Abstract

This research is a library research with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique in this study uses documentary techniques, while the methods used are content analysis and interpretation. This study aims to determine the urgency of Islamic religious education in the era of globalization. The results of this research are: The urgency of Islamic religious education in the era of globalization is as a foundation for minimizing moral degradation and creating human resources with noble character. Islamic religious education is a solution to moral degradation because Islamic religious education aims to shape people with morals and prepare competent individuals by mastering religious knowledge and science.

Abstract

Scholars differ on when the forgery of hadith began. People have falsified various hadiths for varying motives and purposes. Furthermore, for certain interests, people are able and willing to fabricate them. The term "hadith" is defined as a hadith attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) fabricated and false, even though he did not actually say he did or established it. Using a "mawdu'" hadith is invalid, and it is forbidden to narrate it unless forced or to have the hadith examined by a scholar. Based on existing historical data, hadith forgery is not only carried out by Muslims but also by non-Muslims for various motives and interests, including political conflict, the efforts of heretics, fanaticism towards nations and tribes, influencing the laity, and so on.

Abstract

There are three basic principles in teaching Arabic: priority in the presentation of teaching materials, correction and feedback, and the gradual principle in delivering material to students. Several steps are required in teaching Arabic to ensure successful and effective delivery: providing examples before explaining grammatical rules, providing examples of commonly used sentences, and providing sufficient motivation to express themselves through writing, speaking, and perhaps even facial expressions, so that students feel directly involved in the teaching process.There are two types of Arabic teaching methods: the traditional method, which focuses on "language as a culture of knowledge," so that learning Arabic means in-depth study of the intricacies of Arabic language science itself. The modern method, which focuses on the purpose of language as a means of communication in modern life, is essential.

Abstract

Education can be considered a crucial aspect of a nation's development process. Islamic religious education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character. Religious education is expected to facilitate students, starting from elementary school, in exploring and developing their faith potential from an early age. This will enable them not only to understand and apply their religious knowledge and faith, but also to live side by side with followers of other faiths. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of religious moderation values through field-based learning at an exhibition organized by the Majelis Tinggi Agama Konghucu Indonesia (MATakin) in Medan. The research employs a qualitative descriptive-reflective approach within a constructivist paradigm. The subjects consisted of six student interns who participated in the visit and interfaith dialogue with the Chairperson of MATakin Medan. Data were collected through participant observation, students’ reflective notes, documentation, and analysis of open dialogue sessions. The findings reveal that field-based learning effectively fosters both cognitive and affective transformation among students. Direct experience and dialogical interaction contributed to the reduction of stereotypes, enhancement of empathy, and strengthening of national commitment. The values of humanity and social harmony in Confucian teachings served as reflective bridges that deepened students’ understanding of religious moderation. These results indicate that the internalization of moderation values cannot rely solely on normative classroom instruction but requires contextual and dialogical engagement. Therefore, interfaith field learning may serve as a pedagogical model in higher education to reinforce social resilience and cultivate moderate character within plural societies. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis proses internalisasi nilai moderasi beragama melalui pembelajaran lapangan pada pameran yang diselenggarakan oleh Majelis Tinggi Agama Konghucu Indonesia (MATakin) Kota Medan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif-reflektif dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas enam mahasiswa peserta magang yang mengikuti kunjungan dan dialog lintas iman bersama Ketua MATakin Medan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, catatan reflektif mahasiswa, dokumentasi kegiatan, serta analisis dialog terbuka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran lapangan efektif dalam membangun transformasi kognitif dan afektif mahasiswa. Pengalaman konkret dan dialog langsung berkontribusi pada reduksi stereotip, peningkatan empati, serta penguatan komitmen kebangsaan. Nilai kemanusiaan dan harmoni dalam ajaran Konghucu menjadi medium reflektif yang memperkaya pemahaman mahasiswa tentang moderasi beragama. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa internalisasi nilai tidak cukup melalui pendekatan normatif di kelas, melainkan memerlukan pengalaman dialogis yang kontekstual. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran lapangan berbasis dialog lintas iman dapat direkomendasikan sebagai model pedagogis dalam pendidikan tinggi untuk memperkuat ketahanan sosial dan membangun karakter moderat di tengah masyarakat plural.

