Abstract

Photocopier is a thriller drama film that tells about sexual harassment in the student environment, specifically the student environment. This film raises the point of view and events of a student named Suryani who has experienced a sexual crime incident which caused her to lose her scholarship from her place of study. This film also shows how to solve the problem of sexual harassment in the educational environment. This study aims to find out and describe what are the signs that describe the delivery of messages of sexual harassment in films through Pierce's 3 trichotomic categories, namely sign, object, and interpretant. The method used is Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory with specialization based on icons, indexes and symbols. The research method used is a qualitative research method that produces data in verbal form, not numbers. The results of this study are that there are forms and symbols of sexual harassment that occur in the student environment, based on Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis. scenes of accumulating evidence of harassment as well as feminist ideology that is visibly raised in relation to sexual harassment.

Abstract

Tourism is undeniably one of the major contributors to a country's economy, making its development crucial.Among the tourism sectors that significantly contribute to national revenue is the sport of golf. Therefore, thisresearch aims to investigate the marketing communication strategies of Golf Course Teringbay Nongsa inenhancing post-COVID19 visits and aiding the national economy. The study utilizes informant interviews toexamine the various forms of implementing marketing communication strategies at Golf Course TeringbayNongsa, employing the Integrated Marketing Communication theory as the conceptual framework. Thefindings provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of the applied strategies in attracting visitors amidstthe challenges posed by the pandemic and their potential impact on the economic growth of the nation

Abstract

In almost every business sector, competition is getting tougher. This is commonplace in the fashion sector,especially in the Thenblank ready-to-wear industry in Batam. This study attempts to ascertain the simultaneousor partial impact of product differentiation and product quality on customer satisfaction. The research methoduses multiple linear regression analysis with research data collection methods through questionnaires. Using theSlovin formula to determine sampling, a sample of 100 respondents was selected from 28,180 residents ofSagulung Kotan District. The findings show that product differentiation and product quality simultaneously havea large impact on customer satisfaction, and that the two variables also have a strong or significant positiveimpact on customer satisfaction when tested partially. Companies must continue to focus on aspects of qualityand product differentiation. Product differentiation and product quality have a beneficial impact and contributesignificantly to Thenblank's customer satisfaction, which increases from both aspects

Abstract

Cases of sexual violence against minors are a serious concern in the legal aspect of child protection.This research looks at the legal effectiveness of protecting children as victims of sexual abuse byusing violence. The case raised was decision Number 24/Pid.B/2011/PN.Sri which involved theDefendant Iskandar Wihyawari Alias Iskandar who was charged with violating Article 81 paragraph (1)of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection juncto Article64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code. Through the effectiveness of the law, the author explores theevents that occurred and their impact on the victim and the relevance of the law applied in thedecision. This research also highlights the importance of child protection and the joint responsibility ofthe government, society and legal institutions in preventing and taking action against sexual violenceagainst children

Abstract

Since the beginning of human civilization, communication has been crucial in exchanginginformation among individuals, groups, and nations. Digital communication, such as textmessaging, voice calls, emails, social media, and in-game instant messaging applications likeMobile Legends, facilitates real-time symbolic interactions across the globe. While providingbenefits, the use of these new media has also led to a decline in societal values and norms,including the emergence of verbal violence in digital communication, involving demeaning,insulting, or threatening language directed towards individuals or groups.This research aims touncover the issue of verbal violence in digital communication. The study involves the MobileLegends Squads Project TRV Community in the City. The researcher employs data collectiontechniques such as interviews and observation, and the findings reveal that digital communicationwithin gaming groups like "Mobile Legends" influences group dynamics and the well-being of itsmembers. Verbal violence in this game has negative impacts, and the moderators of the "MobileLegends" gaming groups play a crucial role in upholding communication ethics and handlingconflicts

Abstract

Microsoft Teams is a new collaboration platform that has become popular in the modern work environment, providing a wide range of features for communication and collaboration in the form of instant messaging, voice and video calling, and file sharing. The development of technology and information is an unavoidable reform in entering the 4.0 era. Users not only experience challenges in using new media but also have to be able to adapt to the media. This study aims to determine whether Microsoft Teams affects the dissemination of information to employees of PT Schneider Electric Batam. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. The sampling technique used is random sampling technique, the sample in this study is 100 employees. Research data obtained from the results of the questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression and hypothesis testing. The research results from the use of the Microsoft Teams application are said to have a positive and significant effect on the dissemination of information because the value for using the application is significant 0.000 <0.05 and the t-count value of 7.812 is greater than the t-table value of 1.984. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial rewards or salary, work environment, professional training, professional recognition, and social values on the interest of accounting students in choosing a career to become a public accountant. This research method is a purposive sample technique. This research technique was conducted by distributing questionnaires to accounting students in Batam City. Data analysis using IBM SPSS 22.00 application. The results of this study are that financial rewards and work environment have a positive effect on the interest of accounting students in decide a career as a public accountant. Meanwhile, professional training, professional recognition and social values have no significant effect. Abstract

Drugs pose a serious threat to society. Th e Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Riau Islands Regional Police plays a crucial role in efforts to prevent and combat drug trafficking in the region. This research aims to examine the communication strategies employed by the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Riau Islands Regional Police in drug prevention and control. The study adopts qualitative research methods with a narrative study approach. Data is collected through in-depth interviews with officers and officials from the Directorate of Drug Investigation, as well as documentation related to the implemented communication strategies. The research also draws upon the system theory developed by Ludwig von Bertalanffy. The research findings indicate that the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Riau Islands Regional Police has implemented various communication strategies in their efforts to prevent and combat drug trafficking. The study concludes that effective and sustainable communication strategies are key in the prevention and control of drug trafficking.

Abstract

The impact of inflation is often used as an indicator of differences of opinion regarding human resources and sources of employment, between groups of workers, and between regions. This study aims to provide a juridical analysis of the effect of inflation on labor, unemployment, and the poor on inflation and employment inequality. This study uses research data based on labor law and data analysis is carried out with this juridical framework based on law number 13 of 2003 and article 7 of law number 23 of 1999 showing the impact of inflation on human resources and sources of labor, unemployment and the poor affect development inequality in cities affected by inflation.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that uses a democratic system, so political communication is one of the main keys to theestablishment of politics in this democratic country. Communication can be in the form of conveying informationto the public by political party candidates to convey their goals to become a politician. Political communication isalso intended as a vessel for channeling people's aspirations to prospective political members who will advanceas power holders in a democratic country like Indonesia. Therefore the purpose of this study is to find out howthe communication barriers that occur in the Batu Aji sub-district community are carried out by the IndonesianDemocratic Party of Struggle and to find out what causes the delay in the political communication process. Thisstudy used descriptive research with qualitative research methods located in Batu Aji District. Data collectiontechniques used were observation and interview techniques and continued with documentation. The results ofthe discussion obtained are that the success achieved by political actors depends on how political communicationgoes well and smoothly without any obstacles, by building relationships with the community and building trust sothat there is no miscommunication that occurs in politics
