product. Based on result of preliminary study and theoretical study can be developed product in the form of Skill Handbook Accessing Employment Information Through Internet Media On Vocational School Students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) describe the guidance values contained on the role of Semar in shaddow puppet show, (2) describe the suitability of guidance values and the role of Semar in guiding junior high students. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. This study examined the role of Semar because Semar?s role in guiding knights in puppet was identical with guidance counselor?s role in guiding learners. The source of the data were from some informants, serat lampahan pedhalangan, and taped documents of puppet show stories. In carrying out his role of nurturing knights, Semar fulfilled the values that should be owned by the counselor in implementing guidance and counseling services. As a tutor, Semar implemented the guiding role of facilitative, constructive, and solutions. Tutor could imitate the guidance values of Semar to be applied in carrying out the role of a counselor at school.
