Abstract

PMTCT (Preventing from mother to Child transmision) is one of the methods to prevent HIV transmission from mother to baby. To support this program, a VCT ( Voluntary Counseling Test) is performed on all primigravidas when carrying out Antenatal Care. The phenomenon that occurred was found that there were still primigravida who did not perform VCT examination during Antenatal Care visits. So it is very important to analyze the level of knowledge of primigravida mothers about VCT and VCT examination behavior at the Marie Stopes Clinic, Timor Leste. The research design was analytic with a cross-sectional design. The population was all primigravida mothers who visited the Marie Stopes Clinic. The research design was analytic with a cross-sectional design. The population was all primigravida mothers who visited the Marie Stopes Clinic, totaling 87 people, while the research sample were 34 people. The researcher used accidental sampling to measure research sample. Observational sheet and questionnaire were used to collect the data. Data was analyzed by Chi Square Statistical Test with (p.value = 0.001) that means there was a relationship between primigravida’s knowledge about VCT and behavior to do VCT examination. Factors which play an important role in supporting knowledge of primigravida were age, education and occupation. In addition, health workers take a greatly part in supporting this program, therefore it is expected that health workers will continue to implement integrated antenatal care services especially VCT examination for pregnant woman.

Abstract

Lack of iron pregnant women cause anemia so that the supply of oxygen to the fetus is reduced. Sources of iron, among others, are found in the liver of cows, kidneys, poultry, fish, soybeans, shellfish, fruit, egg yolks, wheat juice and sugar syrup. Based on the initial survey conducted January 2023 on 10 respondents in Klantingsari Village, Tarik District, Sidoarjo Regency, it can be concluded that the incidence of constipation in pregnant women. This research is correlation analytic survey research with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all trimester II and III pregnant women who visited the Class of Pregnant Women Klantingsari Village, Tarik District, Sidoarjo Regency in 2023, sampling using the accidental sampling method with the number of 48 respondents. The instrument used was a checklist. The results of the study were tested using the chi squares test. Based on the degree of freedom (df) = 1 with a significance level of 0.05 The results of calculations from the Statistical Test of the chi square obtained p value 0.001 so that the value <α (0.001 <0.05), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so there is a relationship between regular consumption Fe tablets with constipation in pregnant women. Therefore, it should be balanced with high fiber intake and routine activities to prevent constipation. Keep in mind that the incidence of constipation in second and third trimester pregnant women is not always seen from the regularity of consuming Fe tablets, but there are other factors that support the occurrence of constipation such as physiological factors due to increased levels of progesterone which causes the intestinal peristaltic to be slow, pressure from the uterus an enlarged intestine, lack of activity, etc.

Abstract

Depo MedroxyProgesterone Acetate (DMPA) which gives 150 mg of progesterone in the form of small particles given every 12 weeks by intramuscular injection (in the buttocks area). However, injectable birth control also has many side effects such as weight gain, amenorrhea, headaches, spotting bleeding (Hanafi, 2013). From the results of an initial survey at the Alita Medika Balongbendo Sidoarjo Polyclinic obtained data from 10 respondents showing that there are still many DMPA injection acceptor acceptors with a usage time of more than 2 years that succeeded in amenorrhoea. The purpose of this study was to Analyze the Length of the use of DMPA Injections with Amenorrhea in the Alita Medika Balong Bendo Sidoarjo Polyclinic in 2023. The design of this study was a cross sectional analytic study using a survey (survey research). The population in this study were all DMPA injection KB acceptors who arrived at the Alita Medica Polyclinic Balong Bendo Sidoarjo and took their samples using a nonprobability sampling technique by accidental sampling taken by 25 respondents. The independent variable of this study is the length of the use of DMPA injection KB with a nominal data scale and the dependent variable of this study is the incidence of amenorrhea with a nominal data scale. This research was conducted in January to July 2023 at the Alita Medika Clinic Balong Bendo Sidoarjo. In collecting data from respondents, the next step taken by researchers is to process data by editing, coding, scoring, tabulating, data entry, and cleaning. Data analysis in this study used the coefficient contingency test. From the coefficient contingency test results obtained that the value of p <α = 0.002 <0.005 which means that H1 is accepted is the long relationship between the use of DMPA injection KB with amenorrhea. By using DMPA injection contraception for a long time, amenorrhea will increase. By using DMPA injections for a long period of time, the endometrial growth will be smaller and there will be endometrial atrophy.