Abstract

This article examines the transformation of the Indonesian Buddhist Community Representative (Walubi) from a representative-bureaucratic entity into a socio-religious driving actor through the praxis of Engaged Buddhism. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method that adapts the PRISMA protocol, this research synthesizes academic literature published from 2005 to 2026 to dissect Walubi's social maneuvers in the public sphere. The results indicate that Walubi's contribution to building an inclusive society in Indonesia manifests in three movement typologies: (1) cross-boundary health philanthropy that effectively deconstructs stereotypes of minority exclusivity; (2) disaster emergency response mobilization utilizing the liminality phase to weave communal solidarity; and (3) nonviolent structural diplomacy within the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB). Sociologically, these maneuvers successfully mitigate primordial prejudice through intense cultural interactions. However, this study also finds that inclusion built upon philanthropic schemes leaves an asymmetrical class power relation, risking becoming a "pseudo-inclusion" if unaccompanied by equality advocacy in public policy. This article concludes that amidst the threat of identity politics polarization, Walubi's Engaged Buddhism movement is challenged to evolve from a mere crisis-mitigation instrument into a sustainable agent of multicultural citizenship literacy. Artikel ini mengkaji transformasi Perwakilan Umat Buddha Indonesia (Walubi) dari entitas representatif-birokratis menjadi aktor penggerak gerakan sosial keagamaan melalui praksis Engaged Buddhism. Dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang mengadaptasi protokol PRISMA, penelitian ini mensintesis literatur akademik terbitan 2005-2026 untuk membedah manuver sosial Walubi di ruang publik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi Walubi dalam membangun masyarakat inklusif di Indonesia bermanifestasi dalam tiga tipologi gerakan: (1) filantropi kesehatan lintas batas yang secara efektif mendekonstruksi stereotip eksklusivitas minoritas; (2) mobilisasi tanggap darurat bencana yang memanfaatkan fase liminalitas untuk merajut solidaritas komunal; serta (3) diplomasi struktural nirkekerasan di dalam Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB). Secara sosiologis, manuver ini berhasil meredam prasangka primordial melalui interaksi kultural yang intens. Namun, kajian ini juga menemukan bahwa inklusi yang dibangun melalui skema filantropi masih menyisakan ketimpangan relasi kuasa kelas, yang berisiko menjadi "inklusi semu" jika tidak dibarengi advokasi kesetaraan di ranah kebijakan publik. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa di tengah ancaman polarisasi politik identitas, gerakan Engaged Buddhism Walubi dituntut untuk berevolusi dari sekadar instrumen peredam konflik krisis menjadi agen literasi kewarganegaraan multikultural yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of kyai leadership in reforming the pesantren education system to make it more adaptive to the challenges of the modern era. The kyai functions not only as a spiritual guide but also as an educational leader responsible for curriculum direction, innovation, and institutional management. This study adopts a literature review method by analyzing relevant journals and academic literature from the last five years. The findings indicate that kyai who apply transformational leadership styles can integrate Islamic values with modern demands, such as comprehensive curriculum design, digital technology utilization, and character building. These efforts contribute to making pesantren education more adaptive, competitive, and relevant to current societal needs. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan kyai dalam mereformasi sistem pendidikan pesantren agar lebih adaptif terhadap tantangan era modern. Kyai tidak hanya berperan sebagai pemimpin spiritual, tetapi juga sebagai manajer pendidikan yang menentukan arah kebijakan, kurikulum, dan inovasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka terhadap literatur dan jurnal ilmiah lima tahun terakhir. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kyai yang menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional mampu mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keislaman dengan tuntutan zaman, seperti penguatan kurikulum terpadu, pemanfaatan teknologi digital, dan pengembangan karakter santri. Perubahan ini berdampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan pesantren yang lebih adaptif, kompetitif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat saat ini.

