Abstract

Problems regarding the Existence of the Application of Building Use Rights in Batam City are almost often not implemented properly and not in accordance with legal procedures. Basically, the use of Building Use Rights has been regulated in the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 40 of 1996 concerning Business Use Rights, Building Use Rights and Land Rights. However, in the implementation that is carried out there are still many that are not appropriate, there are still many governments and communities do not understand the use of Building Use Rights, how to obtain Building Use Rights. One of the factors or influences is the lack of government supervision, lack of socialization and the role of the government in ensuring the effectiveness and evaluation of the implementation of Building Use Rights. Therefore, the government needs to make efforts to improve the existence and effectiveness of the implementation of Building Use Rights in Batam City, such as conducting more intensive socialization to the community, increasing supervision of the use of Building Use Rights, and the active role of the Government in implementing Building Use Rights. This study aims to analyze the existence of the applicationof Right to Build (HGB) in Batam City in understanding how to obtain Right to Build and how the Right to Build can become a Right of Property in terms of applicable laws and regulations. The research method used is literature study and analysis of documents related to Building Use Rights in Batam City, sourced from journals, books, scientific papers, theses and other official documents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image and attractiveness on Nivea productloyalty in Piayu, Batam City. This research method uses descriptive research with aquantitative approach. The population of this study are consumers who use Nivea productsand live in the Tanjung Piayu sub-district, Sei Beduk sub-district, Batam City. The totalnumber of consumers in the area reached 10,649 people. The technique of determiningthe sample through the Slovin formula with the calculation results of 386 respondents isbased on simple random sampling. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statisticaltests, data quality tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests and hypothesis testing.The findings in the multiple linear regression analysis state that brand image has a positiveeffect on loyalty with an effect size of 31%. Attractiveness has a positive effect on loyaltywith an influence size of 21.2%. The results of the analysis of the coefficient ofdetermination (R2) state that brand image and attractiveness can explain loyalty, with aneffect of 8.9%. The results of the t and F tests show that brand image and attractivenesshave a positive and significant effect partially and simultaneously on loyalty decisions

Abstract

This study aims to to determine the factors that influence the interest of accounting studentsin choosing a career as a public accountant. The data analysis method used in this studyconsisted of descriptive statistical tests, data quality tests, consisting of validity and reliabilitytests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, coefficient of determinationtests, and hypothesis testing consisting of t tests and f tests. The results of testing thehypothesis in this study indicate that partially financial rewards, job market considerations,and professional training have a positive and significant effect on the interest of accountingstudents in choosing to become public accountants, and simultaneously financial rewards,job market considerations, and professional training have a positive effect and significant tothe interest of accounting students in choosing a career as a public accountant. The testresults for the coefficient of determination in this study were 0.551, so the independentvariables in this study had an influence on the dependent variable of 55.1%, the remaining44.9% were influenced by other variables outside this study

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe juvenile justice system has been regulated in Law Number 11 of 2012 which states that children between the ages of 12 and under 18 are considered children in conflict with the law. Juvenile criminal justice is different from the general criminal justice system that applies in Indonesia. There are various factors, such as psychological and sociological factors, which can cause a child to be considered guilty of a crime. In this system, accountability for crimes committed by children prioritizes the principles of restorative justice. This study aims to understand the legal provisions that apply to children who are involved in serious crimes and to see how the form of accountability for these crimes is seen from the perspective of positive law in Indonesia. This study uses a normative juridical method by conducting literature studies related to legal arrangements related to children and analyzing them descriptively to develop the core problems in this writing. The results of the research show that Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System has regulated special legal provisions for children as criminal offenders. Children in this system have the right to receive special treatment during the investigation, prosecution and trial process so that their mental condition is maintained. In addition, the form of juvenile criminal responsibility is also based on the age of the child, and the juvenile justice system places more emphasis on restorative justice approaches and settlement through diversion.Keywords: Children, Criminal, Diversion, Justice, Responsibility,.

Abstract

Family communication between migrants (children) and their parents is a verbal and non-verbal interaction that occurs between children who live far away from home and theirparents. This communication allows them to stay connected, share information, andmaintain emotional relationships despite the distance. This research employed a qualitativemethod, utilizing Mery Anne Fitzpatrick's family relationship schema theory. The theoryillustrates communication practices within a family involving the roles of parents and children.The research findings indicate that the forms and patterns of communication adopted bymigrants from South Sumatra residing in Batam City are verbal, aligned with thecommunication practices between children and parents within Fitzpatrick's concept. Throughinterviews as one of the data collection techniques, researchers discovered howcommunication occurs using various media such as WhatsApp and video calls, enablingmigrants to exchange information with their parents in their hometown. In conclusion, thisstudy demonstrates the significance of family communication between migrants from SouthSumatra in Batam City and their parents in the hometown to overcome the obstacle ofdistance. Effective communication and strong emotional bonds help address this challenge.The family relationship schema theory provides valuable insights into understanding familycommunication, particularly between migrant children and their parents, which is crucial inmaintaining family ties despite the distance and physical separation

