<![CDATA[Criminal acts, such as corruption, are illegal actions committed by individuals that harm the state for personalor others' benefits. Corruption is considered an exceptional crime, making investigations challenging due tothe intricate methods employed by the perpetrators. This difficulty led to the introduction of the term "perpetratorwitness" or "justice collaborator," referring to a witness who cooperates with law enforcement authorities toinvestigate the same crime. The objective of this study is to examine the legal arrangements and protectionmeasures afforded to justice collaborators in sharing information. The research employed a normative legalresearch method, utilizing library research and primary, secondary, and tertiary data sources. The findingsreveal several legal provisions, including Law No. 31 of 2014 and SEMA No. 4 of 2011, as well as forms ofprotection provided by law enforcement agencies, encompassing physical and psychological safeguards.However, it can be inferred from the study that the legal foundation for justice collaborators lacks clarity, as itholds the potential for multiple interpretations in practical implementation. <![CDATA[One type of new media that is present and becoming viral among users is social media. One of the social media in question is Instagram with the account name @semuatentangbatam. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of content on the behavior of followers of @semuatentangbatam. If so, how much influence does the theft information content have on the behavior of @semuatentangbatam followers. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The population in this study is followers @semuatentangbatam, namely 201,000 (February 2023). The technique used in sampling in this study was Probability Sampling, namely Simple Random Sampling. The researcher distributed questionnaires to the population sample, namely 399 respondents @semuatentangbatam which were calculated using the Slovin formula. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression and hypothesis testing. 3. The coefficient test results for the adjusted R-squared value are 0.325838018 or 32.6% while the remaining 67.4% is influenced by other variables. 4. The results of the simple linear regression test with the results of the regression equation Y = 2.168 + 0.445 X1 have a positive value, between the content variable (X) and the behavior variable (Y). <![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the effect of cash ratios, non-performing loans, loan to deposit ratios on profitability at Rural Banks in Batam City. This study uses a descriptive and quantitative statistical approach with a population of BPRs located in Batam City and the sample in this study totaling 21 banks selected using a purposive sampling technique and using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. From the analysis of the data, the results show that the cash ratio has an effect on return on assets with t count (3.642) > t table (1.659), non-performing loans have an effect on return on assets with t count (3.111) > t table (1.659) and the deposit ratio has an effect on return on assets with t count (1.779) > t table (1.659). Simultaneously the results of the F test cash ratio, non-performing loan and deposit ratio affect return on assets with a calculated F value (7.570) > F table 2.69).Keywords: Cash Ratio; Loan to Deposit Ratio; Non Performing Loan; Profitabilitas.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of motivation on the interest of accounting students intaking accounting certification. The sample in this study is accounting students who are actively registeredat universities in Batam. The method of random sampling is simple using the Slovin formula. The totalrespondents were 301 students from 4 universities in Batam.The method used in data collection is the questionnaire method. The questionnaire used came fromHartutik's research (2016) totaling 41 questions. The hypothesis to be tested is that some independentvariables have a significant positive effect and some have a significant negative effect in predicting theinterest of accounting students in taking accounting certification.The results of this study showed that the variables of quality motivation and social motivation separatelyaffected the variables of student interest significantly positively. While the variables of career motivationand economic motivation separately did not affect the variable of student interest in taking accountingcertification. The independent variables of quality motivation, career motivation, economic motivation, andsocial motivation together have a significant effect on the variable of student interest in taking accountingcertification]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to find out whether tax sanctions, taxpayer awareness and tax knowledge affect personal taxpayer compliance in the city of Batam. In this study, researchers used a questionnaire method. The population in this study is the number of taxpayers who report at KPP Pratama Batam Selatan. Using the Slovin formula, this study's sample represents 10 percent of the total population. This investigation utilises primary data. This study's data collection method was a questionnaire. This investigation employs the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for data analysis. With a Tcount of 3.068 > Ttable of 1.98489 and a Sig. 0.003 0.05, tax sanctions on personal taxpayer compliance are obtained with a Tcount of 3.068 > Ttable of 1.98489. This indicates that Ha is approved and Ho is rejected. Therefore, it can be partially concluded that tax sanctions have a substantial impact on taxpayer compliance in the city of Batam. The Tcount value is 1.676 Ttable 1.98489, and the Sig. is 0.097 > 0.05, based on the research findings regarding taxpayer awareness of compliance. This indicates that Ho is recognised while Ha is not. Therefore, it can be partially concluded that taxpayer awareness has no significant effect on taxpayer compliance in Batam. Based on the research results of tax knowledge on taxpayer compliance, the Tcount value is 0.817 <Ttable 1.98489 and the Sig. 0.416 > 0.05. This means that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. So it can be concluded partially that tax knowledge has no significant effect on taxpayer compliance in the city of Batam. Based on the research results of tax sanctions, taxpayer awareness and knowledge of taxation on taxpayer compliance, the Fcount value is 23.074 > Ftable 2.7 and the value of Sig. of 0.000 <0.05. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that simultaneously tax sanctions, taxpayer awareness and tax knowledge have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance in the city of Batam.]]>