Abstract

This study examines the application of technology in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in the digital age as a way to learn. The main problem discussed is the lagging behind the traditional PAI curriculum in facing the challenges of the digital era and the minimal use of technology to improve the quality of religious teaching. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach in three selected madrasas, through in-depth interviews with teachers and observations of the teaching and learning process. The findings from this research show that the use of technology such as digital Al-Qur'an applications, online learning platforms and interactive media has succeeded in increasing student participation by up to 35% and understanding of religious concepts by up to 28%. Other important findings highlight the importance of developing digital literacy for PAI teachers and the need for appropriate guidelines for the application of technology in accordance with Islamic values. This research concludes that the application of technology in the PAI curriculum can be an effective solution to increase the relevance of religious education in the digital era, noting the need for ongoing support for educators and monitoring of digital content. The results of this research encourage accelerated digitalization in the PAI curriculum while maintaining a balance between technological advances and Islamic values. Studi ini meneliti penerapan teknologi dalam kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di zaman digital sebagai cara untuk belajar. Masalah utama yang dibahas adalah ketertinggalan kurikulum PAI tradisional dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital dan minimnya penggunaan teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran agama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di tiga madrasah yang dipilih, melalui wawancara mendalam dengan para guru serta pengamatan pada proses belajar mengajar. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi seperti aplikasi Al-Qur'an digital, platform pembelajaran daring, dan media interaktif berhasil meningkatkan partisipasi siswa hingga 35% dan pemahaman tentang konsep keagamaan mencapai 28%. Temuan penting lainnya menyoroti pentingnya pengembangan literasi digital bagi guru PAI dan perlunya pedoman yang tepat untuk penerapan teknologi sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknologi dalam kurikulum PAI dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan relevansi pendidikan agama di era digital, dengan catatan perlunya dukungan berkelanjutan untuk para pendidik dan pengawasan konten digital. Hasil dari penelitian ini mendorong percepatan digitalisasi dalam kurikulum PAI sambil tetap menjaga keseimbangan antara kemajuan teknologi dan nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of human resources (HR) in Islamic education at SMP Negeri 1 Kamang Magek through the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) approach. This research was conducted to answer the need for a comprehensive and contextual performance evaluation model, especially in the Islamic educational environment, which assesses not only professional aspects but also spiritual values such as trust and honesty. This study expands the evaluative approach by integrating nine key indicators, including Islamic values, as differentiators from previous research. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Data was collected through an online survey using Google Forms that was distributed to 22 respondents, consisting of teachers and education staff. The instrument was developed from the Balanced Scorecard indicator and Islamic values, which consists of 35 closed-end statements divided into nine main indicators. Data analysis is carried out descriptively by calculating average scores to determine the classification of human resource performance. The results showed that most human resources were in the category of 'developing as expected', with the highest scores on indicators of professionalism (average = 4.45) and Islamic values (average = 4.41). The initiative and competency indicators received the lowest scores, 3.78 and 3.84, respectively. These findings emphasize the importance of continuous training to improve motivation, creativity, and technical competence. The limitations of this study include the small sample size of a single educational institution and the lack of in-depth construction validity testing. The practical implications of this study show the need for simultaneous strategies to improve human resources based on spirituality and professionalism. This research makes an original contribution by systematically integrating the BSC approach with Islamic values and can be a model for evaluating the performance of human resources in other Islamic educational institutions. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam pendidikan Islam di SMP Negeri 1 Kamang Magek melalui pendekatan Balanced Scorecard (BSC). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjawab kebutuhan akan model evaluasi kinerja yang komprehensif dan kontekstual, khususnya di lingkungan pendidikan Islam, yang menilai tidak hanya aspek profesional tetapi juga nilai-nilai spiritual seperti kepercayaan dan kejujuran. Studi ini memperluas pendekatan evaluatif dengan mengintegrasikan sembilan indikator utama, termasuk nilai-nilai Islam, sebagai pembeda dari penelitian sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei online menggunakan Google Formulir yang didistribusikan kepada 22 responden, yang terdiri dari guru dan tenaga kependidikan. Instrumen ini dikembangkan dari indikator Balanced Scorecard dan nilai-nilai Islam, yang terdiri dari 35 pernyataan tertutup yang dibagi menjadi sembilan indikator utama. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menghitung nilai rata-rata untuk menentukan klasifikasi kinerja sumber daya manusia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar sumber daya manusia berada dalam kategori 'berkembang seperti yang diharapkan', dengan skor tertinggi pada indikator profesionalisme (rata-rata = 4,45) dan nilai-nilai Islam (rata-rata = 4,41). Indikator inisiatif dan kompetensi mendapatkan skor terendah, masing-masing 3,78 dan 3,84. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan motivasi, kreativitas, dan kompetensi teknis. Keterbatasan penelitian ini termasuk ukuran sampel yang kecil dari satu lembaga pendidikan dan kurangnya pengujian validitas konstruksi yang mendalam. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya strategi simultan untuk meningkatkan sumber daya manusia berbasis spiritualitas dan profesionalisme. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi orisinal dengan secara sistematis mengintegrasikan pendekatan BSC dengan nilai-nilai Islam dan dapat menjadi model untuk mengevaluasi kinerja sumber daya manusia di lembaga pendidikan Islam lainnya.