Abstract

The modern human being can be said to be very reliant on the ease and convenience of the internet. In the middle of the 2000s, the Internet had a boom that transformed it into a platform for disseminating content. As a result, numerous blogs, video sharing websites, and social networking sites appeared that year. Additionally, social media can be used for the good of individuals, communities, businesses, and organizations. Youtube is one form of social media that is popular with people, groups, businesses, and organizations. Credibility is the perception of a communicator based on his point of view, which offers an evaluation of the personality or character of a communicator. For a communicator, credibility is a quality they need to possess since it allows them to transmit facts and thoughts with confidence. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the trustworthiness of educational information on YouTube and its impact. Why is that? to the followers' informational requirements. A Likert scale is used to collect data through online surveys or questionnaires as part of the quantitative research methodology. According to the study's findings, followers of a YouTube account may be more interested in receiving information if it is credible. Why is that? How come, in the eyes of a YouTube account's followers? The information displayed is a subjective evaluation of the procedure or system employed by the YouTube account holder. Why is that? How come, in the eyes of a YouTube account's followers? The information displayed is a subjective evaluation of the procedure or system employed by the YouTube account holder. Why is that? in producing valuable material that meets the community's overall information demands. The conclusion is that the reliability of the content (X1) on the Youtube account has a favorable affect on raising interest in the need for information (Y). Abstract

Transportation needs are increasing in Batam City. To make it easier for the community, the Batam City Transportation Service has supported the availability of public transportation facilities. Public transportation available in Batam City is quite diverse including Trans Batam (TB), public transportation (City Transportation), city buses and others. However, until now Batam City is still very minimal in providing information services regarding transportation, such as routes, departure schedules, area coverage and others. Based on the research conducted, it has been found various problems experienced by public transportation users in Batam. The main problem found in this case is the lack of detailed information about public transportation in Batam City. Therefore the Department of Transportation innovates to design an application called SIP TB with the hope that the output of the application is in accordance with the needs and desires of users. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using data collection techniques, observations and interviews. In this study, proving that the SIP TB application can provide convenience to users of public transportation (especially Trans Batam) where people can access information about Trans Batam transportation in real time. Abstract

Film is a new form of media that is used to provide technical information to the public as wellas traditional forms of entertainment. The movie "Miracle in Cell No. 7" in Indonesian depictselements of miraculous and good fortune, which is an intriguing subject to research. Thisstudy used descriptive research, which strives to provide methodical, factual, and accurateexplanations of the facts as well as connections between the phenomena underinvestigation. Roland Barthes' semiotics analysis, which includes the film's connotations,denotations, and myths, was used to conduct qualitative research on the moral themes inthe Indonesian version of "Miracle in Cell No. 7"

Abstract

Purchasing decisions are used as an important component when keeping consumers fromswitching. Purchasing decisions are consumer responses to differences in the level ofneeds and real results that are enjoyed after consuming a product/service. Purchasingdecisions have several factors that can influence them, including brand image, socialmedia promotions, and digital marketing. This study aims to analyze the effect of brandimage, social media promotion, and digital marketing simultaneously on purchasingdecisions at XES Shoes Indonesia. The design of this study uses research design andquantitative research methods. The data collection technique was by distributingquestionnaires to 222 respondents, namely consumers who made purchases at XESShoes Indonesia for the July-December 2022 period. The results of this study indicate thatbrand image, social media promotion, and digital marketing partially and simultaneouslyhave a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The results of the test for the coefficientof determination show that brand image, social media promotion, and digital marketingpartially and simultaneously have a significant effect on purchasing decisions by 43.2percent, while the rest are influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Purchasing decisions are thoughts where individuals evaluate various choices and decide on a product from among the many choices. Purchasing decisions are the stage in the decision-making process where consumers actually buy. Decision making is an individual activity that is directly involved in the process of purchasing goods offered by the company. Purchasing decision is a process of making a purchase decision which includes determining what to buy or not to buy and the decision is obtained from previous activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand image on purchasing decisions, the effect of promotion on purchasing decisions, the effect of trust on purchasing decisions and the effect of brand image, promotion and trust on purchasing decisions for garnier facial cleansers in BatamCity. This study uses quantitative research methods with multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there is a positive and significant influence between brand image on purchasing decisions, there is a positive and significant influence between promotions on purchasing decisions, there is a positive and significant influence between trust on purchasing decisions and there is a positive and significant influence between brand image, promotion and trust on purchasing decisions for garnier facial cleansers in Batam City.