<![CDATA[The similarities between Attack on Titan and the history of human civilization can be seen during World War II, when the Nazis rose to power in Germany in 1933, which was the first year the Nazis established concentration camps (Ghetto) to separate and imprison Jews, political opponents, and people who were considered inferior such as homosexuals, Roma people (Gypsies), some Slavic peoples (Russians, Poles and others) and people with disabilities. The purpose of this study is to determine the results of the representation of the background of the Nazi and Jewish conflict in the attack on titan anime series. The research method used is descriptive research conducted using a qualitative approach and using the semiotic analysis method. The researcher will observe in depth the Scene pieces from the anime series entitled attack of titan with a total of 10 scenes, the data collection used is documentation and literature study, the analysis flow follows the interactive analysis model as expressed by Miles and Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results show the anime "Attack on Titan" and historical events involving Nazis and Jews. Understanding how dialog and scenes in the anime "Attack on Titan" can be linked to actual historical events involving Nazis and Jews requires analysis of Roland Barthes' semiotic approach.]]>

<![CDATA[Notary is a public official who has the authority to make authentic deeds. Authentic deeds are needed by the community as evidence in carrying out legal actions. In the Notary Office Law it is stated that the notary as the maker of the deed must keep the contents of the deed confidential and all information obtained for making the deed. On the internet there are many copies of deeds that can be seen by internet users if they are searched for with the keyword notarial deed. Researchers want to know how the role of a notary in maintaining the secrecy of authentic deeds and how it is regulated in the Law on Notary Position. The research method used is normative legal research. The results of the discussion state that the cooperation of all parties involved in making the deed is needed in maintaining the secrecy of the deed and arrangements regarding the secrecy of authentic deeds which must be maintained are contained in Article 4 paragraph (2) of the Notary Office Law. In addition, there are also confidentiality regulations that must be maintained by certain positions in Article 1909 paragraph (3) of the Civil Code, Article 170 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code, and Article 322 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.]]>

The author uses primary data, namely by distributing questionnaires using aLikert scale to obtain processed data. <![CDATA[Modern retail is a way for companies to retail their products to final consumers for personal needs. Batam City is one of the cities that has a permit to establish a modern retail business, one of which is Indomaret. This study found a problem, namely a decrease in the number of customers in the last 3 years at 3 Indomaret stores in Batam City. The purpose of this study is to describe forms of communication and promotion in maintaining Indomaret customer loyalty in Batam City. This research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and interviews using purposive sampling method. The research analysis used the credibility test and the transferability test. The results of this study found several factors causing a decrease in the number of Indomaret customers in Batam City, including bad customer experience so that customers were disappointed such as unfriendly service, employees who were not focused and less creative in delivering promotions, product prices did not match the price tags displayed, long service or long queues, internal employee factors that affected sales declines such as not understanding the target market.]]>
